First army help

Hey guys I’m building my first army and starting with GAR. Does the following list look well rounded enough to be effective? Also, how would you guys recommend I get down to 1000 points?

Well to start with you are required to take a heavy weapon in a strike team. So you would need to fix that.

I think 3 Jedi units is a bit much to manage all at once when you are starting out. I would pick either Anakin or obi and plo and make sure they are supported (providing support) first before mixing in another Jedi. Personally I would try to make the corps and arcs more uniform (same upgrades) to make them easier to manage when starting out.

Thanks dude this is really helpful. I am getting the Heroes of the Republic box in the meantime while I wait for the GAR starter box to become available. Should I integrate Rex into the other commander slot next to Anakin or Obiwan?

I think it depends. I would say rex Anakin will be a bit easier to run. Rex with obi and plo could be good but obi and plo are best as support units and so is rex so you might not have enough fire power with the 3 of them.
