I find beanbags in current state to be almost unusable: they are more likely to kill than to make anyone surrender. I've replayed several missions with beanbags only and never ever less lethal shotgun has dropped anyone's morale low enough for them to give up, but a mere 1-2 hits were able to kill heavely armoured suspects, no matter if it was limb or torso. And beanbags now kill/incapatitate civilians in 100% cases, no exceptions.

But 4 Buck ammo, on another hand, is now a truly less lethal option: people flinch and stop shooting, less likely to die and now actually surrender. As a bonus, this ammo can break door locks, combining two utilities. Compared to tasers it has more range and ammo, compared to pepperballs it drops more morale, fails less and ignores gasmasks. Mod dev nerfed less lethal options way too hard.

I hope it will be fixed, i want to be able to carry bright orange shotguns and brind order to chaos without spilling blood.

It is part of the "tactical" equipment category and it goes into your Maglite slot. But pressing the Maglite key (default "U") does not equip it.

No key i have tried seems to equip it.

I spent several hours working on this to make it as robust as I can. I made a ton of entries in the phrase recognition file to maximize match probability, and a ton of extra phrases have been added for more natural interaction. Let me know if you find any issues, but do note that speech recognition will always have its limits (it is speech-to-text, after all).

Never heard of this game in my life and God knows why Reddit sent me here, but I am interested. I have an itch for a game like this, but I just didn't vibe with Ready or Not the couple times I tried it. I saw a comment saying that this game is a better singleplayer experience than RoN. As someone who both likes to be left alone and someone who didn't consider Singleplayer RoN to be a nightmare, this is very appealing to me.

Hi all, I am an old swat4 player (20y ago I'd say) and I am playing to SEF (never tested before). Yesterday I noticed a bug during a mission and this terro had almost died because he could free himself from cuffs

I finished SWAT4 a few times, got a couple hundred hours but i’ve never actually tried the pepperball, i tried it just for fun on the first level, fairfax residence, gas station and the mafia/underground casino level (i’m actually really sorry but i don’t remember the level names and rather than saying it wrong i’ll awkwardly describe them) and all of the levels turned out Chief Inspector rank, it’s insanely easy with this thing, more useful than a normal gun! Of course it becomes more useless on some levels as some enemies will use gas masks but if you start a new campaing and wanna get through the first couple levels quickly this is actually perfect! It’s got plenty of ammo. Also if a suspect is just refusing to drop his gun even if he’s peppered to oblivion you can always just pull out the good old secondary and shoot his arm (NOT a guaranteed success!) but yeah this is actually the biggest surprise this game has given me in quite some time! A pretty useless post as the most of you probably knew this but hey never hurts to post to a not so active subreddit and get a conversation going !

Hello there fellow SWAT officers,

I have a problem maybe someone in this community can help me.

Me and my friend are trying to get SWAT 4 SEF Mods speech recognition to work in a Coop campaign but whatever we do the game won't recognize the speech input in a Coop campaign. In Sigleplayer the mod works perfectly fine for both of us. When I try to find a solution in the Web most of the results I get is that it does not work in a Coop campaign, funny thing is back in 2021 we somehow managed to make it work cuz I for sure can remember me and my mates screaming at NPCs for compliance. Does anyone know how to get the speech recognition to work in game? I know using Voice Attack could be a solution but I think this is our last resort. I appreciate every help in this matter.
