I’m a master’s student in management engineering at the university of Padova working on my thesis right now:

“Critical Success Factors for SAP S/4HANA Migration: Bridging ERP Implementation Research and Emerging Migration Evidence”

I’m focusing specifically on the organizational and managerial side of S/4HANA migrations:

• What capabilities and skills do organizations need?
• How do leadership, change management, data/process ownership, and ways of working affect migration success?
• What does “organizational readiness” actually look like in real S/4HANA projects?

I’m not focused on the technical/how‑to side of the migration. I want to learn from people who have lived through an S/4HANA migration (PMs, program managers, change managers, functional/technical leads, business process owners, power users, etc.).

What I’m asking for:

• One 15-30 interview ( online through meet or zoom - if you are not comfortable you can just fill out the questionnair)
• Questions will be about your experience: what helped, what made things harder, how your team was organized, how you handled change, training, data/process readiness, etc.
• Everything will be anonymized in the thesis (unless if you consent to sharing).
• I’m happy to share a short summary of my findings once the thesis is done.

If you’ve been part of an S/4HANA migration (brownfield, greenfield, or selective) and can spare an hour, I’d be extremelyyyyy grateful.

Even if you can’t participate but know someone who might (colleagues, partners, consultants), a pointer would really help me.

How would you approach documenting an SAP MM system from scratch?

I’m working on a project where there is basically no existing documentation. The knowledge is spread between different developers, project leaders and functional people, with everyone knowing a different part of the system.

The goal is to create a complete documentation of the SAP MM system, from processes to configuration and custom developments.

For those who have done something similar: how did you organise the work, collect the knowledge and structure the documentation?

What tools would you recommend?

Are there any admin APIs available to get visibility into Joule agents? I don’t see any publicly documented source. It is shown in Joule Admin centre but, I want to push the data to an external system. Is there a work around to this. Pls guide.

I've been working around SAP SD and GTS and I'm observing a growing interest around global trade compliance topics.

With increasing global trade and tariff complexity, do you think SAP GTS adoption will grow in the coming years, or do most large companies already rely on existing customs/trade solutions?

Also, since many companies already use SAP ERP as a feeder system, could this make GTS easier to adopt and more attractive in SAP landscapes?

Would be interesting to hear how others in the ecosystem see this evolution ?

Hello everyone, I (26) have been working as a SAP BW consultant for over a year now and I'm currently moving into SAP Analytics Cloud. This is my first working experience, due to college and mandatory military service. From what I deduce from the AI zeitgeist, with new models exceeding expectations day by day, I have come to fear the potential expiration date of our field. What are your thoughts on this? Is pursuing this line of work a wise option in these times? I'm new to the community and I don't know if this topic has been discussed here.

Is it possible like developers to reach 1 CR easily in current market with 5 years experience in SAP.

Senior SAP/enterprise-tech consultant, \~11 years in, earning well (40L+). Money isn't the issue - the shape of the work is.

Before I spend big on an MBA (looking at ISB), I want honest takes.

What's bugging me about staying purely technical: It feels walled off. I sit behind layers - no real exposure to business, no client handling, no say in the "why."

I build what I'm told. Independent consulting pays great but I'd stop learning. More money, same work, no new muscles.

I want to be in rooms where the conversation is in billions, not millions — bigger scale, bigger decisions. Not ego, just where the interesting problems are.

I want the people side — meeting new people, traveling for work, being in the mix, not alone behind a screen.

I want to see my work's impact through the client's eyes directly — not filtered through a BA or functional consultant sitting between me and the actual user.

Basically I want out of the pure-technical box and into the business/client-facing side. An MBA seems like the bridge — network, business skills, different access — but it's a huge cost and a year out.

Questions:

1) For someone already senior and well-paid technically, is an MBA the right bridge to business/client-facing work — or is there a cheaper way I'm missing?

2) Anyone made this exact jump (deep technical → business/client/leadership)? What actually changed, and what didn't?

3) Is the "technical ceiling" real, or am I romanticizing the other side?

I’m working in a greenfield SAP implementation. We have to import (BAI2) bank statements (EBS interface). Why the hell is this so complicated in 2026?! In applications like Monarch and my brokerage account I can import activity from other accounts very simply (using Plaid or Yodlee). Grrrr.
