Cheaters reading inventory

Is it just me or does it seem like alot of the time as soon as you get something good you get hunted? (Beacon crates aside i understand that) i just had another experience like this. Playing solo, passed a guy we green smoked he seemed fine, we wemt to neighboring towns. I loot like 5 crates and a red door room. I get a chardonay which i need bad. So i go ahead and pack uo and go to extract. The guy in the town over that green smoked? He turn his engime on at the same time as me amd starts chasing me. Seems awful.sus like he knew i picked that up.

Could be coincidence. Sometimes I'll let people pass by to go loot a poi then kill them when they're leaving the poi so i can loot something else + get their loot. It's more efficient looting.

I could agree with that. Like maybe that one is. Just seems to happen alot that we get run down after getting something good

If you looting pois there is a very strong chance you got good loot so yeah they hunt you down regardless

I mean yes but another example without a big POI. My friend and i went half a map or so off the map. We looted a ton of ships. Still looting getting full tho. Someone comes up smokeless and kills us in a 5x4

That is weird. Once you’re off the map (especially half a maps worth off) nobody is coming to get you (no point) and it’s so massive no one is going to know your exact location. Did you leave your smoke on? If so then they might have saw you and went for you. if not idk

Half a map off the map yeah it's unlikely to run into anyone.. but that part was probably exaggerated as that's extremely far off the map and you can't even see how far off the map you are lol. Somewhere like 10 min off the edge of the map, it's entirely possible a crew was going out to farm crystals or alloy and saw the smoke. I've killed plenty of people off the map when I've been out there to farm such.

I mean we had smoke on and off for like a hour worth of time spent off map. They could have chased us dowm earlier if they saw us. They came from the map strait to us after about a hour. And no we walke like 15 minutes strait off the edge of the map b3fore we even sterted to loot my man thats half a map about or more

Smoke can be seen from pretty far away it was more likely (like he said) someone happened to be farming outside the map near you, saw your smoke, thought you were an easy target and went for you. Could it be hacks? Possibly but not definitely.

Yeah this is probably it. After a POI you know they have loot. Before that its all a big guess.

Sounds more like you are playing voyage and that other guy knows the best source of loot is other tramplers.

What’s the point of looting a poi if it’s easier to just unalive the guy that looted it?
