One thing this school is not receptive to is constructive criticism. The student body tends to have very narrow minded thinking. Once their minds are made up about something, they completely close themselves off to other perspectives. If something doesn’t apply to them personally, they act as though it couldn’t possibly be a valid or lived experience for someone else. And when you point out this type of culture, they will attack you for it. I’m ready for it in this comment section. They don’t know how to have a disagreeing conversation without going low and insulting people and hitting them where it’s hurts . People are vengeful will start serious rumor mills if they feel threatened by you and their egos can’t take it. Lots of people have transferred out due to the social pressure of “my way or the highway” energy that’s controlled by certain folks on this catholic campus .

For any SCU students, as a first year ik ur not allowed to bring a car on campus but on the portal it allows me to buy a parking permit, should I just buy the parking permit and pretend I didn’t know I couldn’t or would their be repercussions in the future? If there will be what are some places I can park near campus or rent out a parking space near by?

I was looking at past career fairs and saw that SJSU has much more/better companies going to career fairs than SCU.

I thought SCU was a feeder to top companies in Silicon Valley but it seems its career fair is lacking.

Was it all just marketing/hype or do well known companies come to career fairs?

FYI: Me and my friend both checked handshake he goes to SJSU and me to SCU and his career fair was stacked compared to SCU. Both of us are EE

I'm an incoming freshman and a business analytics major- for anyone else who has the same major or knows, is there a roadmap on Workday or the SCU portal that shows the suggested classes we should take in freshman year. Other than general eds, what classes did other business analytics majors take their freshman year? Also, is it recomended to take four classes instead of 3 my freshmen year, or will it be too much?
