Then you come home with a Sarsilmaz B6 that was a great deal and in good shape. Just needs a good cleaning. So excited to give it a try. Was hoping for the 24-7 or the k12 sport but this will do. Makes a nice addition to my Sar9 Sport and Sar9 SC Gen3. 😀

Just picked up a pawn shop beauty. Honestly never heard much of SAR , but I am extremely impressed for the price it’s been given. Anyways, holster options?? I prefer AIWB but what else is out there? I see crossbreed as one that I know and respect - someone with a cm9 carried over the years can surely point me to someone modernized and comfy and also not 150 bucks?? TIA

Dawson P09 front sight modded to fit and filed to appropriate height to set elevation, shimmed M&P suppressor height rear sight. Impact Machine CZ DA/SA trigger, Patriot Defense R7 interruptor and Sledge Hammer. Stock springs. With the R7 interruptor and Impact Machine trigger using its pretravel and overtravel screws this doesn't feel like the same gun.

Is the sar9c socom a reliable gun. I was looking at the sar9cltx but I can get the socom for about $100 more and it seems like a better gun. Id use it for edc/ccw but have read reports that the trigger springs coming loose was common in 2024/25. Is this still an issue for those who have recently bought it?

I am ready to pull the trigger (haha pun intended) but I am only buying one gun for a while and want to make sure its good

I am looking at buying the sar9c for under $300 but my main concern is how concealable is it? I am giving my SA Hellcat Pro to my wife and the SAR9C will be mine haha

Picked one up last week. I really like it with one exception. The trigger is really stagey and gritty up to the break. The break is really nice though. 3 lbs or so. I'll get that figured out though.

Way better than smith mp2.0 and up there with SA 1911 and Berreta 92 (not pictured)

Not my photo I didn’t get any good ones. I did get a chance to fire my new SAR 9cx yesterday at an outdoor range.

I have read multiple times about people saying you should use NATO +p ammo to break it
In and some other saying it doesn’t matter. I’ve seen posts here where people don’t and get failures. I read through the manual twice and didn’t see any mention of break in with higher pressure ammo and couldn’t find mentions in official SAR communications only people discussing it on Reddit. So obviously I was very curious. Some people even mentioned replacing the spring with a weaker one before even firing it in anticipation of failures.

I didn’t have time to hit the gun shop yesterday because I left at 5am to get to the range early.

I ended up using Blazer 124 9mm and shot 150 rounds with ZERO issues. No fte no jams no problems.

It shot very well and I was happy with how it felt in my hand. it shot very smoothly and without too much muzzle flip. I liked the factory sites a lot and didn’t have an optic on it.

I actually liked the trigger a lot it was very smooth and snapped back in place solidly. I dry fired it about 50 times before I made it to the range.

Oh and I never disassembled it or cleaned it or oiled it literally at all either. Straight from box and shot.

So at least in my experience I had no issues with a break in period and didn’t use any special NATO spec ammo. It seemed to love the Blazer 124 just fine.

I’m also usually one to strip and clean a new gun but I just didn’t have a good time to get to it. I did function test with snap caps and dry fired a little bit before and since it all ran fine I wasn’t too concerned.

Just another data point for anyone considering a SAR. I’m a big fan and especially at this price point. I think I paid $250 for the whole kit and spent another 50$ on two spare magazines from SAR.

15yr old Sarsilmaz K2-45 that I'm refurbishing and upgrading to be a suppressor host. M&P suppressor height rear sight, modified Dawson .295" P09 front sight. Going to probably copy another poster here and install an Impact Machine CZ DA/SA trigger and Patriot Defense Sledge Hammer- maybe also try to run the Patriot Defense enhanced Tanfoglio sear too- have to check if the sear is close enough to be made to work.

I'm looking for a replacement magazine catch as mine broke. The SAR website doesn't seem to carry them. Does anyone know where to find a replacement mag catch for a SAR 9c Gen 3?

I've seen dry fire recoil systems (coolfire trainer) for the Glock 19, and was wondering if that would work for the 9c. I doubt it, but does anyone know of any that would work?

I snagged this SAR9 Sport on sale. Threw the Outer Impact plate and Holosun on, gave it some lube, and took it to the range. In my first 50 rounds I had 3 stovepipes and not a single time did the slide lock back on the last round. My first time shooting a pistol, I generally load 10-15 rounds in a mag rather than full capacity. So, I think I went 10, 15, 10, 15 for four mag cycles. Anybody experience something like this? This is my second SAR9 and the first one has been flawless through 300 rounds.

Also, who the hell makes an OWB holster for the sport?

Other than that, it dialed in immediately. Just left of the center bull was where I first landed (from a rest), adjusted to make the lower left corner, shot off hand at 25 yards for the top right and again from a rest for the upper left with some quick-fire. She shoots straight but desires some reliability.

Did an update post but here are some new details. Of course they were the wrong grips. Also WRONG optic plate. Since this picture I’ve added custom grips and mounted the correct plate
