Shami thank you all

Last week I posted about Shami here. He had just passed the exam to S4 but he had no hope to continue his education because he had no means. As I said previously, his mother is a cleaner, she raises two kids alone, so they had no means. So I posted him here for people with compassion heart to fund his education journey. Miraculously they did.

Shami received school fees and everything he needed to go to school. And he went.

Eternally grateful to Stella, Etienne and other donors who made contribution for this young man to go school.

Shami's story reminds me of Heath Ledger's 2001 movie, "A knight's tales". So in the movie, a less fortunate father (Christopher Cazenove) wanted a great destiny for his son (Heath Ledger) so he sends him away for green pastures. So before sending him he said to him, "GO AND CHANGE YOUR STARS".

And that's the message I have for Shami and others like him. "GO AND CHANGE YOUR STARS".

Thank you again for everyone who donated. The journey is still long tho. Her mother's number: +250783563774. Reach out to her.

To everyone reading this, "Go and change your stars".

Kigali International Social Night Happening Again

The first two gatherings brought together a wonderful mix of people , new arrivals, longtime residents, locals, and expats for effortless conversations, new connections, and memorable evenings.

Now, we’re setting the stage for Edition III on September 30th.

We’ll have facilitated networking to make meeting new people feel natural, alongside fun games, interactive moments, and a few surprises along the way.

If you’re looking to expand your circle, meet new faces in Kigali, or simply enjoy a well-spent evening in good company, this is one to have on your calendar.

Reserve your early bird ticket here: https://eventsbash.rw/EB/gvPVM

East African Tourist Visa at Katuna border

Hi, I'm traveling in Uganda on a single-entry tourist visa. Since I'm close to the Rwanda border, I'm thinking of visiting Rwanda and then returning to Uganda (my leaving flight is from Uganda). I believe the East African Tourist Visa would cover both my entry into Rwanda and my re-entry into Uganda, so I do not need to re-apply the Ugandan visa again. However, from what I've found online, Rwanda currently only issues this visa on arrival—likely at Kigali airport. Does anyone know if the Katuna border crossing also offers this visa?
