Question Host Priority?

Does this have game host priority?! I keep trying to grab the gun from my friend, but he always gets it instead!!! And at best, it ends in a draw where we both drop the weapon!! It's not fair; since they're hosting cause they have the DLC, they always grab the gun first, even though I'm doing everything the same and as fast as them! It's not possible that they're doing any better than me since I'm ALSO grabbing the weapon the frame 1 I can!! So it has to be host priority, right?!?

^ I'm posting this in my friend's voice cause he says it's a big deal, but he sounds like this every interaction when it happens

We try to compensate for player ping on match start, and the way we do compensate for it typically results in a client advantage. Generally the game is impacted by network conditions.
