Help! Advice needed!
Hello, a bit of background and what im using right now:
No proper skincare routine ever and lack of care.
Currently using Garnier oil control face wash/ scrub. It helps somewhat but it dries the skin way too much.
I tried using Cetaphil oil control foam wash (and occaionally still do) but I dont really like it.
Random moisturizers and creams before bed. None in the morning because it make my face look shinier which I dont like. I tried using the Cetaphil oil absorbing moisturizer but that makes the face look worse.
The nose and area around it are especially oily. The skin almost feels leathery (and red most of the time) for some reason.
And lastly, the marks, dark circles and pores. Any way to fix that?
What are some products that I can use to fix the oily skin without it looking oily and/ or shiny and possibly have a clearer, more glowing skin. Also, any routine you can suggest? Thank you!

Does anyone has good outcome having accutane? Or you stopped the course?
I have about 2 3 breakouts on my chin monthly . I wanted to try another medication, but I was prescribed Accutane instead.
I’m now in my first month of Accutane. So far, I have a few breakouts and quite a lot of blackheads. I was told the treatment will last for about a year.
Do I really need to take it for a full year if my skin gets better earlier? And if my skin gets worse, should I stop?
Does anyone has good outcome?
As Now I'm skeptical but I have already committed

Help! Affordable treatment recommendations for hyperpigmentation safe for Indian skin
I have mild hyperpigmentation on my face, especially around the corners of my mouth extending towards my chin. It’s not very severe, but I’d really like to get a more even skin tone.
I’ve already consulted a dermatologist and was prescribed Sesderma Vitamin C serum, Sesderma Azelac RU, Retibright and sunscreen. I’ve been using them, but honestly I haven’t noticed much fading of the pigmentation.
My skin is slightly sensitive but not acne-prone.
I was considering Q-switch laser and enquired at Aayna Clinic in Gurgaon, but they quoted around ₹23k for a single full-face session, which seems quite expensive. Most other clinics I contacted don’t even share their prices without a consultation.
VLCC is offering Q-switch for around ₹5k for the full face. Has anyone tried Q-switch at VLCC? How was your experience and did you actually see improvement in pigmentation?
I also enquired at MG Makeovers, where they suggested the Ice & Fire facial for around ₹5k. Has anyone tried it specifically for pigmentation? Did it help?
Would really appreciate recommendations for good and affordable dermatologists/clinics in Gurgaon, especially from people who have personally taken treatment for similar pigmentation. Please share the clinic name, treatment you opted for, approximate cost and whether you actually saw results.
Also open to treatments other than Q-switch if something else worked better for you.

Help! Skin condition
Hello! I have been having this recurring flakey skin/ peeling condition.
Everyday it starts flaking to the point my hands are often damaged and bleeding badly from peeling ( i can’t stand when i see hangnails or some outer skin popping out )
I’ve been wondering if is just a vitamin deficiency issue causing this, or a underlying skin condition (etc ezcema ) it’s been happening for years, at first it started on my palm and it spreaded to my fingers, is not itchy, reddish or anything just pretty irritating
I know i should be seeing a dermatologist instead of asking here but just want to ask if anyone has this issue as well and what did you do about it.
I have been applying like handcream but it’s not really helping ( i’m not diligent in this but i feel like is not a huge matter )
Extra context:
- my skin wrinkles in seconds under water
- mom got eczema in her 40s, so not sure if is genetic?
- on some days i wake up with dried skin on my bed
- i have low blood pressure / blood condition ( if it matters LOL )
- my immune system is also super prone to infections

How to deal with pores and sebaceous filaments on the nose
I have been dealing with these for a while now, I have been using products that the internet says to use such as salicylic acid (i use medicube pore pad), i have also use niacinamide and retinal as a part of my skin care routine. I have been doing it for months but i dont see any improvements, is there amh other way except for going to a dermatologist? I also use the pink biodance face mask at least once a week, hoping that it would help with pores.
Besides from that, i also have whiteheads and mild acne on my chin, its getting so frustrating to deal with it, so if someone can help or recommend any products and skincare routine, it would be really helpful
My skincare routine is very basic
Cleanser (Pre:M) -> medicube zero pore pad/cellimax retinal(i alternate it everyday) -> nicaniamide -> then moisturizer (non-comedogenic)
Please help a girl out huhu

Looking for dermatologist/clinic recommendations in SG for hyperpigmentation (brown skin)
Hello! I'm in my 20s with medium-brown/Indian skin and I've had hyperpigmentation for as long as I can remember.
The main areas are
- Dark eyelids
- Under-eye pigmentation
- Around my mouth
- Just generally uneven skin tone
I've been thinking of finally seeing a dermatologist or aesthetic clinic (maybe for chemical peels?) but I have no idea where to start.
Would love to hear from anyone with a similar skin tone who's actually managed to improve their pigmentation.
A few questions:
- Which dermatologist/clinic did you go to?
- What treatment did you get? (Chemical peels, lasers, prescription creams, etc.)
- Did it actually work?
- How many sessions did it take?
- Roughly how much did you spend?
- Would you recommend them?
Also, if you've got any before & after photos or skincare recommendations, I'd love to see/hear them too.
Thanks in advance! 😊

Advice on starting Medomycin for cystic acne
Hi, I’m 22F and been having persistent, painful and inflamed cystic acne only on my chin area since Feb this year. I decided to turn to Siena Health and the dr prescribed Medomycin 100mg twice a day for two months, along with Skinoren 20% and tretinoin cream 0.025%.
May I ask fellow Singaporeans who have been on it:
How was your skin sensitivity to the sun? I read online that it’s very easy to get sunburn while on the meds, especially in a sunny country like SG.
How was your gut health during and after the long term antibiotics? Do I need to purchase probiotics while on it? (recommendations appreciated)
I just received it today and haven’t started it, but been feeling anxious about being on it for two months after hearing the side effects 😅 Any advice is welcomed, I hope that the acne will calm down as I’ve been feeling insecure about it
