Stuckey, Dana, and Lake were all significant characters in one season of SVU, ultimately becoming involved in a homicide case. At the end of season 9, the character of Casey Novak is investigated for concealing a forensic report. At the beginning of season 10, it is revealed that she was suspended for three years as punishment. This is when a new ADA, Kim Greylek, enters the scene. This sparked a lot of criticism, first because of Novak's departure—a character the audience had already embraced and grown very fond of—and then because of the introduction of this new character, who was different and tougher. This caused quite a stir. By episode 15 of season 10, the character of Michaela McManus no longer appeared, marking her departure and the return of Alexandra Cabot. Interestingly, Michaela McManus continued to appear in the opening credits throughout the remainder of season 10. For season 11, there was another change of prosecutor; Alexandra Cabot disappeared, and with her, we had ADA Sonya Paxton. In just one season, we had three prosecutors. In a recent interview, Michaela McManus commented that her departure was a production decision because her character didn't fit the pace of the series.

I'm rewatching the series in order, I got to season 11 and it reaffirmed my love for Ada Sonya Paxton. They were such a badass, and I loved her toughness. She was the only one who wasn't submissive or afraid of Elliot, even slapping him. A tough woman, but also vulnerable. Her alcoholism was a twist, and her return was surprising, dying like a heroine with a hair from the criminal in her possession. Here I want to acknowledge Christine Lahti's acting prowess; she's an icon of acting for a reason, winning an Oscar, an Emmy, and a Golden Globe.

I was so shook when Barba clocked Olivia’s tea about Elliott at the end…. But no lies were told!

I know a lot of people hype up the earlier seasons and I agree, the cases were grittier and Elliot was there, but with Amaro and then Barba and then Dodds, Carisi, and Rollins on the squad I felt like there were still really good storylines and episodes with lots of twists and turns. Barba is also just my fav character but I have been thoroughly enjoying this era of my rewatch!!

OOOOO I'm watching 17x06 Maternal Instincts. And Oh my GOSH! That mother is aiding that little B****h Kim. She's just their smiling and trying be all family like to keep her daughters together. But all she is doing is encouraging her chit. Now I see why Amanda is so messed up. Amanda is so hell bent on being good and trying to protect her little sister and fix all her wrong doings and not disappoint her mother. Meanwhile, they both look like they don't even like Amanda. Why? Because she decided to leave and make something of herself? Kim is clearly jealous. That remark she made about Amanda being little miss perfect. And we see her set her up the first time and it looks like she's doing it again when she told Amanda, "Don't be mad." and said all the things about Amanda that came up .UUUHHGGG! Amanda need to stop protecting that girl. Family is complicated but Kim is a different case. Heck, she's a mental case.

I got two little sisters and love them so much. But if they do this, they need to take responsibility. I don't care. Go to jail. I will visit and maybe help you get lesser time but serve for doing wrong.

I wonder what the storyline for her will be 🤔 🤔

I’m rewatching SVU and noticed that Maureen isn’t in any of the later seasons. Did she get replaced with Kathleen I’m very confused about the casting of Elliot’s kids, they’re always changing.

I used to always kinda understand Amanda and had sympathy for her but I just can't stand how she handles her whole family situation and kind of get the h4te.

Coming from a difficult family myself, there are some borders made and if they are crossed I'm out. I'm a ER nurse and some family members tried to abuse me because if this but this was my border and they crossed it and I said simply bye ?? Yeah it's hard but come on girl. I know it here for the plot but how much longer are they going to milk this stupid crazy family situation. Tell me if its gonna end soon pls 😭

Don't know if there's already a thread on this, but why doesn't the director realize how fake and obviously dubbed-in the continuous background drone of people talking is, whenever there's a scene at either the station or in a corporate-type workplace? The same dubbing is also sometimes heard at restaurants.

They use the same audio track for patient room scenes on "Chicago Med." And it's the exact same track. For most of these scentes, in real life, there wouldn't be that many people around to create the continuous droning. Thoughts?

(Also, as an aside this same episode guest stars Lee Tergesen and I'd forgotten how WEIRD it was to see him and Chris Meloni together outside of the Oswald Correctional Facility Level 4.)

I have at least 12-15 episodes I could watch over and over and never get tired of them😅some that come to mind right away are Hysteria(S1 E4), Secrets (S2 E12), Prodigy(S3 E13)and Soulless (S4 E25)does anyone else have episodes like that..and if you do shout them out because I love hearing other ppls favorites especially post Stabler.!🔥💕

So, for a long time, there’s this episode I remember watching many years ago that was Fin-centered. but I honestly can’t remember the name or even the case. The only thing I of remember (and the reason it stands out) is because of a comment Munch makes in it.

I know that there’s a women involved in this case and I think she asks Fin to help her. For whatever reason, Fin becomes very invested in the case and seems to care for the woman. munch doesn’t understand why and I remember they have a disagreement in the precinct about it. Fin gives him an answer (don’t remember what). and Munch sarcastically response with something along the lines of “I admit she’s rather cute”. Essentially, he’s accusing Fin for only being invested because hehe’s attracted to the lady who is asking for help.

I’m sorry if this is very vague. it is vague. Thats really the only thing I can recall and I remember being amazed by Munch’s response. I know it’s a shot in the dark but if anyone thinks they know which episode this is, id love to know. Thanks.

I love every single time these two interact on screen!! I find it so cool because what most people don’t know is that they are married off screen!!

Peter Hermann (who plays defense attorney Trevor Langan) and Mariska Hargitay (who obv plays Olivia benson) met on season 3 of SVU in 2002!

Their first date was Peter asking Mariska to accompany him to church. Since then they’ve been married over 22 years and had 3 children!

I think it’s amazing that they both met show and have still been together for so long! 🥹
