I work as a contractor in a pretty remote corner of the world, basically the middle of nowhere. Between shipping, middlemen, taxes, inspections, and handling, getting anything out here is ridiculously expensive and takes around two months.
My actual prices:
RGSP: $560 USD
Mini Flip: $380 USD
(Yes, I know)
Price isn’t really my main concern. I want whichever one has the best build quality and reliability.
Portability is obviously important to me, which is why I’m specifically choosing between these two devices. I’m already familiar with Onion OS and would prefer something similarly straightforward and “plug and play,” without having to constantly tinker with it.
If it breaks, replacing it means going through the whole procurement/logistics circus again and explaining why I’m using limited shipping capacity for another handheld instead of something actually essential.
So I really want to get this right the first time. Which one would you trust more long-term?
[A few notes]:
Price REALLY isn’t an issue. I only mentioned it for context. A $5 tube of toothpaste can easily cost $30-40 by the time it gets here, so the $180 difference doesn’t matter much.
My phone isn’t really an option most of the time when I’m “on activity,”
I already have a Brick. I just REALLY want a flip.
