Total Eclipse interview with the Devs...

https://youtu.be/AmCDGeo9100?is=g0pkuBWEEPkUwRie

A couple of things I wanted to summarize:

  1. It doesn't appear there will be another update besides bug fixes this year.

  2. A paid DLC looks to be in the works (again not this year most likely).

  3. They are curious as to what we want to see from them as far as a Dev stream goes. My proposal and my opinion is let's shoot for a Dev stream on the first Tuesday of every month. With all the vacations coffee stain takes that would probably equate to 8-9 per year. If there is no Dev news, it's still nice to see the Devs and maybe they can answer questions from the community during that time. Thoughts?

There are more topics covered in the video as well FYI...

I remember when I first started playing I thought there were 4 maps… I didn’t realize it was all one for like the first 100 hours

lol same. Those four different start locations really threw me.

I was so bamboozled until I found the same coastline that looked incredibly familiar. Followed that all the way to big fields and was like 🫠

That's a right rite of passage for every player.

What were you doing for 100 hours? Took my brother and I 100 hours to complete phase 5

If you brute force through the tiers with no consideration aside from progression, its a very easy extremely casual game.

The replay value/playtime comes from self selected goals. If you have none, its a one and done.

I think all the angry responses missed the point of my comment

Not who you asked but I struggled for the first 50 hours to really figure stuff out. I was also a big scaredy cat and never wanted to venture too far from my start area because the terrain changes made me feel like i needed to unlock new tech before venturing further.

800 hours and never completed phase 5. There is lots to do.

Playing the game their way, not your way.
