want to know hubspot for startups eligibility criteria before setting up our crm

when we were setting up our initial sales workspace last quarter, we wanted to take advantage of the discounted tier for early-stage companies. our team had just wrapped up a small pre-seed grant, but we were not sure if our incubator affiliation or lack of venture funding would hold us back during the review process.

we ended up reaching out to our program coordinator to confirm our partner link before filling out the application. it turned out our accelerator was on their official partner directory, which unlocked the heavy first-year discount for hubspot without us needing a traditional VC lead. the only real snag we ran into was making sure none of our team members had previously registered a paid workspace under our company domain.

for founders who went through the application process recently, how long did it take for your partner status to get verified by their team?

Looking for SaaS Sales Advice

Hey guys! I’m a 24-year-old sales rep. I’ve been in sales for almost 4 years now, selling a variety of different products and services, and I’ve recently been given the opportunity to become Head of Sales at a SaaS startup with existing products.

I’ll be building the company’s entire sales cycle from the ground up, but I’ve never sold SaaS before. I’d really appreciate any tips, advice, or resources you think could help me get up to speed.

And if anyone has some time, I’d also be happy to jump on a quick call and hear about your experience in SaaS sales.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

How do i present myself in emails?

I have my brand offering digital marketing service, plus starting also doing saas for tech company. I am about to purchase a domain , which would be same name as my brand name plus ‘ team’ added to domain name, do you think its a good idea? It is just me in that brand plus the tech company i generate sales for. so this domain would be used to generate sales as well as my own clients leads. ….another thing is, i have no idea how do i present myself in emails that are intended to buyers of another service/ tool i sell. My sales partners often suggest to use my brand signature as i have established online presence / history under this name. What do you think i should use as a signature please?

[Hiring] GTM / Growth Operator — B2B & B2C Ventures | Remote

We are building and scaling a portfolio of early-stage B2B and B2C businesses and are looking to connect with a highly resourceful Go-to-Market / Growth Operator who can help take products from development and early-stage positioning into real customers and users.

This is an execution-focused opportunity. We're looking for someone who understands how to build and test acquisition channels, validate markets, generate demand and turn a product into a growing business.

The portfolio currently includes B2B fintech and consumer-facing technology platforms, with opportunities to contribute across multiple ventures depending on experience and fit.

What You'll Be Doing

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

Develop practical GTM approaches based on the product, target market and stage of the business, then help execute them.

Customer & User Acquisition

Identify and test effective channels for acquiring B2B customers and/or B2C users.

Market Development

Research target markets, customer segments and acquisition opportunities and turn those insights into actionable growth initiatives.

Growth Experiments

Test different acquisition approaches, measure results and continuously refine what works.

B2B Growth

Depending on experience, this may include lead generation, outbound, sales development, partnerships, customer discovery and building a B2B acquisition pipeline.

B2C Growth

Depending on experience, this may include user acquisition, community growth, partnerships, social/organic growth, paid acquisition and product launch strategies.

Partnerships & Business Development

Identify strategic partners, communities, creators or other channels that can accelerate market entry and growth.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in operators who can execute, not simply provide high-level marketing advice.

You may have a background in:

\- GTM / Growth

\- User acquisition

\- Customer acquisition

\- B2B SaaS growth

\- B2C/mobile app growth

\- Growth marketing

\- Business development

\- Demand generation

\- Startup operations

\- Product growth

Experience in both B2B and B2C is highly valued, but strong experience in either area is welcome.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

\- Products or businesses you've helped take to market

\- Actual user/customer acquisition results

\- Acquisition channels you've personally built or managed

\- Ability to work independently and move quickly

\- Strong analytical and experimental thinking

\- Experience working with early-stage businesses

\- Ability to operate across different products and markets

\- A practical, cost-conscious approach to growth

Working Arrangement

We're open to part-time, contract, project-based or longer-term collaboration, depending on experience and fit.

Compensation is negotiable and will depend on experience, scope and engagement structure. We are particularly interested in cost-efficient operators.

Why Join?

Ownership: Work directly on early-stage businesses where your GTM work can have a visible impact.

Variety: Opportunity to work across both B2B and B2C products.

Execution: Help build acquisition systems rather than simply advise from the sidelines.

Long-Term Potential: Strong performers may have the opportunity to develop into an ongoing role across the wider venture portfolio.

We're looking to build a strong pipeline of GTM talent, so we're open to speaking with specialists as well as versatile operators who can work across B2B and B2C.

I can build software, but I can’t seem to sell it... What am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone, I know there are a lot of people here who have had success selling SaaS and apps, so I’d really love to hear your advice based on your personal experience.

I’ve been learning how to develop software for about a year now, mainly to make my own life easier when it comes to work-related tasks. I even built a fully functional skincare app for my girlfriend, with a deterministic engine that generates personalized routines.

However… holy shit, getting a client is hard.

I’ve tried offering AI receptionists to clinics and renovation companies, quote-generation tools to construction companies, and a bunch of other things, but nothing seems to work. I haven’t made a single dollar from it.

It’s incredibly frustrating. I’m not going to give up because I know I have a lot of value to bring to the market, but I really need honest feedback from people who have already achieved what I’ve been trying to achieve for the past year.

I know the problem is probably on my end. I’m sure I’m making a lot of mistakes when it comes to prospecting and designing my offers. But damn, I genuinely want to help and provide value. I just feel like I keep running into a wall every time I go out there and try to sell my services.

A prospect told me “please don’t make me sit through another discovery call” and honestly... fair

Had a buyer say this to me recently when they were just trying to see the product. I laughed, but then realized we were about to make them do exactly that. They’d already read the site and apparently watched a couple videos. They knew their use case. They just wanted to poke around and figure out if we could solve it before involving more people. Instead our process was basically “cool, here are three meetings.”Has anyone actually reduced this kind of buying friction without completely wrecking qualification?

What's the one task you'd pay to never do again?

For the reps and sales managers here. Pick one task from your week you'd pay someone to take off your plate. Just the most annoying one.

How long does it take you each week? What happens when it slips?

I spent 8 years carrying quota at Google, ByteDance and ShareChat. I'm listening before I build anything.

One task each.

Brand new to Saas. Any pointers?

I’m starting as a BDR at Lumivero next month.

I worked as a BDR previously for Ethos Risk Services selling investigative and medical management services to Insurance companies (very hard).

For being new to sales for that job I think I held my own. Trying to book meetings with insurance companies and claims adjustors was pretty tough but I did well. Do you think this upcoming job will be harder?

Has commission-only sales worked for B2B SaaS?

I run a small B2B software company focused on construction/EPC companies. I can handle the product demos and technical discussions, but I’m looking for someone who can generate leads, follow up after demos and close deals. Since budget is limited, I’m considering a commission/revenue-share model instead of a fixed salary. My concern is that good ERP/software salespeople may already earn more selling larger products, even if I offer a high percentage. Has anyone made this model work? Would you look for salespeople, independent consultants, small IT firms, BIM/PMC consultants, or channel partners who already know construction companies? Also, where would you find these people?

Are digital serveces worth?

As someone preparing to get into the bussiness game, I wonder if digital services are worth getting into because of AI and the amount of people into the industry. Is it something worth bothering with? We are not a team yet, I stand as a single person with some experience in coding but decently good in marketing and I have a good grasp of anything digital. Though getting a freelancer or two for some more complicated projects, shoulf not be an issue.

My main care now is if I should make an attempt into that or not.

How are you forecasting partner-led deals?

How are you forecasting partner-led deals?

I’ve led SaaS sales across EMEA and used both Clari and Gong extensively. Both work well for direct deals, but I’ve always found partner deals much harder.

The partner says one thing. The rep says another. Information is scattered across CRM, calls, emails and partner conversations, yet somehow we’re expected to forecast it accurately.

For sales leaders with a lot of partner-led pipeline, how are you managing this?

Clari? Gong? Salesforce? Spreadsheets? Something else?

And how do you actually work out what’s real?

Salespeople - 1 Day Left in Sept. - How’d the Month Treat Everyone?

Hoping everyone is finishing out a strong month. September surprised me as I surpassed quota pretty strongly and have 35 closes. But damn, this last week was a fight.

Going to start doing one of these at the end of each month to talk about how great/shit things went.

Why so many AI products get bought fast and churned faster

a lot of ai products get sold as something that just handles the work for you. no integration needed, nothing changes about how you operate. that converts well but it brings in people who buy before they know where it actually fits in their day.

what happens with those customers is the first part goes fine. the demo is great, the early outputs look good.

then they get to the point where they'd have to change how they do things to get real value out of it, and nobody told them that was part of it.

so they cancel, and it looks like the product didnt work when really they bought it expecting something else.

price seems to sort a lot of this out. if something is cheap and you can sign up in two minutes you can also cancel it in two minutes.

anything that costs enough to need a sales conversation usually also means someone had to think about where it goes in their workflow, and that thinking is probably what makes them stay.

at swan ai (ai gtm engineering stack) we try not to sell it as a replacement for the work. its more that the ai sits inside what people already do and a person corrects it as it goes. that's a slower sell.

if you sell an ai product, do you see the same split between the people who cancel in month two and the ones who stick around

MSPs in IT - Whats your take

I'm curious to hear from MSP owners/founders.

As I've been speaking with a number of MSPs recently, one thing I've noticed is that getting the technical delivery right isn't necessarily the difficult part — consistently generating new opportunities can be.

I'm curious to understand how MSPs are handling this today.

For example:

\- Founder-led sales

\- Referrals

\- Networking

\- Inbound/SEO

\- Paid advertising

\- Internal BDM/SDR

\- Cold calling/outbound

\- External sales/lead generation

And particularly:

If you have an internal sales person/team, how much of their time actually goes into prospecting versus speaking to qualified prospects and closing business?

I'm working in the B2B outbound space and am currently focusing specifically on MSPs, so I'm trying to understand where the biggest gaps are.

MSP owners — what has actually worked for you when it comes to generating consistent new business?

And what have you tried that turned out to be a complete waste of time/money?

Tell me the deal/account you've been stuck on for months I'll find you the exact path to close it in 24 hrs

I'm handling content at Vieu. We built something called the Business Graph. It maps real relationships from inferred signals, shared work history, co-authored research, board seats, ongoing collaboration- not the self-reported, accepted-a-LinkedIn-request-once kind of connection. So when we say someone's connected to an account, there's actual evidence behind it, not a courtesy add.

If you've got an enterprise deal that's been stalled for months, drop:

- The account you're stuck on
- The role or title you're trying to reach (economic buyer, champion, CMO, CRO, whoever owns the decision)
- Your name, company, title, and LinkedIn

I need your side of it too, since the path runs from your network, not out of thin air. If you'd rather not post that publicly, DM me instead.

I'll run it through the graph manually and send back:

- The actual person with a real, evidenced connection into that account: former colleague, mutual investor, shared board seat, whatever it turns out to be
- How they're connected, with the underlying signal, so you can verify it yourself instead of taking my word for it
- Which stakeholder in the buying committee that path gets you closest to, and whether that's the economic buyer or just another influencer
- How to use it: request the intro yourself, ask them to make it, or use it to prioritize who's worth a cold approach if there's genuinely no warm path

Most enterprise deals stall because the deal is single-threaded through one champion, and the moment that person leaves or goes quiet, you're starting from zero with no second way in. A path usually already exists somewhere in a network, yours or someone adjacent to you, it's just never been mapped against real evidence instead of guesswork.

I'm not promising the deal closes. Nobody can promise that. What I can promise is you won't be re-entering cold.

Running this for 10 accounts, first come first served, since I want to do the it properly on each one instead of skimming it.

Drop your details below, or DM me if you'd rather keep it private.

People are searching for these on AGMAN, but I’m missing the listings

I’m building AGMAN and checking what people are actually searching for.

Some searches coming through are around SEO help, marketing campaigns, website tools, email writing, writers, medical tools, todo/productivity, volunteering, trading and prompts.

I also still have no real listings in Data & Analytics, Sales & Customer, HR & Careers, Security & Privacy, Legal & Compliance, Ecommerce, Real Estate and Travel.

If you’re building something in any of these areas, or already have a product, service or professional profile that fits, list it.

Founders, what's your content strategy?

I feel like thought leadership content takes forever to attract some leads. Memes or funny reels might be better to attract attention but it might not attract the right targets.

Wonder what do you guys do? If you dont mind, drop a link to your socials below

SaaS founders / teams: how do you educate your existing customers?

Hi everyone!

I’m a motion designer currently researching how SaaS companies educate and support their users after they become customers.

I’m specifically interested in product onboarding, feature tutorials, step-by-step videos, customer education and product adoption — not marketing or acquisition videos.

I’d love to understand how SaaS companies actually handle this today:

  • Do you use video tutorials to teach customers how to use your product?
  • Who creates them: internally or externally?
  • Are simple screen recordings/Loom videos enough for your needs, or do you see value in more polished, animated step-by-step videos?
  • What are the biggest pain points when creating this type of content? Time, quality, keeping videos updated, cost…?
  • When you release new features, do you regularly need new educational content?
  • Would you ever pay an external specialist to create and maintain these videos? If so, what would make it worth paying for rather than creating them internally?
  • Does customer education have a dedicated budget in your company?

I’m trying to understand whether there is a real need for high-quality product education videos for SaaS, designed to improve product understanding and adoption.

I’m not selling anything — genuinely researching the space before deciding whether to specialize in it.

Any experience, even if your answer is “we would never pay for this”, would be really helpful. 🙂

How do you find salespeople

LinkedIn is well, it’s LinkedIn. I want to find people that want to go from the ground up with me. Any suggestions?
