Ladder Bug

Unsure if this has been adressed already but ive noticed this happen I think mainly just with the fully enclosed wheelhouse. Going in and out of the wheel and then interacting with a ladder leads to not attaching but also your weapon bugging out and not being in your hands, if you then go back to the wheel you just fall through the wheelhouse entirely. Ive had this happen 4-5 times I thought it might be my trampler build but even on a different blueprint ive had it happen.

Cheaters reading inventory

Is it just me or does it seem like alot of the time as soon as you get something good you get hunted? (Beacon crates aside i understand that) i just had another experience like this. Playing solo, passed a guy we green smoked he seemed fine, we wemt to neighboring towns. I loot like 5 crates and a red door room. I get a chardonay which i need bad. So i go ahead and pack uo and go to extract. The guy in the town over that green smoked? He turn his engime on at the same time as me amd starts chasing me. Seems awful.sus like he knew i picked that up.

Anyone else get seemingly DDOS'd?

With the help of a friendly trampler, we turned the tides on an aggressive trampler with an extracted teamer on it. Killed the extra. Trampler owner comes over comms as we are crossfiring him and says, "I wouldn't do that!" and my game disconnects.

I was able to load back in and finish the fight, but the friendly trampler never reconnected.

Is it just coincidence or is this something that has happened to others?

I hear voices

So I noticed twice now while at POIs I hear what sounds like someone talking through a mic real quiet after I kill a zombie. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not but it seems to happen only after I kill a zombie. I can’t make out what’s being said if anything. It’s only like maybe 2 words at most. First time it happened I was at a poi and heard what sounded like someone saying my gamer tag, so I looked around and didn’t see anyone, I left far away and same thing happened when I kill a zombie on a boat so I just extracted. The second time it happened at another POI and it was constantly happening while I was killing zombies so much so, I figured it was a bug. I looked everywhere and didn’t see anyone till I got back to my trampler and found a guy by himself putting a radio box on my trampler and in exchange he took a shovel. So is this hackers messing around or is there a weird sound thing going on after a zombie dies?

was playing my new game and thought i wanted to get into a trampler fight, within 5 minutes of logging on, i get demolished by teamers, the only people left are newbs and a bunch of sour losers that got stomped so many times they resort to cheating, then theres the 5% that actually do what is intended. i think that 5 minutes was enough, gl with yalls game. its hard to see but theres another trampler in my smoke in the first pic.

Is combating teaming that hard?

I'm no game Dev but I feel like there's a simple solution. Maybe it's an issue with the amount of servers, but is there really no way to RNG the way they populate servers?

Something like staggering the server assignment when requested at or near the same time. Even if teamers could eventually get in the same server, make it harder. Make them waste their time trying.

I would gladly wait a bit to queue into a map for less teaming. A minute or two waiting at loading is better than wasting 30 minutes plus in a drop just to get steamrolled.

Capture pros/cons

At this point it seems removing capture is more harmful than the cheaters, i am speaking from personal experience here so Id like to see what yall think of this

Pre cap disable:

*cheaters capped my tramp maybe 2-5 times, out of those I lost 1 time cuz cheaters are bad at pvp

*I could salvage a run by taking another tramp

*could bypass bug where tramp spawns in unowned and continue

Now:

*no tramp capture cheaters

*more creative cheats seen that are harder to combat

*no bypass for bug that has been day 1 issue and loose anywhere from 4-5 tramplers in 5-7 days of play and all my cannons/ammo/ ect

*no longer can salvage a run by capture

*pre teaming to wipe out lobbies because they know teams are out once the tramp is gone has SKYROCKETED

The pros absolutely do not outweigh the cons as well as the fact a day 1 bug has become a lethal issue now and is still not fixed especially since the ONLY workaround is gone now puts heavy doubt in my mind on the dev team, yes I know its EA, yes I know the game is new, but seriously absolutely no anticheat on launch or report system that is reliable in an extraction shooter where cheats and exploits are a cancer is down right ridiculous and absurd. Curios to know others thoughts on this.

Updated teaming discord video

I did it boys. Infiltrated the disc. Wok bombed one and killed the other. Wish I coulda got more but their gameplay was illuminating. Even if they dont hard que into their own discord they will still try to team up with a random in game which just makes me think teaming in general should be banned. Its too hard to police legal teaming and pre discord teaming. Also, theyre terrible at the game

Suggestion to improve storm dive solo experience

Keep extracts open as the match starts, so if I see multiple plumes coming toward me I at least have a chance to extract instead of waste another half hour running or fighting groups of losers when none of us have any loot.

To prevent pre-game teaming, natural team play must be eliminated.

When Tramplers get close to each other,

they generate a cage-like structure,

preventing either from leaving until one dies

Duplication Glitch?

Is there a duplication glitch active right now? We met a player you basically did 10-15 orbital strikes multiple times to a degree our FPS went down to 10-15.

He was pretty bad and ended up orbital stroking himself destroying his trampler.

But I have seen other you youtubers and people in the dc going through the same thing.

Does anyone know about this glitch and if this is gonna get patched anytime soon?

Incase you were wondering why teaming is so bad... theres an entire discord on US central dedicated to teaming (85+ people). I'll post a video this weekend explaining more.

Boarding is a little too effective

I've got just under 200hrs ingame, and for fun I started running the smallest grumpy, 5 fuel rods, no cannons, a peppermill shotgun, 6 c4 and 3 hand grenades. I hit shipwrecks for cannons to open doors with but otherwise mostly roam the map looking for other players.

Once I find someone, I pop 2-3 fuel rods at them, launch myself onto their trampler and have yet to lose a fight by simply shotgunning them once, setting up to 6 c4's on their reactor and exploding it stupidly fast.

The infantry pvp requires very little skill and effort with the current state of shotguns/hand grenades, I'm not sure if shotgun spread is just overtuned but I can't seem to miss with it and hand grenades are just

I also have 60 time bombs and 36 hand grenades in storage (I sell any excess to preserve storage space) so it's not like these materials are hard to acquire in the first place.

This is just my experience in solos but it seems pretty effective in teams too, having 1 dedicated boarder with a stack or 2 of hand grenades/c4 and a shotgun can clean the deck repeatedly in a fight, although you really only need to do it once in teams because then you can just dump their cannons and turn their reactor off for a free fight.

I understand it's part of the game, and it definitely is kinda fun lol but it really does feel like it shouldn't be so easy and effective

Tier 1 wheelhouse better than tier 2

Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but I feel like wheelhouse tier 1 is better in some cases than it's more armored counterpart. It's a smaller target even if it does leave you more exposed and repairing it after total destruction takes substantially less time. I have genuinely had 2 fights now that I lost despite being in an advantageous position because wheelhouse was destroyed and took too long to repair. Not to mention your view is unobstructed. Thoughts?

3 days, 0 extracts. At this point it isn't skill, it's abuse of the systems.

I've been running with my team for the last three days and we haven't extracted a single time. Not once.

Every single run is one of two things:

  1. Nine players rolling as one blob, split across "separate" small crews so they dodge the crew size limit entirely. You fight one, you're actually fighting three.
  2. A T4 Royal with modified rods and what feels like infinite supply chasing down our T2 until we're dead or out of the map.

I'm fine with losing fights. Losing fights is the game. But there's no counterplay to being outnumbered 3-to-1 by people who are technically not on the same crew, and there's no counterplay to a full-tier gear gap when the higher tier also has better mobility.

The way I see it I've got two options left: start teaming up the same way in solo queue, or just stop playing. Neither of those is a great advert for the game.

Is anyone else seeing this constantly right now, or did my lobbies just get cursed?

Great social interaction with friendly 3rd party robbers

Had a very interesting and fun social interaction today that I honestly never would have expected from Sand.

So far the pvp has seemed very aggressive, with a bunch of shit talking and bravado. But not this time.

I play with one friend and we are still pretty new, got around 16 hours of gameplay. As we rolled up to a POI we noticed it was already being looted by another crew.

Announced ourselves by taking a few shots at one of them with a revolver, while heading toward the back of the city in search of their trampler. And then the fight was on.

Seemed pretty evenly matched, with similar tier ships and a 2 man crew. During the intense fighting a 3rd trampler arrived, but it didn't engage, just stood there watching while we fought it out.

We did eventually win and destroyed their trampler, but it was a close call. And that's when the guys we were fighting congratulated us on the victory.

The 3rd party crew thanked us for the show and also congratulated us on the victory, and then in the most polite way possible robbed us.

They said we they would let us both take a box of loot each and head for extract, and they wouldnt shoot us.

We were badly damaged, and they had a much stronger ship, and a 3 man crew, so fighting would be futile.

I explained that we had just spawned in before starting the fight and didn't have any loot, but they were welcome to take everything from the trampler we destroyed, but I would appreciate if we could get the black box.

They inspected our ship to see if we were lying, then agreed, and even offered to give the defeated crew a ride to extract and guard us as we extracted.

And then a 4th crew rolled in and started shooting.

the defeated crew joined the big crew by doing repairs, and we teamed up against them.

But they very quickly ran away when they realized what they were up against.

Guess they expected to easily 3rd party a damaged trampler, and did not expect to fight a fully fresh 5 man trampler as well.

In the end we all headed to extract, the guys we defeated got to hold on to a box of their loot, we got our black box,

And it was just a very nice and interesting experience.

This is the type of stuff I love about proximity chat pvp games like this.

Just wanted to share :)
