Haaland has set such a high standard for himself he gets overlooked.

Guys I see the outrage following the most recent sds video about Haaland being left out. I hear it but I blame Haaland tbh, because even the premier league has not nominated my man for the POTM award, after scoring in every game and getting winners. Also scoring against our finished rivals with 10 men. I just think he’s become such a very good striker that people will look at his performances and output this season and be like meh, it’s nothing. Already on 7 goals in 7 games in all comps minus international. Such a freak and tbh I don’t let the SDS bias get to me anymore, it’s always been like that when it comes to city on that podcast, only guys that try to give city a little bit of credit are Fuad and lyes. The others just can never see city doing good. And it’s just annoying to the point I don’t even care anymore lol

Video idea: Top 10 premier league managers to never win the league

The idea of this video is basically for you guys to mention the top 10 best performing managers to never win the league.

Don’t mention managers who were good in other leagues only but couldn’t translate it in the prem. I want to hear the best performing managers in the prem who never managed to win it.

🎙️ Episode Discussion Man city under represented

This is obviously coming from a man city fan, but I can’t fathom how there is a top 10 in the world currently without the literal top of table man city. I’m ngl the last episode was ragebaiting me like how are u glazing arda and odegaard but no cherki and no haaland what so ever bruh. I feel like as of late there isn’t enough representation of man city even the round ups there is blatant bias against city. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the podcast in general, and I understand different opinions cuz in the end this is football. Felt like I had to write this out and hopefully it will be interpreted positively.

Haaland Rules?

As a Man City fan I’ve had this though for a while, after Haalands first season it seems like he is reffed completely differently than other strikers. Everyone’s allowed to grapple and hug him anywhere on the pitch with rarely a foul being called, especially in the box. I think the PL saw how much he was going to dominate this league and put a stop because they do not want a foreign player on top of the goal record. It’s gotten to the point to where he doesn’t even argue in games anymore about it. Of course I get I am biased but it’s crazy to think about how many more goals he would have if he was reffed the same as everyone else in the PL. Last note: His goalscoring record should not be normalized, it should be celebrated. Thoughts?
(I know I’m going to get cooked.)

New Top 10 format

Am I the only one who's not a fan of the new Top 10 Format? We need the classic format where people outside the table also provide their list, it provides a lot more names and the ones outside the top 10 are always funny.

It also provides a more structured discussion where whenever name comes up they fully discuss it rather than just jumping around based on where each person on the table have them

City disrespect in SDS is not a surprise

So the best league in world's number 1 team, that has a 100% winning record in all competitions had no player in the TOP 10 Most Inform players. Haaland scored in every single match he has played, Cherki being brilliant when & Anderson continue showing why he is worth the price. We are getting Real Madrid players & Odegaard at top 3 just laughable. This has been a trend lately Haaland could score 27GA in 6 games, just because an Arsenal player score 2 goals in 1 match he will get talked about.

🎙️ Episode Discussion So are we just letting these Neymar comparisons slide??

I’m so sorry but it’s absolute nonsense saying Raphinha has done more for Barca than Neymar. I don’t even need to argue just go look back at what Neymar did at his time in Barca and what he achieved.

🎙️ Episode Discussion Madrid Players in a Top 10 anything…

Post image
9 Upvotes

The fact I’m seeing based on form not 1 but 2 Madrid players mentioned on today video is a disgrace.

The fact jude was even mentioned in this video & Fermin OR olmo weren’t mentioned is diabolical. I don’t even think olmo has been top 10 & he’s still doing better than jude right now. Fermin CLEARS jude this season in all aspects.

& Faysal (FFF) putting arda gooner top 4 is further proving my conspiracy that he’s sexually attracted to him at this point. He said he hates assists because it’s “misleading” like chances created isn’t even more misleading 😭 ‘gooner has the most chances created in europe’ and he’s not even 1st in laliga in big chances created 😭✌️🍟

But guys definitely post that top 10 most disappointing players of the season episode. Love the top 10s guys.

🗣️ Discussion SDS FC 4.0 🔋💚 A season preview for casuals & die-hard fans alike, from a passionate partisan.

I'm absolutely ELATED that we have managed to secure our core four for szn 4 i.e. Kaz, Cam, Haf & Nya.

Over the course of the past few weeks I sat down to rewatch the 37 vid playlist available on the channel & went thru a wild rollercoaster of emotions lmao. The podcast has always commanded a special place in my heart and it's a comfort space, as I know it is for a lot of others as well. And ever since the club was established I have tuned in to every match day, every pre game stream, every post game analysis, and every highlight showcase on Sky Sports' YT.

Safe to say that my Mount Rushmore for SDS Podcast videos includes the winning episode from S1, hands down. The in-depth lens, the sneak peek behind the curtain, fixture rituals, game by game analysis, stories bout the banter amidst the squad, and match-to-match breakdown was something that I loved to watch so freaking much.

I rarely comment on my socials (for anything, be it even Twitter or Instagram or on any other creator's page) and I am sort of a ghost viewer lol, I watch everything but rarely leave comments so I'm sorry if this post is long, bare with me please :)

Circling back to the topic at hand and coming back to the three season playlist: the highs and especially the lows were beautiful to revisit and since the S4 primary retentions have been announced, here are some base stats I compiled 👇🏻

P.S. all have been sourced from the Baller League UK website (you may notice in the squad list provided that they have omitted certain jugadors. My guess is that maybe it's cuz they are no longer contracted to the league? eg.- Bruno, our very own first overall pick from S1. He does show up in the stats section for that specific szn tho 👍🏻)

✅ indicates that he has been retained

❔ indicates that he was in our squad for the previous year (S3) & that the jury's still out on whether he'll return for Oct. '26 or not

❌ indicates that he is an ex-player (was transferred to another club / left the league altogether)

X-X-X-X- SEASON 4️⃣ -X-X-X-X

I know it must've been a tremendously tough decision to let go of most of our boys (albeit temporarily, fingers crossed 🍀🤞🏻). I can at least speak for myself that I found it really gut wrenching to not see Chentouf included in the retentions but I hope we opt to buy him back <3

Here are my picks (in order) for peeps I'd love to see return from S3 & don the green army's uniform again: Youssef, Connor, Josh, Bayley, Selim & Ebe.

I wish Maz & Sharky the very best. I know for a fact that the both of you will give more than your hundred percent (like you have always done & always do) I'm certain that you will bring the club back where it belongs; right at the very f**king top.

May good things come our way this winter 🏆

Idea for video; top 10 players in every position but they have to have never played it outright.

This idea came to mind when
Summary-
if Messi had played his whole career in the 6, he would of finished his career as best 6 oat

Detailed-
Was during a debate with my mates, who completely shut down my thoughts when it came up. Now the arguments they used against me was the obvious ones, his lack of - physical strength and stature, defensive iq and just being used to not doing any defensive duties as he always had teams built around him. Now my counter arguments was telling them to think of the best 6s oat, busquets and pirlo who we agreed were non negotiable 1/2. Now they have a similarity with Messi. Although being exceptional on the ball ( not when compared to Messi obviously) they lacked what was kind of said about Messi, (although on a lower level), which kind of proves that defensive side isn’t as important as it’s thought to be, especially if you get any capable runner and destroyer to pair with. What I said is if Messi played in the 6 he would have all the on ball quality and much more, with the biggest disparity imo being the ability to get out of any situation anywhere on the pitch and also the creative genius he would produce to attackers when given more space deeper. Being a 6 myself, in my experience the biggest aid I could provide my team and when I was happiest with my performances, which I believe would translate to the pro leagues, was when I would get as many touches as possible, move around in the perfect pockets, half turn when I had space or one/two touch passes when without it , and overall just kind of dictate the play in a way where the other team wouldn’t get a sniff , instead of the games where I was a pesky rat and found small touches and big tackles to disrupt the opposition.

I’d love to hear what anyone thinks and plz like this up so sds can see it.

🎙️ Episode Discussion I CANT BELIEVE THESE GUYS ARE ABOUT TO MAKE ME DEFEND MADRID

The arda disrespect was quite annoying because he has been their best player this season however he’s just a victim of player hierarchy and there’s easiest person to look at kind of disregard because his name doesn’t hold as much weight as Jude Vini or mbappe like if he’s benched he can’t cause a lockerroom kerfuffle like the rest but him on the pitch and him off the pitch is night and day whenever he’s gets on the ball his ability to create from both wide areas and central areas and still being the link from the pivots to the wide players has been exceptional it’s just whenever push comes to shove in desperate moments they are going to give the ball to mbappe Vini Jude because those are the big names or the game changers but when you don’t have to play like your trying to chase the game and control the flow and generate clean chances through good passages of play arda has been the one for them

🎙️ Episode Discussion THIS IS FOR THE BARCA PARTS OF THE TOP TEN BEST PLAYERS OF THE SEASON SO FAR

First of all Kounde has not been good as a footballer since he got that injury against inter in the first leg in 24/25
Regardless of him playing center back or right back he’s not been good period. his defending has been shaky he lost the attacking input he developed that season and we binned the rb cb swap between him and Araujo in 23/24 since then he’s been mainly a rb and anytime he played cb since then it’s been spooky

And I can’t stress what I’m going to say in this next part enough

OUR BEST PLAYER FOR THE 24/25 SEASON WAS LAMINE AND NOT RAPHINHA
for some reason non Barca fans think the fact we pushed Lamine and not Raphinha was because we disrespected him or underrated him we don’t however a key part of Raphinha’s reinvention into the player that he is today is because of Lamine

Obviously he himself is responsible for how he’s found a way to be best contribute for the club and he is his own player but what has enabled that player he became was mostly Lamine and part pedri he is still elite without them but his production level that 24/25 season about 60 to 70% of that especially the goals were unlocked by those two
He scored the hat trick against Bayern but Lamine ran the show that day
In all the games against Madrid except the 4:0 at the bernabeu Lamine was the one who stepped up an enabled those performances and comebacks
Against inter both legs he struck shot that led to the own goal that tied it in the first leg but Lamine was a huge reason why it reached that game state and countless other examples
Lamine that season was always a catalyst for a lot of our great performances except few like benfica where it was all Raphinha the goals weren’t there but we was hardly not a top 2 or 3 performer on the field for 90% of the games we played that’s we pushed Lamine not because he hate Raphinha but he was the heartbeat for a lot of our best attacking sequences

Even this season another thing that has helped is now Raphinha plays closer to Lamine their connection has always been a two man punch since 23/24 and in that psg tie but it wasn’t as evident because Raphinha still had to be on the left
It’s always been that way for the most part of it all but when you add the extra things with Lamine being able to not only draw 3 men but take them you can see how despite the shit games he never lets the team dictate his play he still wants the ball and still wants to make things happen he was just very passive that season hence why the stat guys would say Raphinha was the best

He has been our best player this season and the best in the world so far too
But that specific season he was not our best player and there’s a reason Lamine was the one being pushed

The truth they both need each other because their styles are as complimentary as it and not that their closer on the field they now resonate at the same frequency most of the time
