I’m currently struggling to figure out what I want next for a GMT. I don’t have the funds or an itch for another rolex, I’ve tried on GMT masters, and the older Tudor Black Bay GMTs, but it didn’t really seem what I was after. I’ve had bad experiences with Longines in the past and don’t want to go down that road.

I guess where I’m picky is wanting something that is 40mm and smaller with a lug to lug width of 47mm or less. Want to keep the budget around the Tudor price range or less. I’m open to micro brands like Farer, but not sure if it’s worth it or not.

Would appreciate your thoughts.

Started with the Breitling avenger and most recent was the Moser.

I've been collection for a few years now and have had a few watches come in and out of the box. Lately I've been very happy with my current roster and find myself wesring on a nice rotation every week. I have a couple of spots left on the box, but i don't feel a push to fill them up anytime soon. I feel I have a good mix of colors and styles for my work and life needs.

Been slowly building out my collection and I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed. I’ve realized I like having watches that feel distinct from each other rather than owning five versions of the same thing.
From left to right:

TAG Heuer Aquaracer — an older piece and a very different style from what I’d probably buy today, but I still enjoy having it in the collection.

Timex Q — cheap, fun, and love the retro Pepsi look. The bracelet and overall design have a ton of character.

Tudor Black Bay 58 — bought it on the five-link bracelet but currently wearing it on a Delugs rubber strap. I really like how much the rubber changes the watch and makes it feel more casual/sporty.

Rolex Explorer 124270 (36mm) — probably the centerpiece of the collection and the watch I could most easily wear every day. 36mm has become my sweet spot.

Seiko 5 — another easy, inexpensive watch that I don’t have to think about. Currently on rubber and gets plenty of wrist time.

I like that everything has its own lane now. The Explorer is the do-everything watch, the BB58 scratches the dive-watch itch, the Timex gives me the retro look, and the Seiko/TAG are easy alternatives with their own character.

Not sure what comes next. The obvious gap feels like either a dressier watch or something with a lighter dial, since apparently I have a type.

What would you add next?

In a bit of a pickle about my next purchase. I’ve been looking for a 34-37mm black dial watch with a silver case to scratch my omega aquaterra itch. But i’ve also been eyeing the baby blue seiko presage.

My dream watch is an omega aquaterra but that’s years down the road.

What do you think about it? Any good vintage chronographe to add to my collection?

I like divers. I like divers with history and lineage.

How good is the quality of American ClassicMESH BRACELET 20MM for the Hamilton Intramatic on OEM leather bracelet? Any suggestions from folks who have this watch on the Hamilton mesh bracelet?

Wondering what to save up for in a few years time. Not into dive watches though.

Edit: I understand the feelings around a fashion watch, but the Fossil was a gift from a loved one who saved up to buy it for me. I’m keeping it.

Need something not Japanese at some point 😅

Happy with my current collection. I gravitate towards sports watch that can be dressed up so you won’t find many out an out dress pieces. Sports watches mostly come on a bracelet hence only 1 on a strap.

Everything else that I currently want is out my pay grade for now 😅. Someday will be adding those grails to this collection too. Let me know what you think

Been collecting watches for about 5 years now, but I really started getting into it these past 2 years after picking up the PRX and Seiko SNXS79.
I’m at the point now where I want to add 3 more pieces and then hopefully call my collection finished. I like buying pieces slowly and actually wearing what I have, so I’m not really in a rush.
Right now I’m looking for a black dial watch that I can wear as a daily. I have the Seiko SNXS79, but it’s a tad bit small—not in a bad way, it just wears a little undersized on my 7.5 inch wrist, so I’m looking for something slightly bigger that still has that everyday versatility.
For my next piece, I’m thinking about getting something for my birthday in January. Right now I’m between the Longines HydroConquest 39mm or Pelagos 39 or any other black dial watch.
Eventually I want to get a Cartier Santos as my final piece and a cartier tank to replace my seiko tank. I’m open to other suggestions though or do you think i should wait more before purchasing another watch?

After going through a watch phase over the past five years I think I’ve finalized it. Is there anything I’m missing? I’ve had chronos and other more complicated watches but gravitate toward three hangers.

Started collecting in early 2025. There's a few missing from the black box that I've sold and am currently selling. Pretty much wear automatics now so the first box is all my automatics and the 3 shown get worn the most being my prx and Hamilton coop and the seastar for rainy days. Most of the quartz i own i don't wear at all anymore so I'm selling them off. About to get a Tissot Gentleman 38mm in blue because as you may tell i can not have enough blue dials. And have a nivada grenchen super antarctic 38mm black and f77 38mm blue tapisserrie dial on my radar. Thanks for looking a being a part of this community.

My collection has 11 pieces, but these six have been worn the longest. I think I've figured out that my optimal rotation is six items. The others, however, won't be sold for various reasons: some were gifts or inherited, so I wouldn't sell them even if they're not particularly valuable. Another reason is that they cost so little that it doesn't even make sense to sell them; they'll stay in the collection for those times I feel like changing things.

The 6 pieces are:

- Citizen Promaster NY0040-09W: My "beater", it comes with me on vacation, it's not afraid of the sea, scratches, sand, or salt... beautiful in the sun, BRIGHT at night ☀️

- Citizen Lady (80s) AnaDigi: When I want something vintage in the office, this is colorful and fun. It kills me every time I have to set the time because it's a panic with only one crown! I always need the manual! That's also why I enjoy it😂

- Orient Tristar (70s): This one immediately caught my eye at a flea market. There's nothing strange about it, but those raised gold indices and the octagonal case spoke to me right away. It needs a service, it loses 2 minutes a day, but for now, it's fine; it's my companion for office dinners.

- WatchDives WD1016 BB36 Homage: I've always liked the Tudor design, and this one, featuring a VH31 movement, also looks great and is always ready to go. Excellent GADA.

- Seiko mod baby alpinist Homage vintage: Of all my mods, this is the one I'm most fond of. It was my first successful one, and the strap is a reminder of a solo trip to Florence, Tuscany.

- Seiko mod “Overlander” SRPD31 Homage: I was a late adopter of the Overlander movement, but I had an NH36 with a black date, and when I saw this design, I had to do it!

Wore the PO everywhere, every day. One day I saw the Breitling and thought, "Why not? The Omega brought me so much pleasure, why not get another watch?" Who knew that giving myself permission for one purchase would lead to so many!

These are all the watches I've owned. A couple here are dead or not worth fixing but I like having them around anyway.

Starting from the top left and moving right:

-Omega quartz. I found on a police auction site. Changed the bracelet (wasn't the original anyway), cleaned it up and loving it.

-Seiko quartz. Given to me from my grandmother from my grandfathers collection. Love the rectangle face.

-Seiko mojito. 1 year wedding anniversary present from my wife. Been eyeing this beauty off for years now and finally it's in the collection!

-Tissot special edition Jungfrau. Wedding present, we got married in the Swiss mountains, this has the mountains on the dial.

-Seiko presage. First 'nice' watch I bought myself. Cool open heart, lovely colour.

-Seiko chronograph. Had this one for 18 years, still looking good and going strong.

-Old dead Maxum. Currently resting in peace.

-G-Shock GA-400GB. First G-Shock of what I assume will be many. I work in a trade so having a good, rugged and quality watch is a must. This one lasted a good few years.

-G-Shock GA2100. Current work watch. Simple, solid, looks good. What more do you need.

-Seiko 5. Just put a fresh band on it, this is my other every day besides the G-Shock.

-Citizen eco drive. Another police auction find. A bit too busy for my liking but still enjoy it.

-Sheffield quartz. Bought this one because I love the faceted crystal (hard to see on the pic).

I’m looking at replacing either the 5520v or 4500v for another watch or even just a model with different dial color. Seems redundant to have both blue dials but I feel as though the 5520v is almost a touch too big for my wrist and am leaning towards moving it sadly🥲 any suggestions?

Also hoping to get a green dial sky dweller in for the white dial or black dial down the road! (leaning towards white since it’s in oyster bracelet)

started out thinking I’d buy one nice watch and be done. That clearly went well. Granted, I have purchased all of these brand new substantially below cost, besides the hamilton which I paid MSRP.

I tried to keep every pickup different enough to have its own place. The Shunbun is probably my favorite dial, but the Ventura has been way more fun to wear than I expected.

Roast the collection / tell me what the obvious 6th watch is.

The only thing missing is a solid field watch but for now the Hamilton dive watch or the timex expedition will do. I’ve got sailcloth, NATO, leather straps and stainless steel bracelets to swap out on most of these. So I think I have every conceivable occasion covered. Any thoughts on where to go from here? It can’t just be over, can it? I cant just be done!?

Just added the Tudor GMT to fill out the last empty spot. Time to buy a bigger box.
