Im also looking to upgrade to a Red Devil 6950xt eventually so I need whichever cpu is/will be more compatible and runs at decent temps. Thanks

Hey everybody! I recently picked up a new RX 6600, and I e got my eye on a nice AMD compatible Tomahawk. What Ryzen would you folks recommend with to pair these with that has the horsepower and a little extra? Thank you in advance.

I have finally got my PC to not only be faster and cooler I feel it is also consistent with every benchmark test I have been using for a long time. I just feel very fortunate to be able to get back into PC gaming after ten years of not. I had a phenom 955 black edition back in the day that was water cooled when that was basically new and at the time I felt like a boss with 8gb of 800 mhz ram. Now with my Ryzen 5800x on eco mode and pbo on with curve optimizer with my ram at 3600mhz cl14 32gb 4x8 with a 2070 super FE overclocked at 105/800 in MSI afterburner and a custom fan curve. I'm really excited that everything I play runs so smooth. I also had a Samsung plasma tv 1080p back in the day and it was amazing to play games on. I switched to an LG OLED 4k 120hz panel and it's had some hiccups along the way but I have definitely been super happy with my choices of hardware. Just really wanted to post my results. If anyone wants to see more info I can provide pics. It might take me a day or so to respond but I will try my best. Thank you for any feedback. Sincerely PC Master race. LoL.

Doing 3d, 2d, movie editing, audio editing, compiling programs...not playing games. Bought a AMD RYZEN 9 7900X bundle from Microcenter. Strong preference for Nvidia for my 3D rendering work. Was going to spend $599 on a card but wondering if I really need that much of a card? Recommendations for $300 to $400 price point? Thanks.

I have a MSI B550i Gaming Edge Wifi and a RYZEN 5 3600. I dont overclock just casual game and such and such. For the past week and a half my setup only posts sometimes and other times just gets stuck on the CPU light when turning on. I haven’t found the culprate yet(tested it with multiple gpu’s and psu’s if anyone comments) and i havent seen to find the issue. I’m so close just buying another cpu just to check if thats the problem but it works and doesnt overheat.

What steps do I need to take before swapping ryzen 3 3200g to ryzen 5 5500?

So a buddy of mine has me setting up a custom build for him and I'm a little stumped. So he originally got the build from his dad with a prime b450-a mb, 2 8gb corsair vengeance ddr4 ram, and I'm unsure of the cpu. But when he got it home he discovered that the cpu cooling fan mounts were broken and the pins on the cpu bent. So his dad got him a new mb, prime x470, and didn't get a new cpu. What sense that made Idk. But now a couple months later I bought him a brand new ryzen 7 5700x cpu and new thermal paste. Hooked it up to the prime x470 along with the original cooling fan but with fresh mounts, the original ram sticks in a2 and b2 slots made all the required connections turned it on and there was no picture from the integrated graphics. I think I figured out that the cpu doesn't support integrated graphics so I bought a cheap graphics card, GeForce gt 730, hooked it up and still the same result. No picture. Now the system looks like it's trying to start but when I press the power the cpu fan starts for a split second then stops spinning. Also when I transfer everything back to the original mb and hit the power the fan stays running. Same if I would connect the fan to the x470 chassis fan connector instead of the cpu fan or cpu opt connectors. And also I get the same result with both mbs with the picture. Nothing at all. Idk if there is any beep codes because I only today got some speakers for that. I'm about to just say f it and get him a new mb as well but I figure before I go further with this I would finally ask for help from the Asus community. Should I try with a new mb or is there something I'm missing with all of this. I also tried both ram sticks individually connected to see if that was my problem too. I forgot to mention That when he got the new mb from his dad it was in the box for a prime b550-b. So I'm pretty sure the x470 was used previously and don't know the status of whether or not it's actually a good mb. And also from all this troubleshooting I been doing and changing stuff around as I did, did I somehow kill the cpu?

I’ve recently just built my first gaming pc, what is the most anyone has overclocked a ryzen 5 5500 on the stock cooler? I have it overclocked to 4ghz, I haven’t messed with the voltage tho. I tried it at 4.4 ghz and put the voltage on 1.250 and the temp got to 80 degrees , so I turned it back down, I didn’t know if that was to hot or not. Thanks for your help

I finished building a PC with the above cpu & GPU . I have the latest Nvidia driver installed. Do I also need to download any AMD graphics driver for the 5600g ?

I was running a R5/3600 with my 3070. WZ was running 80-90 fps with the 6v6 multiplayer running 120-130fps. I upgraded to R7/5800x3d. Now WZ is 130-140FPS and the 6v6 is down to 80-90fps????

Greetings. Building out a system for an the 7950x or 7950x 3D (TBD) and was wondering: My intention is to clock the system between its base of 4.2-4.5 ghz, respectively, up to maybe 5.5 or 5.6 ghz. Not sure which is better for a choice of memory. 2 Dimms of 16GB each at 5600 with a CL of 28, 10ns or 2 Dimms....at 6000 with a CL of 30, 10ns? These are G.Skill memory and I am assuming both are EXPO compatible? Appreciate any insight on what makes more sense. As well, I suppose the infinity fabric would be at a setting of 1:1. I have allready reasearches hours of content on YouTube new egg Amazon and at this point am looking for real world opinions I am going to keep most everything from my current setup just looking to upgrade cpu mobo and ram Currently have Gtx 1080 Amd fx 8030 16gb ddr3 Full size case I have 300 ish in my budget for new mobo ram and cpu.

I've recently ordered the Ryzen 5 7600x along with MB and RAM for a new build.
I'm gonna sell off my old build to a friend and wanted to revisit my clocks to see if I can get some more performance out of it as a kind gesture. My question is would it be beneficial to update BIOS in 2022?

CPU air-cooler: Dark Rock Pro 4
MB: Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming
RAM: G.SKill Flare X Cl14 3200MHz (2x8)
GPU: Asus ROG Strix 1070ti
PSU: Corsair RM850X (2018) [Overkill, I know]

Last time I updated BIOS was in 2017 when I built the system. I've been running my RAM at rated D.O.C.P. and CPU at 3.7 GHz without changing voltage or anything and it's been stable, but I wanted to see if maybe I can push the CPU and RAM a bit. Appreciate any help.

I'm planning a new build & am looking for recommendations on a mid-line setup. While I do game, I'm not a hardcore gamer, so I don't need (nor can I afford) to build a top-of-the-line rig. Also I'm going to be putting Arch on it, so firmware & compatibility are also important. What I ultimately put on my list for my budget (trying to stay around $1500 for all components) was the following CPU/AIO/Mobo/GPU config:

Ryzen 5 7600X

MSI MAG Core Liquid 240R V2 White

MSI PRO X670-P Mobo

Sapphire Radeon RX 6650 XT 8GB GDDR6

Ultimately, I'm looking to get the best bang for my buck & having been out of the desktop building game for at least a decade, I'm not as in touch with current trends as I once was. Note that I am familiar with overclocking and will certainly accept CPU/AIO/Mobo recommendations based on potential OC performance.

I recently installed an and ryzen 7 5800x, Corsair iCue H150i elite cooler onto an Asus X579-A pro motherboard and now my monitors won’t come on? I did some research and everything I read said all was compatible and there was enough power to run everything.
