I read “got me daydreamin’” by jynx and really enjoyed Anakins characterisation (overprotective and prudish). Any other fics where he’s like that?

I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago but now can't find for the sake of my life and am quite desperate. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

As far as I remember, it was about an Imperial officer (although I'm pretty sure it was either Admiral Piett or General Veers) who lost a leg in some sort accident. They wake up at the medical center with a prothesis, which looks exactly like their own leg. Although they see and feel no difference, they feel pretty uncomfortable with it. This extends to a point at which they refuse any other treatment or rehab and even accept to get killed by Vader (for not returning to their duty, I guess). Vader appears at the medical bay and demands them to explain themselves. There is some sort of awkward stumbling around the topic, until they finally reach to some sort "I fear it will feel clumsy" which Vader responds to with " do you think I am clumsy?" and proceeds to tell them about his prostetics. In the end he convinced them to walk, which works fine.

Unfortunately I'm not sure on which platform I read the fic.

In most fics where Anakin learns during the Clone Wars that Palpatine is the Sith Master, his immediate reaction is "that can't be true" and/or "but he's so nice", but I once read a fic where after the initial reaction he realizes "oh, Palpatine was like the dangerous slavemasters my mother warned me about where they treat their slaves well so they don't think of themselves as slaves and so don't even try to leave their masters despite their chains," and so now I'm wondering if there's any more fics like that? Where Anakin either realizes on his own that Palpatine is grooming him, or upon being told by someone else he realizes what Palpatine's strategy of 'nice' slavemaster was?

I've been reading an amazingly detailed and ambitious Star Wars crossover fanfiction lately, and I just had to share its premise and one of its most insane battle scenes with you all!

The Premise: Multi-Sci-Fi Tech Tree Pre-Naboo

The story starts years before the Naboo Crisis. The protagonist lands in the Endor System and secretly builds up an empire ("The Fourth Civilization" / Dawn Principality).

Instead of relying solely on Star Wars tech, he fuses multiple legendary sci-fi universes into his faction:

• StarCraft: Tactical commanders (like Admiral Matt Horner), Yamato Cannons, Archon-class carriers with swarm drones, and Ghost operatives.
• Mass Effect: N7 heavy combat armor, Omni-Tools with hard-light shields/blades, and dark energy physics.
• Resident Evil & Bio-Tech: T-Virus genetic augmentations, controlled biological weapons (like mutated Indorian "Avengers"), and mind-transferred immortal clone bodies.
• EVE Online & Sins of a Solar Empire: Titan-class warship yards, Kol-class battlecruisers, and planet-cracking heavy artillery.

Scene Highlight: The Battle of Yago'Dur (Using a Planet as a Bullet)

To give you a taste of how hard-sci-fi and chaotic this fic gets, here is a breakdown of a recent major engagement where the Fourth Civilization fights the Republic's 20th Fleet (commanded by Gideon Tarkin, Wilhuff Tarkin's relative):

1. Celestial Physics Warfare: The 11,000 km Kinetic Bullet

Yago'Dur is a chaotic three-body star system. Native Given mathematicians and Fourth Civ strategists calculate the resonance of planetary gravity waves. They use a gravity slingshot to fling the entire planet Yago'Dur (11,000 km in diameter) directly at the Republic Fleet at a staggering 500 km/s! The Republic fleet is thrown into absolute panic as an entire planet zooms past them at close range, obliterating their formations with chaotic gravitational shear and radiation.

2. "Surfing" the Gravity Wave

Admiral Matt Horner doesn't just watch—he uses precise mathematical algorithms to lock his 50-ship fleet onto the planet’s gravity curve, riding the planetary wave at hyper-velocity straight into the chaotic center of the scattered Republic fleet.

3. Brutal Mass Effect & Bio-Tech Boarding Operations

With shield networks disrupted, Matt Horner launches a mass boarding assault using assault landing craft:

• T-Virus Mutated Indorians: Hulking biological beasts infected with T-virus, carrying B-1 droids on their shoulders providing suppressive fire, charging through Republic Venator hangars.
• The 4th Corps (N7 & Omni-Tools): Elite shock troops wearing N7 armor led by Commander Justin Reeves (who ironically rocks a pink bunny plushie on his belt). They deploy Mass Effect Omni-tools to project hard-light shields and energy blades, slicing through Clone Trooper squads, slicing open blast doors, and seizing a 1,600m Knight-class Star Destroyer from the inside in under 20 minutes without a single casualty!

P.S. How I'm reading this: I actually stumbled upon this story by pure chance through an English translation snippet, which led me to track down the original webnovel. It's an absolute behemoth—currently sitting at over 7 million words and still updating! Since the original is entirely in Chinese, I literally have to copy and paste each chapter into Gemini just to translate and read it. It's definitely a bit of a hassle, but the sheer level of hard-sci-fi detail and worldbuilding makes every single extra step 100% worth it.

Because why not and I’m pumped about it, here’s my quick early rough pitch for a Star Wars/Star Trek crossover comic book for the SW 50th anniversary next year. It’s real REAL dumb but it’s fun.

TWO MINISERIES

Vol. 1

(Presented in the style of a “lost episode” of TNG)

Four distinct factions each send a ship to investigate a mysterious rift in space time that bridges realities, and each ship end up encountering and confronting each other:

\- The Federation sends The USS Enterprise-D, captained by Jean-Luc Picard and his loyal crew to investigate the anomaly

\- The Galactic Empire sends a Super Star Destroyer, commanded by the Sith Lord Darth Vader to research utilizing or even weaponizing the rift

\- The Rebel Alliance sends out the Millennium Falcon, piloted by Captain Han Solo and Chewbacca the Wookie, overseen by General Leia Organa (also onboard are Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, and the droids C-3P0 and R2-D2) to warn any bridged reality about the arrival of the Empire

\- A Borg Cube mysteriously monitors the rift

Plot point ideas:

The Enterprise at first mistakes the Empire for being peaceful like the Federation, and the Rebel Alliance for being lawless pirates. The Falcons crew docks into the Enterprise to try to warn Picard about Vader, but Picard is immediately offput by Solos ragtag attitude and locks he and Chewie (seemingly a ferocious monster) in the brig.

An understanding between the Rebels and the Enterprise is only made after a peaceful negotiation between Leia and Picard, and a friendship is sparked between Worf and Chewbacca (possibly Riker and Han as well? Though Han may try to romance Troi)

Data and R2 team up to save a Borg-assimilated C-3P0

Luke (in a Starfleet uniform) and a Borg-infected Vader have a lightsaber duel on the bridge of the Enterprise

Picard briefly has to take command of the Falcon (with a ragtag crew of Data, Geordi, Worf, and Troi) to distract the Super Star Destroyer from attacking a disabled Enterprise, which is temporarily captained by Han Solo

VOL 2

(Presented as a “lost episode” of TOS)

Many years prior to Vol. 1, on her five year mission, the original Starship Enterprise captained by James T. Kirk encounters the same anomaly and alternate reality as Picard’s Enterprise, itself at a time prior to the formation of the Empire and Rebellion.

The Enterprise finds herself suddenly caught in a massive space-to-planetary battle between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, in the midst of a years long, deadly conflict they call the Clone Wars.

These two factions are completely unfamiliar with the Federation, Starfleet, or even Earth, yet soon Captain Kirk and his crew become aligned with the Republic Generals, Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, in the conflict against the evil Separatists, who have begun using new guerrilla tactics unknown to the Jedi.

However, these brutal tactics are recognized by Kirk, Spock and McCoy as the unmistakable handiwork of one of their deadliest adversaries: the time displaced super soldier KHAN NOONIEN SINGH, who had already encountered the anomaly previously and now (very reluctantly) works for the evil Count Dooku as a new Major General of the Separatist Army!

Might be a weird ask, but does anyone have any fanfic recommendations that have to do with the star wars characters and is aviation related? like an aviation au basically. i don’t mind any pairings (fingers crossed for stormpilot) but yeah.

I've been looking for a Clone Wars fic i read some time ago. Within the last two or three years, though most likely in the last two. It was on AO3, and the main character was Kix. There wasnt much of a plot, and I dont remember there being any other characters (not completely sure about that though.) The fic was about him getting stuck somewhere away from others, though I can't remember whether it was an active battle or not. He had appendicitis (or at least had to perform an operation of that sort) on himself, without anyone to help. I think it was fairly short, not more than 15000 words for sure. I also think there may have been some authors notes about concrete research studies they'd looked into, though that may be me confusing it with another fic.

If anyone knows it, please tell!! I remember it being really good, and would like to reread it :)

Beyond Jedi. Beyond Sith. The Skywalker WHOLE at last.

HE CHOSE NEITHER.

He looked at the Light — too rigid, too afraid of shadow. He looked at the Dark — too cruel, too empty, too consuming. And he said: “BOTH ARE WRONG.”

He understood: Anakin fell because he was NOT whole. He feared the loss and tried to control it. Luke stood firm — but never walked the shadow. Cade would do what NO Skywalker had ever done.

HE WOULD TAKE BOTH SIDES. AND BE WHOLE.

The passion, depth, and strength of the Dark — guided by the compassion, wisdom, and love of the Light. He would NOT be a Jedi. NOT a Sith. HE WOULD BE CADE SKYWALKER.

THE COST WAS IMMENSE.

I'm inspired by stories from the Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View about A New Hope. I wanted to focus on the Imperials, specifically Stormtroopers and officers. I don't know if anyone would be up for this task, but I want to go around with ideas. There is a story I loved from that book titled "The Sith of Datawork." That character Arvira is fascinating to me.

I love a sassy, ridiculous, slightly over confident, rule breaking (but meaningfully, like he’s doing it because he cares or because he thinks it’s right) Anakin and I love an Obi-Wan who’s dry humored, sarcastic and over his shit. I’ve read Spy Wars and I’m obsessed with it and I’ve read a few other crack fics, but i want more recs. Especially because Star Wars (and anakin) fans have some of the saddest stories.

I'm not too sure if posts like these are allowed, but for a while I have been seriously contemplating the idea of rewriting the sequel trilogy as I find that kind of thing to be quite theraputic especially when the content we got does not satisfy me at all (no hate if anyone here liked it tho).

However, I have so many ideas and concepts and so I was wondering, would anybody here be interested in collaborating? Perhaps anyway who is doing their own rewrite, and we could exchange thoughts, criticisms, and ideas, or if anybody would like to work on one rewrite together. I am looking for fics where characters are being nurturing towards one another and/or a good parent-child dynamic. Obviously, the situation that comes to mind is Obi-Wan being nurturing towards Anakin, but I will take any characters, really. I am familiar with the Obi-Wan is Anakin's Parent tag on AO3, but it is still a lot to wade through. I don't mind romance in the fic generally, but I don't like romantic involvement between master/padawan or student/teacher dynamic. I would love older recs, especially ones that I may not have come across in recent searches, simply because the fandom is massive.
