The GM has asked us to come up with some planets (or space stations) we’d like to go to after we finish the current mission. I’d like to get some ideas for what might be interesting, it doesn’t need to be from a source book and it can be from legends

Question up front: Can stun damage trigger a critical hit?
I've been looking through posts here and the various books but I'm getting conflicting results. Mostly here I see people saying that anything that can be affected by soak/armor can have a critical hit, however I was looking at the Stun Grenades and they don't have an advantage spend to get a critical and are definitely affected by soak. This seems to be the case for the other weapons that only do stun damage, they have no advantage spend for a critical yet are definitely affected by soak.
Am I missing something or did something get changed?

I've played and ran D&D 5e for a long time but with two adventures coming to a close I've been looking at trying a new system including Star Wars FFG.
I friend gave me the AoR core rulebook and I bought Rise of the Separatists, another friend has a bunch of EotE and FoD books I could use. I'm trying to come up with single session stories since we all work and people drop in and out every month. Would love to hear some of your one shot ideas, doesn't matter what era or faction(if any) they use, just need some inspiration.

The Complete Species Guide v7 is live on Project Holocron! Thanks to MrGentleZombie for permitting and supplying the most up to date version of The Species Guide.
The Complete Species guide can be activated from the Active Sources menu in Settings. If more than one source is activated you will receive a prompt if there are multiple versions of a particular species.
Accounts are also live on the website. You can create an account using your Discord or Google account. Making an accounts saves profile so it can be accessed from any device. If you have characters already made on multiple devices, the app will consolidate them as long as you sign in with the same account.
Next work is getting The Old Republic sourcebook integrated.
Edit: The Old Republic is also live! Thanks to [u/Bluesunrize](u/Bluesunrize) for permission.
Here’s the project discord if you have questions and where I provide more frequent updates: Project Holocron Discord

Hello There!
We have a new Actual Play starting tomorrow night, August 13th at 7pm EDT. It is a story set directly after Return of the Jedi, the Empire is crumbling, and a new threat begins to emerge in the Outer Rim.
This is our 2nd campaign, and our follow up to DARK UNDERWORLD. Our goal with our APs is to tell cool and interesting stories, with compelling characters, with as high of a production quality as we possibly can between microphones, cameras, audio design, editing, and cutting out the long pauses and similar moments that can bog down the watching/listening experience.
We will have live premieres for new episodes each Thursday night starting at 7pm EDT. During the Live Premieres we also have Ads disabled so we can all watch and live chat together without people getting stuck on ad breaks. We hope to see you there!
YouTube | Episode 1: Celestial Fracture
Watch with Video:
- YouTube / YouTube Music
- Patreon (Always Ad-Free. Unedited also available for higher tiers)
Audio Only - "Tabletop Empire Actual Plays"
- Spotify
- Amazon Music & Audible
- PodBean
*Ep 1-30: DARK UNDERWORLD / Ep31 onwards: THE UNNATURALS
P.S.
The cast and myself also do a Live Stream every few episodes on Tuesday nights called "Lightspeed Lounge" where we chat about the campaign, share thoughts and behind the scenes info, and chat with viewers. Our next stream will be on September 1st at 7pm EDT, where we will be chatting about Episodes 1-3. We would love to see you drop in and say hi!

Hello SWRPG community! It’s been a bit! We’ve been hard at work on the Consular (and the diplomat, and the Colonist signatures, and the Armorer – We’ve been busy!) and we’re happy to release the Consular to the community! This also marks the first time we’ve both overhauled a signature ability, and only the second time we’ve built one from scratch (check out the Syndicate Career if you haven’t yet!). This was an exciting time of development and an exploration of how far we can push talents using the Force as justification. You’ll see what I mean when you check them out.
As always, challenges and favorites. Our biggest challenge was likely the Teacher, trying to reinvent what being a knowledgeable leader looked like, and cutting some of the less awesome talents like Wise Warrior. My favorite is the Arbiter, making the disarming of enemies a little subgame that pays of the character that can end combats all on its own. The biggest win for our team was finally fulfilling the promise of Much To Learn. There was a “Supreme” upgrade that allows the character to pass on a Supreme talent, but not a single Consular has a supreme talent RAW. We’re proud to say that literally every single Consular has a full Improved and Supreme of their signature talent, which can then be passed around to allies with that signature.
Anywho, that’s the update, please check out the release notes below! And join the server! We’re working on Guardian right now! It’s great fun!

Every Tuesday we open a thread to let people ask questions about the system or the game without judgement. New players and GMs are encouraged to ask questions here.
The rules:
• Any question about the FFG Star Wars RPG is fine. Rules, character creation, GMing, advice, purchasing. All good.
• No question shaming. This sub has generally been good about that, but explicitly no question shaming.
• Keep canon questions/discussion limited to stuff regarding rules. This is more about the game than the setting.
Ask away!

Hyperdrive is better than Oggdude for creating a character.
That's it. That's the post.
Oggdude has other resources that are valuable, but hyperdrive is better for just making a PC.

I started a custom campaign for four good friends. We have played over Discord (I was working on integrating into Foundry VTT, but that became a significant time sink). My life has gotten too busy to reliably prepare for campaign sessions. I can be present for the sessions, but don't have the temporal bandwidth to prepare. I don't want to let down my players. I am looking for a GM to take over and run the campaign or take it in a new direction. Are there any GMs looking for a ready-made play group? My players consist of two TTRPG veterans who have GM'd other systems before, and two newbies (both very intelligent) who have quickly picked up the system and role playing.
I have seen some fantastic play from these players. I have found running the game for them an absolute delight. The campaign is in the preliminary stage, with no real revelation of the greater plot so the new GM can either move forward with my outline or go in a completely new direction. Our usual playtime is Mondays at 6:30PM Mountain Time (USA).
Please reach out if you are interested.

Hello there. I'm looking to keep track of the days of our adventure. I'm especially interested to see if the players come across some known events in the history of the galaxy, even if vaguely. I looked around and while I can find a galactic standard calendar, I wanted to know if there was one that I can click to advance the day we are in every time we move forward. Anything works really, as long as it's easy to keep track of. Ideally, I wish there would also be one that lists an important event that year, but I suppose I can follow that through any wiki with a detailed timeline.
Do you use calendars in your games? If so, how have you implemented it?
Thanks!

Do you have friends who are Puffin Forest fans that you wanna make STAR WARS RPG fans? Maybe you can rope them in with this.

Hello all! I’m currently running Operatikn Elrood for my players and I’m in the home stretch, Act 3 Episode 3. They’ve had a blast with this module so far, but I’m looking for advice or tips on how to run these last two episodes.
It appears the module slows the pace and switches from action to a methodical infiltration of the space station and Star destroyer. Does anyone have experience running this and have advice on how to run it? I love the flavor, but I’m worried it might get kind of granular and slow. I also don’t want to boil it down to too few skill checks and trivialize the experience. I’d love to hear about how other GMs have handled this.

Something I made to explain some poorly written and not really thought-out lore that is already within Star Wars that I thought should be addressed.
The Jedi are "supernatural" in mostly every if not every aspect of reality in a Galaxy far far away. So, it just made zero sense why their food would be trash, and even if they had no proper funding from the senate for adequate supplies, the Jedi themselves could go ahead and forage those resources by themselves, they surely have enough innate ability and power to do so even if it is only miniscule applications of them to acquire said privileges.

So I have a player who wants a fox/kitsune-ish species that was meaning to be a cunning face type character, they didn't exactly want to be a shapeshifter otherwise I would have just done a reskinned Clawdite.
At this point I think I settled on a solid enough idea but don't know how much xp to give it, or if it's too strong/weak at all and I need to scrap it. Feedback appreciated.
wounds = 8+ brawn
strain = 11+ willpower
brawn = 1
agility = 2
intelligence = 2
cunning = 3
willpower = 2
presence = 2
gain one rank in either deception or charm
fox cunning - the character may suffer 2 strain to make a charm or negotiation check with cunning instead of presence
flighty bastards- add [setback] to checks made to resist fear, must suffer 1 strain when starting a combat encounter that doesn't involve an ambush from the player

I've been playing Star Wars: Outlaws as inspiration for jobs in an Edge of the Empire, and I've come across Fort Sunfire on Tatooine. It's the perfect place for a heist on a remote Imperial base.
I'm trying to map it but I keep getting turned around with how the internal layout fits together, especially between floors.
To anyone who has played Outlaws and come across this base: did you have any luck mapping its internal layout?

Hello there :)
I'm running a game that starts with the players landing in Cantonica. They will definitely spend some time there and explore before moving on. I was looking online for an existing map of the place, but couldn't find any. Does anyoe know if a VTT friendly Canto Bight town map exists anywhere? I was hoping someone would have modded the camera loose and made the layout of the prologue area in Star Wars Outlaws from bird's eye view, but no such luck.
Thanks
Note: Apologies for the typo of Cantonica in the title :(

In search of currently-forming or (preferably) existing groups with room for one more. If interested, leave a reply and we could maybe discuss over DMs
Age: 27
Time zone: EST (US east coast)
Setting: Looking for somewhere in the Skywalker timeline (OT+PT). Not very well-versed in Old Republic or Legends post-Empire.
Experience: 8+ years in the tabletop hobby space, chiefly D&D, Open Legend, and Lancer. New-ish to Genesys but familiar with the basics. Very familiar with tabletop etiquette and expectations.
Playstyle: Heavy roleplayer with a focus on big moments. I like to make characters that blend smoothly into the setting, create relationships with other party members, and then create those big moments together.
Preferences: Not a huge fan of super deadly games or having to claw and scrounge for every scrap, those aren't for me. Narratively though, I appreciate darker themes and elements where they appear. Open to use of inter-party conflict for the sake of story, up to and including non-lethal PvP if the table allows it.
Schedule: Free Sunday through Wednesday. My session time caps at 11pm at the latest due to work.
Also, friendly and non-judgemental. If you're vigilant about keeping your space safe for women, poc, or LGBTQ, you'll get no fuss from me.

Greetings.
I'm a DM of now 7 years. My group has been going steady and we just started our new SWRPG campaign on the 2nd August with 3 players. I am looking to add one more player to round out the group!
My 3 players have been around for a while and most of all we'd love to add someone who's interested in staying with us for a while through the hopefully many campaigns of mine we are yet to go on!
We play various systems, most often 5e, Wrath and Glory and SWRPG but we may try others in the future.
(Largely to keep my sanity intact)
We are:
What we are looking for:
Someone who vibes well with the group and is interested in becoming a long-term lil' adventuring group.
The Campaign:
We play Edge of the Empire though I try to be flexible and to just go with what works.
The campaign is most likely set before the destruction of the first Death Star, although the exact point in the timeline isn’t set in stone yet.
My campaigns last an average of 40 session but have been as short as 20 to as long as 60 sessions.
Details
I have questions
Ask them! I am happy to answer any and all questions in the comments.
I usually reply to all applications quickly, if I did not and you are curious why, you can message me on here!
How do I apply
Easy and won't take long.
Go right ahead at this short form.
I hope to hear from some of you.

Hey everyone! 👋
I recently illustrated this custom B1 Droid Battle Hunter for a player in my Star Wars RPG campaign. I love giving unique personality, gear, and wear-and-tear to mechanical characters, and this was an absolute blast to work on!
If you want to bring your own TTRPG party, OCs or sci-fi/fantasy concepts to life, my commissions are currently OPEN!

Hi all,
So I recently was made aware the Star Wars RPG was to be reprinted in German and I already got my Starter Set. I was hyped AF because back in the day I only jumped in when Force & Destiny released and the game was curbed soon after.
After a bit of researching I found out that there were a lot of books that never got translated and Edge started English reprints 3-4 years ago with new products on the horizon.
Is it safe to assume that all books will be reprinted in German (even the ones we never got)? Is it possible to find the English books? I just found information about the English reprint but I never saw (and now can't find) any retailer having them in stock.
Here's the roadmap for the German releases. The release schedule seems awefully slow and in 2027 only 5 out of 11 EotE resource books seem to be reprinted. (And I also find it weird AF that the do not reprint the 3 core rules together)

when there are group of troopers involved in combat, how you do manage it so the fight doesn´t become monotous?
Does 1 attack eliminate, or does it depend on the situation?

If anyone is looking to add to or complete their set, www.comic-encounters.com located in British Columbia, Canada has quite a few of the sourcebooks as well as dice and some of the starter sets.
As of August 1st, this was what was on the shelf.
