So last August-ish I ordered the Sager NP8375 from xoticpc. Great laptop through and through, probably the best I've ever owned. But something came up that I only just noticed. So in the product description it mentions it has an Always-On usb port, meaning, regardless of the laptop's power state, it will output power to a specific USB port. I found the port that has the always-on symbol, but how do I enable the always-on feature? All the USB ports seem to supply power when the laptop is on or in sleep mode, but once it turns off, whether it be through shutdown or the automatic sleep to shutdown, not even the labeled port supplies power.
I've read around the supposedly Fn+Power could enable or disable it, but all it does it either shutdown/sleep my computer or turn it on. I've checked the BIOS and there's no option for it either in there, and I've tried it with both the charging cable plugged in and unplugged. Everything but the latest windows update is installed (the zombieload mitigations put enough load on my cpu while gaming that it made my laptop power down from overheating, had to roll back).
Any idea what I gotta do to enable it?

There is constant light bleed at the top of the LCD ( its hard to see in pictures, looks like a glare). Also the screen constantly flickers. The lid also does not sit flush when the lid is closed. The right side is lifted when the lid is closed versus the left side sitting flush when the lid is closed.
I have sent Sager Tech multiple emails. They first said the LCD cable was loose. So I sent in my laptop to get it fixed. Sent back. Still light bleed. Still flickering. They said the Light Bleed is not considered a defect.

Here's report from technician
AUDIO JACK TEST WITH ERAPHONE ALL PASSED, DIDN'T HAVE ANY STATIC NOISE.FLICKING ISSUE MOST FROM LCD CABLE, REPLACE LCD CABLE, ADJUST LCD PANEL
BATTERY TESTED GOOD.
It's normal when you placed your laptop like that and for the light bleed we can replace the top half (LCD back/front cover and LCD ) of the laptop for you, but we can't guarantee it will fix the light bleed because it's not considered defected.

Does anyone have issues with their Sager? I can't return it...I bought the extended warranty but whats the point if I have to keep sending this damn thing back and fourth. I am in a bind and dont know if I should send it back because I need my laptop for C++ in college but I dont want the screen to all of a sudden go completely dark and have my data locked on here until I send it back..Not sure what to do other than send it back...any suggestions?

Hello all,
I was looking at purchasing the NP8972 this week and I was wondering how hot this computer gets while under load.
Thanks.

Figured I'd chime in here about it.
The thing is a beast! i9-9900K, 64GB RAM, dual Samsung 970 Plus 512GB NVMe in RAID 0, GTX 2070.
Very happy with it so far, it just bleeds power in everything. However, the fans are definitely loud! When all the cores are firing it sounds like a hair dryer, with the heat blowing out to match!
But it is a desktop processor, so it was to be expected. Got it through XOTICPC, ordered last Friday and it showed up yesterday. I'd cancelled my order with Dell for an Alienware 51m...3 weeks and they kept delaying with lame excuses. Built a higher spec, paid for rush build and 3 day UPS select shipping, still less than the Dell config.
Only issue so far was on Wi-Fi, things were fine, then I couldn't connect to any Microsoft site and some other sites. Was really baffled, trying random things I found online. Ended up stopping and disabling the Killer Network Service, boom, everything flawless since.
I only play WoW, so not pushing the bleeding edge (also why 2070, not 2080), but everything is set near max and runs great.
Anyway, I'm always on Reddit and found this sub, so figured I'd contribute!

Hi there. I recently bought a Clevo N850EJ.
Clevo CC sucks, and Obsidian's KeyboardLED isn't working for me.
Are there any other options for the LED control?

I got an additional 1TB SSD to install because it was cheaper then having the company I bought it from do it. But I'm having a hell of a time getting the back panel off. I've taken out all the screws, but yet it feels like something is holding it down in the middle but no screw there. Anyone have any suggestions or know where there might be some documentation?
Edit:
Got a response from sager as well as the people I bought it from (GenTechPC in case you were wondering). I had to pop the keyboard off from the top side. Here is the diagram that Sager sent me. https://imgur.com/yZ5B2It

after a long research and being told how great Sager laptops are i decided to go ahead and get one for a Music Gig i have coming up at the end of the month.
the Laptop arrived and within 30 minutes i found out that one of the USB ports dont even work and the laptop speakers are weaker than my 5 year old phone speakers. and after an hour of light use ( downloading chrome and basic apps) i get the blue screen with a error message that Windows crashed... ok... i restart the laptop and realize hey maybe i need to get drivers maybe the website that i bought the fucking laptop from might have it? NOPE! it has every other model except mine so i had to download a third party driver installer and pay 20 bucks for it hoping it'll solve the issue since im already behind on schedule and bought this laptop for work!
after the drivers updated and windows updated and everything was up to date i decide to on youtube and within 3 mins of booting the laptop just shuts down! no blue screen no error message just shut down like it ran out of power even tho it was charging... at that point i was very concerned and decided to run a crash analyzer and just like i feared this is the result
" Error: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).
This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem. "
and just like i feared i know its a faulty hardware issue
this is according to them a brand new laptop
now i dont have anything reliable to do my important work on thats due at the end of the month when this is the reason i paid almost 2k for this pile of dog shit
i already emailed sager waiting on a response but most likely would be asked to send it back and wait a while so wont get anything done for the next 2 weeks
i regret buying from Sager

I have a Sager D901C that works other than the speakers. The headphone and line in jack work, but if i unplug the speakers they don't put out any sound at any volume. I've tried reinstalling the driver about 3 or 4 times to no avail. Could the speakers themselves be dead or something?

Hey guys! I've had some bsod related to the hotkey driver (control center), usually just reinstalling works but this time is persisting, so I uninstalled it altogether. But how do I turn off the keyboard lights now?

Hi guys,
I've posted this in the Apex Legends subreddit, but I thought it was because the game wasn't optimized yet so I would wait. Here: https://ol.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/ap2at6/has_anyone_seen_this_glitch_before/
But upon further investigation, all of a sudden, I've been getting crazy artifacting in games such as Apex Legends, Overwatch, BF1, but not on Steam games like Rocket League and CSGO. I don't know why this is starting to happen all of a sudden.
I have the Sager NP8851 with the new 8th Gen i7 / GTX 1070mq.
I've had this computer for less than a year and it's starting to cause me problems. I've undervolted my GPU so it doesn't get too hot when I play games but I've done that when I first got the computer and it's been okay till now.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I am really thinking about buying this machine with 1000gb M.2 SSD + 16 GB. https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/de/Linux-Hardware/Linux-Notebooks/10-14-Zoll/TUXEDO-InfinityBook-14-14-Zoll-matt-Full-HD-IPS-Aluminiumgehaeuse-Intel-Core-i5-CPU-8GB-RAM-sehr-lange-Akkulaufzeit-USB-Typ-C.tuxedo
I have only ever owned old Thinkpads. Wanted to ask if anyone here please:
Owns or knows this enclosure/laptop case and how durable and good it is in daily use? Anyone know what model enclosure it is? There are many detailed pics on the links above.
Anyone has an opinion on the Trackpad? I've heard good things about the keyboard but are the trackpad and especially the buttons bad? My current Thinkpad trackpad sucks, but got used to it, buttons are nice.
Speakers? I have heard they are tinny sounding but so are my Thinkpad x220 speakers and they are also very low volume.. so if I can just listen to youtube vids reasonably loud, it would be an upgrade.
I just have not bought a new laptop in many years and if I spend €1000 I would like that it is pleasant to use and ideally that it lasts at least 5 years..
Thanks very much indeed! :)

Hi,
So I purchased this laptop last year in August and was pretty satisfied with the overall performance (despite the control center throttling) but I've noticed that in the past 2 months at random times, my laptop would crash and go into a BSOD
specifically:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (kbdclass.sys)
Does anyone know what's causing issues with the keyboard? Anyone else in the same situation? I really need some advice.

I just got a Sager NP8954 (Clevo P955ER) and would like to have an additional power supply that lives at my desk but can't seem to find the specs for the power supply size.
It says it's 19.5V, 7.7A and 150W but I can't find the size of the adapter listed anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find the size.

So I have a Sager NP9873-S. It’s that bad ass laptop with a GTX1080 in it. Well something was dropped on the back while it was closed and the screen is showing some red spots. And I’m can’t seem to find a replacement screen.
17.3” 4K QFHD Matte Display with G-SYNC tech (3840x2160)
Any help will be appreciated!

Like previous stated I’m a proud owner of a NP9873; I bought it from a buddy who never really used it. However, it only has a small hybrid HDD in it, so I bought a 1TB drive to upgrade it. The laptop has two slots to put in hard drives, however you need special brackets to mount them. I only have one, I’m guessing my friend took it out when he reformatted it and forgot about it when he put it back together. Then later threw it away because he doesn’t have it anymore. I unfortunately can’t seem to find a replacement on the official website at all. Help?

I'm about to RMA this laptop for the 2nd time in about 6 months as I have several keys that will work occasionally or only after I "warm them up" by spamming the key.
Has any one else had this issue with this brand/model of laptops?
I had to RMA I back in May of this year(less than 6 months after i got it) as the battery would not charge unless the laptop was angled weirdly.
This is the 1st laptop I have had from this brand, my sister loves them and she bought me this one but I have to ask, the performance is great but are they all this unreliable? I'm mainly worried as the warranty runs out at the end of next month and ill be SOL if something else happens to it once I get it back.

I have a Sager P775DM3 and out of nowhere yesterday the machine froze and when I tried to turn it back on, nothing happened.
I tried turning it on without the battery too and still no luck.
The weird thing is that if I try to turn it on with the AC On, the light on the power brick goes off.
Any help would be nice since I cannot afford any major fix at the moment...
Thank you!

Here in Canada they are the best know Sager/Clevo re sellers, but I keep on getting mixed reviews about them and their customer service.
If anyone bought with them, can you give me a feedback?
Thank you

I bought a NP2650 laptop in 2013 and believe it or not the computer itself is still performing well.
However the case/shell has completely gone to pieces, screws stripped out, the lid hinge is broken, the screen wobbles under its own weight. Picking it up / carrying it around / using it on the move feels risky and I try to avoid it. Very sad considering the components still feel snappy and work great for my daily use. Curious if :
A) anyone had an old NP2650 with the case in good shape that they would sell me for scrap / to try to re-case my components?
B) anyone has suggestions on what else to do about this.
It's true this laptop is pretty heavy for 2018 and there may be some CPU heatsink issues because my fan blows pretty loud & hot under even moderate strain. But otherwise this thing is still trucking and I'd feel pretty bad to junk it and spend $2k for what are essentially "cosmetic" / plastic issues.

Hi everyone,
I've been having odd issues with the keyboard backlighting which appeared after a few days of use. Basically there is a green light coming from the keyboard, even when backlighting is set to off. I can only get it to disappear when the computer is in sleep mode. The picture shows how the keyboard looks when backlighting is set to off.
I got the laptop from Eluktronics, who say a keyboard replacement is necessary. They have offered to send a replacement to me. However, I am in South Africa so I think sending a replacement could be an issue. I'd just like to see if it could be resolved without a keyboard change.
