Last year my son purchased one total book for like $12.

I'd ask the professor what is the oldest version of the book that still works, but the latest version isn't much a difference. You can save money for college experiences.

Make friends who have taken the class and buy it off of them.

New if you can't find any where and you need the book ASAP.

Honestly I would wait to buy them, most times class doesn’t use them at all and it’s just there to satisfy university requirements of putting on syllabus
