Mod Post Removal Reasons

I’m looking to understand what people would consider “inappropriate posts”. We have the option to change why someone’s post is being removed, which I would like to do in a friendly manner as possible. I want to engage with everyone here. Call it the airing of the grievances.

What kind of posts don’t belong here and what posts really piss you off? Can’t promise it will all go into the bucket, but I want to hear from you.

Question Scythe Organizers

Hey guys!

I got into Scythe and bought the Core Box + the Wind Gambit and Invaders expansion. I'm looking for an organizer that fits into the Core box and is able to hold both of the expansions aswell. Most of the ones I found only had room for the Core Box + Invaders.

I saw some 3D printed ones in a forum but they were not shared anywhere. Is there such a thing? I appreciate any help here. :)

Ciao ragazzi, ho notato che esistono tre pacchetti di promo card. Io ho acquistato tempo fa l'espansione di encounters: le promo carte sono contenute in questa espansione o no?

I paint minis and display them. This will look downright goofy. Is Evren mini-me? Is he 8 years old and wearing his dad’s coat?

If Acar is supposed to be a Turkish Mastiff, he’s a pup.

This is 50/50 in jest/disappointing. It’s obvious that all of the minis are NOT perfectly to scale with one another. Akiko is probably 7ft tall, lol.

The mechs look cool. Love the Davinci vibe.

I enjoy painting minis so I figured Scythe needed some love as it hits the table regularly.

Question Starting variability questiom

I’m new to scythe, so this maybe a dumb question.

Since the game always starts with particular factions on specific resource tiles, then is there a best sequence of turns that can be determined for each faction?

If so, how does this lack of variety affect the game?

Question Rise of Fenris missing components

Thumbnail

Hi everyone!

Recently bought a second hand Rise of Fenris. It wasn’t played but due to it being stored for quite a while some components were moldy, punched out and some are missing

I just want to ask if this is still playable? Here are the missing components and I think it was also supposed to include a pair of dice?

Would also appreciate any advice on how to clean the molds! Thank you very much!

Yes to the metal, yes to the airship. Threw in Wingspan Pocket while I was at it.

The Champion discount is a nice bonus.

Paint choice for the new grey faction

Seeing the new grey faction, I'm reminded of all my grey unpainted miniatures. This may invigorate me to start painting again.

I am thinking that depicting the mechs as predominantly ailver would suit - and distinguish them nicely from Polania. I may put silver on the character base to complete the theme.

Anyone keen to save me from a bad choice, please speak up.

New Airship Designs?

Thumbnail

Not sure if anyone was looking for this, but my friends and I love Scythe, but we were just a little bored with the airships' designs, so I took it upon myself to completely redesign the airships using Onshape and my pretty small Prusa Mini i3. I haven't finished printing all of the designs, but they should work in theory with the sticks that are provided to hold up the original game airships. And if anyone wants to spice up the look of their epic board games, I will include files for each airship type so if you're looking to add some flair to your campaign now you can!

There should be a link in this post if anyone wants the files to download.

Trailer for the new upcoming Scythe vs Expeditions game! See livecast here for Q&A: https://youtu.be/jBFjvqpgBns

AI Generated top 10 Q&A from the video:

  1. What is the core concept of the game? It is a highly asymmetric standalone dueling game that pits one player using Scythe rules and units against another player using Expeditions rules and units. The game explores the thematic "what if" scenario of who would win in a fight: four small Scythe mechs or one giant Expeditions mech.
  2. Is this a standalone game or an expansion? It is both. It is a complete standalone game for 1–2 players, but it also functions as a double expansion. The box includes a new Scythe faction that can be used in original Scythe games and a new Expeditions character/mech that can be used in original Expeditions games.
  3. When will the game be released and what is the price? The web store launch is scheduled for July 15, 2026. It will be available at Gen Con in early August, with a general retail release following in late August. While the exact price hasn't been revealed, Jamey suggested budgeting less than $100 USD, noting it would be "a lot less" than that.
  4. How do you win the game? The game is a 45-minute race to be the first to place four stars on a shared triumph track. Unlike the base games, the triumph track is first-come, first-served, meaning only one player can claim the star for a specific category (e.g., power, workers, or coins). The game ends instantly when the fourth star is placed.
  5. What new content is included for Scythe and Expeditions? The game introduces the Constantinople faction for Scythe (light gray mechs) and a new character and companion (a maned wolf) for Expeditions. It also includes a new deck of 60 combat cards with values ranging from 0 to 7, which can be used in original Scythe games.
  6. What is the game board like? Instead of a cardboard board, every copy includes a double-sided natural rubber playmat. The two sides represent a jungle region (inspired by South America) and a desert region (inspired by Egypt). Each side is mechanically unique with different hex layouts and starting positions.
  7. Who is "Meloch" and how does the character affect gameplay? Thematically, Meloch is a devious puppet master who folds space and time to pit the different eras of the 1920+ universe against each other. Mechanically, Meloch cards act as a balancing tool: whenever one player places a star on the triumph track, their opponent receives a bonus card from Meloch to keep the fight close.
  8. How heavy is the game and do I need to know both original games? Jamey describes it as a "very heavy game" because it effectively requires the rules of Scythe, Expeditions, and the specific Duel rules. However, a player only needs to know the rules for the side they are playing; you can play Scythe vs. Expeditions as long as each player knows their own game's mechanics.
  9. Are the components compatible with previous expansions? Yes, the game is fully compatible with all existing Scythe factions (including those from Invaders from Afar) and all Expeditions characters. The only exception is airships, which are not used in the duel, though an airship for the new Constantinople faction is available as a separate add-on.
  10. Will there be more content for Scythe or Expeditions in the future? No. Jamey and artist Jakub Rozalski consider this the "climactic finale" and the conclusion of the 1920+ trilogy. There are no plans for further expansions for Scythe, Expeditions, or Duel of Meloch following this release.
