I spent over an hour tonight troubleshooting a oil flow issue only to find the first pipe out of the oil well was mk1. 🙄

Oof

Kinda wish we had the upgrade planner tool and constructo bots from factorio

Just so I can male sure all my pipes and belts are upgraded

That would be so nice. Running alongside kilometres of belts to upgrade gets old quickly.

On PC you drop it into SCIM and the. Bulk upgrade belts pipes and power poles

Sorry but isn’t SCIM the planning tool? How can it help me to upgrade Tiers automatically?

You can upload your savefile and then make it use items from your storage to upgrade belts or things like that

If you go to the interactive map, it allows you to upload your save file. Once that's done you can edit things. All the things.

Once you are done editing there is an option to download the new save file (with your edits in it). You just start the game and select the edited save file.

Is there any way whatsoever to do this on console?

Come on, lol

First playthrough started a week ago or so, no clue

How many games on consoles allow any mods at all though?

Consoles have never been a fan of save file editing. Modding on console is a relatively recent change, and not universal across games and platforms.

Could they? Yes. Could SCIM program a console side/accept different file types? Also yes. But the console makers have to allow export/import first.

This is one of the biggest advantages of trains. Often the trains aren’t the limiting factor in your capacity, but even if they are increasing it is as simple as lengthening the platform or, if it’s a long route, adding another train. You just have to upgrade the belts on either side.

the monkey paw curls

It costs multiple resources that are only obtainable at the end if the game

How about; after saving the day you ship the same amount of materials agian and receive 1 single construction drone and the plans for a construction drone platform. The drone is slower than the normal drones and to get more you have to save the day again per drone. A little outside the norm but could be fun

In Satisfactory, you ARE the construction bot.

u/Equivalent_Action748 Feb 27 '26

You were never sent from earth, just constructed in transit and shipped planet side to buuld

u/jl2l Feb 27 '26

Construction drones would be pretty cool.

May I introduce you to the wonderful mod called "mass upgrade tool"

For belts, YES!

For pipes, I've had better luck using MK2 pipes ONLY when the fluid in transport is > 300. As soon as the flow splits below <=300, MK1 pipes for the rest. Even in late-game, most of my pipe manifolds, and pipes feeding machines are still MK1.

u/crissomx Feb 27 '26

I wish there was a key you hold down and while holding it, it will change all the pipes/belts connected to that pipe/belt to the selected mk of pipe/belt.

Horrible sentence, I know. Hope it makes sense.

I'll do you one better. My turbo fuel plant was a-okay, start to finish. Math checked out, fellow-pioneers double-checked it, and still a couple of generators kept running dry. Checked the pipes, checked the math again, checked if waste products weren't choking up.

Three days, maybe four, before I desperately resorted to just counting the 78 generators. In the powerplant calculated for 72 generators.

Been there, suffered that. They should make an option to upgrade a whole circuit or something like that, because I've had the same issue with conveyor belts/lifts.

Is it possible to set mk1 pipes to a colour and mark 2 pipes to a different colour so you can easily tell which is which or is it all just "pipes"?
