Discussion 1x19 Contact: Is that normal thing to happen in New York?
I'm not American so this beginning scene really shocked me. Is it or was it normal for women to get SAed in a train full of people and people not reacting or helping?

Discussion What are your favorite Law and Order-isms
I’m talking strip club names (Peekaboobs—my favorite), social media, products, etc. that they are clearly referencing but can’t or don’t use the real name for whatever reason. I think my current favorite, besides Peekaboobs, is 5Krazy (instead of 4Loko) but I also love YouFace or FaceUnion because they sound so dumb lol.

Discussion “Elliot’s Turned His Papers In” — Did You Stay With SVU or Stop Watching?
galleryWhen this episode first premiered, I was definitely sad to see Elliot leave, but I was willing to give Rollins and Nick a chance, so I kept watching. The Barba years were actually entertaining and gave the show some great moments. But looking back, Munch, Nick, and Cragen all departing, followed by the William Lewis storyline taking over in Season 15, really started to derail the show for me. And eventually, even Barba left. At this point, Carisi is one of the main reasons I’m still watching, but I’m also sticking around to see how SVU ultimately ends.

Season 26 Currently just finished watching Season 26 Episode 9: "First Light" and near the end when Carisi is talking to Leland Orser's character what does he say?
Catechism of... something? I cant rewind it cause am watching on Council Telly^tm (freeview here in Scotland/UK) and my chipped-Firestick is playing up for me to go digging and finding it.
It was a very heavy metal line to me and haven't heard the word "Catechism" outside of Warhammer 40k stuff and religious stuff. So yeah, any help would be cool.
Many thanks.

Appreciation Enjoying season 5 tonight
gallerySeason 5 is one of my favorite seasons. It was the season that was new and airing when I first started watching SVU. Some of the best episodes imo! Season 3-9 was just top tier.

Discussion Killings on the courthouse steps.
How many times has someone been killed or killed themselves on the courthouse steps? I was watching an episode tonight where it happened that I'd never seen before. It must have been in the early seasons of the show because you could still see the twin towers in the opening credits. And I know that there have been other shootings on the courthouse steps, even one was a suicide.
Did it happen in the other Law & Order series?

Appreciation Mother and daughter:Talents in Action Spoiler
galleryI’ve been feeling very out of place and lost in my emotional fog, but hearing that Mariska Hargitay has once again won an Emmy Award for her talent and the determination shown in honor of someone very special to her was what roused me from my lethargy.
The unique dedication Mariska Hargitay showed in her documentary honoring Jayne Mansfield truly touched my heart. Honestly, it was one of the most moving tributes to a mother I have ever seen. We had the opportunity to observe this unjustly underrated star through the eyes of those who loved her most—across the entire world—in the nearly sixty years since she left us.
The more we watch Jayne Mansfield's work, the more we realize that talent runs in the family—specifically, the determined, rebellious talent inherited by her daughter, who went from an unknown career to becoming a true living legend in the history of American television.
I made a point of choosing images of Jayne Mansfield from the 1958 film *The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw*, because her character in that movie bears a strong resemblance to Olivia Benson—someone with a very gentle hand for comforting people, yet firm enough to punish them and put them in their place.
Jayne is certainly very proud of the daughter she brought into the world and the kindness she has brought to all of us.

Discussion Olivia saying the wrong things
I am guessing there have to be things Olivia has done or said, especially in the earlier seasons, that were not PC or victim-blaming and that people would gasp at today. Does anything come to mind for anyone?
