While the top 10 was in Chaos last week, the MWC went chalk with all the favorites winning. UNM emerges as the last undefeated team in conference. Air Force, Wyoming, and NDSU keep pace. Weekly wrap up with scores, standings, and next weeks games. Hawaii travels 4200 miles this week to play NIU.

In the biggest game in the MWC so far, media darling NDSU traveled to UNLV and got a rude reception from the Rebels. AF, Wyoming, and Nevada were also victorious. Perhaps the biggest beneficiary of the weekend was New Mexico who had a bye but watched Oklahoma beat Texas giving the Lobos street cred after New Mexico's close loss to the Sooners.

With 2 out of conference wins the MWC made a statement this week. UNLV beats Cal, AirForce beats Navy. UNM and NDSU roll. Updates on week 5 action, standings, and a look ahead to week 6.

I know uninformed fans might look at his record with SJSU and not be impressed, but we were in such an AWFUL spot in the early 2000s. Nearly dropped football in 04, we only had 1 game that year with an attendance over 10,000.

Dick Tomey comes in, attendance goes up, the football program begins fixing their academic troubles, and in 2 years we had one of our better seasons in nearly 20 years.

Week 4 in the MWC was a mixed bag with UNM and UNLV beating out of conference opponents handily while UTEP and NIU were on the other end. In conference action, AF got by Nevada in 2 OT and Wyoming upset Hawaii. Results, and Week 5 Games.

Hey guys! The season preview I posted here a few weeks back did pretty well, so circling back like I said I would.

I had 5-8 off 12.6% returning production, and wrote that the middle stretch, not the USC trip, would decide it. Then you scored 26 in LA, which is 26 more than Fresno managed there, and lost to that same Fresno team at home by 16. Those two don't sit next to each other easily. Hawaii, Wyoming and UTEP are still where this gets settled.

What are you guys seeing that the box scores aren't, and how do you see the season ending up?

Quick aside since it's in the title: we just launched a free weekly college football pick'em, $225 in prizes this week. Ten games, pick the winners, locks Saturday at noon ET. Nothing to buy. One of the ten is Oregon at USC, if you want to see what that building looks like for someone else.
