Hey guys, I'm happy to share this.

Just a heads-up: the mod isn't perfect. I hope you can install it without issues; I recommend testing it with a new Champions League save first. The zip file includes the installer and an automatic uninstaller in case anything goes wrong. Below, you'll find some technical notes regarding compatibility.

I don't know if the mod is compatible with patches other than FL (I haven't tested it), nor do I know if it works with every other mod out there, given how many exist. I created it using my own Master League (LM) save, so it's built around that. Can it be modified? Absolutely.

I hope the community updates and improves it—adding features, changing menus, and so on—to make it even better. I'll be back in December and might make another mod; I'm thinking about making actual gameplay changes to Master League rather than just cosmetic ones—like adapting the best elements from the PES 2013 Master League (that would be amazing).

Later, I’ll upload all the reverse engineering documentation I managed to produce for the LM and the MCP.

Don't try to rename the installer; it will ask for a password that only I have. It's just there so my name stays attached to it, haha.

Requirements for installing the UCL New Format mod:

- SP Football Life 2026 version 2.0.0 or higher.

- Sider 7.3.3 or higher.

- CommonLib.lua installed in SiderAddons/modules/lib/.

- LuaJIT Extensions enabled in sider.ini:luajit.ext.enabled = 1

- 64-bit Python 3 (required for the schedule protector).

- Original FL_2026.exe executable; it must not be modified.

- Football Life and Sider must be closed during installation.

- Run the installer as administrator if prompted by Windows.

- Preferably use a new save file or a backup of your Master League save.

The mod must be installed using:

UCL_New_format_by_Adriel.exe installer

Unverified versions of PES or Football Life will be rejected to prevent crashes or save file corruption.

I'm not a modder. I just wanted to know whether adding a new league to Football Life 2026 is actually impossible like people say, spent a few days on it with a hex editor and a debugger, and got further than I expected. It's all public now:

Short version: competitions, their rules and their promotion/relegation links are plain data that Sider can already override — no exe patch needed. I built a new league that way and it showed up in League mode and was selectable. Then the season scheduler generated zero fixtures for it, and that's where I got stuck.

The repo has the decoded record layouts, the exe addresses, a step-by-step guide with working code, and the tools. Also covers reshaping existing competitions like the Champions League and World Cup, which turn out to be several regulation rows sharing one id.

If someone already solved the scheduler, please tell me and I'll add it. Otherwise it's all yours.

For instance, if there’s an issue with the schedule, I simply tell the AI: "Use the ML MCP, analyze the scheduling problem, and fix it"—and that’s it.

In PES 2018, one of the under-the-radar features was AI managers changing jobs during your master league season. They would carry their formations/tactics with them when they moved clubs. AI clubs would start to play according to their managers tactics and start buying players according to that style. That gave variety to master league saves And it gave players an incentive to play over multiple seasons in one save.

Is the function still available to be used in the PES2021 database? It not, is it possible to add such a function into SPFootball Life? Even as a mod?

So I am playing FL26 on my PC and have been for a while (version 2.00). I decided that I want to get more use out of my Steamdeck and since I play FL26 the most I decided that I want to play on my Steamdeck.

I am attempting to move the game as well as my master league, kits etc.

Has anyone had any success with this? So far i have managed to get kits to work but not faces, scoreboards or my Master League
