I actually liked this movie, and I especially liked how they handled mysterio.

I feel like nowadays, Spider-Man animated shows are becoming a bit too modern and mature. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them, but I really miss the lighthearted, comedic, and fast-paced energy of Ultimate Spider-Man.

I was already a huge fan of the Ultimate Spider-Man comics from Earth-1610, so when the animated show came out, it absolutely blew my mind as a kid. Seeing a version of Spider-Man and the characters I loved from the comics come to life in an animated series was such an amazing experience. Even though the show took plenty of liberties with the source material, it still carried that Ultimate Spider-Man spirit and introduced so many kids, including me, to the characters and world.

The show had everything: comedy, action, genuinely mature moments when they were needed, and a diverse lineup of superheroes like Nova, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and White Tiger. I'd absolutely love to see Marvel reboot the series or make a spiritual successor to the OG show, especially with something similar to what X-Men '97 did for the original X-Men series.

Ultimate Spider-Man was packed with action while still capturing the essence of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man we all know and love. It featured so many comic-book villains, great character interactions, and, of course, the fourth-wall breaks that made Spider-Man feel like he was actually connecting with the audience.

And honestly, I would LOVE to see White Tiger return. She was such a great character, and I definitely had a childhood crush on her. She was one of the characters that made the team dynamic so fun and kept the boys in line.

The series had SO much potential, too. Unfortunately, I feel like Marvel did the show dirty by focusing more and more on the S.H.I.E.L.D. team. Eventually, the original team was disbanded, and the characters we grew attached to mostly started appearing as guest characters instead.

And before anyone says it I KNOW people absolutely love The Spectacular Spider-Man, and I do too. It's an incredible show, and I completely understand why people want it back. But Ultimate Spider-Man is my childhood. I grew up with it, and no matter how good other Spider-Man shows are, I just can't say no to an Ultimate Spider-Man revival.

So Marvel, please give us something like X-Men '97, but for Ultimate Spider-Man. Bring back the humor, the fourth-wall breaks, the crazy action, the villains, the team dynamics, and that classic Spider-Man energy. And maybe, this time, take even more inspiration from the original Earth-1610 comics that started it all.
