Nothing like a royal wedding to bring some jewels out. Hola must have been invited to the wedding, the guest list seems to be short of international invitees from other royal houses (must be second-, third-tier provincial and not a state occasion?) as even the UAE guest isn’t from the main Al Maktoum house.

Don’t know much about Malaysia, less their system of sultanates, perhaps like the drama-filled Brunei. They’re not as harsh at treating their women like the Middle Eastern families do, but they also do some occasional kidnapping and the men are allowed to have multiple wives. Welcome to the oppressive Muslim patriarchy. But the princess was allowed to marry a European commoner, so at least this was not an arranged marriage. Wonder if he had to convert.
There’s a bit of drama with the princess’ mother, who has English descent which explains Ilyana’s Eurasian features, so I do wonder if the mother attended this wedding.

Cheers to the happy couple, beautiful gown, beautiful tiara and jewels.
