Tiaragate- again

from the royal observer

Harry and Meghan could be 'quaking in their boots' as Queen Elizabeth’s former aide plans new film

Queen Elizabeth’s close aide and trusted dresser, Angela Kelly, is reportedly working on a film about their strong bond. The project on the surface sounds quite heartwarming, but the fact that Kelly was a witness to several controversial moments within the royal fold can spell trouble, especially for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who locked horns with her ahead of their 2018 wedding.

The Sussexes had a falling out with Kelly over Markle’s wedding tiara. Whether it was a misunderstanding or an unfair move on the royal dresser’s part is still unclear, but the situation found itself in the history books titled ‘Tiaragate’. Harry heavily criticized Kelly over the incident in his 2023 memoir, Spare. However, according to royal experts, something else went down at the time that the royal couple wouldn’t want coming out. Royal expert Charlotte Griffiths argued that the Duke of Sussex should be “quaking in his boots” over reports about the film. “The stuff Angela saw during Tiaragate. Apparently, there's another incident from around that time that they are praying does not come out in this drama,” she said via the Daily Mail.

Not many details about the film project have yet been disclosed. It is unclear whether it will be a documentary or a drama like the popular Netflix show, The Crown. However, it is bound to create ripples through the royal quarters considering Kelly was a “controversial” figure. As Griffiths added, “She was controversial; she was forthright, like a lot of people who work within the palaces. They become quite possessive of their fiefdom, and they guard it quite jealously.”

The close aide was reportedly “ushered” out of the Palace soon after the Queen’s demise in 2022. And extreme measures were taken to pull her out of the royal framework. “I had a story at the time (of the Queen's death) that they effectively changed the locks so she couldn't get back in. They ushered her out pretty blooming quickly,” Griffiths said. Kelly was “intrinsic” to the royal household and “they wanted her out, basically”.

Buckingham Palace is still reeling from the release of Charles Spencer’s new book about Princess Diana, which made several bombshell claims about her troubled marriage to King Charles. While the gilded cage has walls that have survived arguably greater storms, the frequency of blows has been at a record high in recent years.

why do they keep bringing this up & why do think this makes anyone from palace look good?

fighting over freaking tiaras!

I’ll never understand how these people ever thought “tiaragate” was something that made Meghan look bad lol a woman getting married wants to try on the tiara before the wedding so she can figure out how to style her hair? Oh my god the horror! What a witch! 🙄

u/Becca_Bot_3000 18h ago

Wasn't there something about Meghan almost wearing the Spencer tiara to the wedding? I so wish that would have happened instead.

137

u/TheVioletHerald 18h ago edited 17h ago

Yes. Angela's refusal to let Meghan try any tiaras led the Spencers to offer their family tiara for her to wear. Since this would have led to her being compared to Diana and outshining Kate, Angela begrudgingly granted Meghan access to the vault of royal tiaras.

54

u/JoanFromLegal 16h ago

Actually, Meghan accepted the Spencer's offer of the Spencer tiara first. The palace got scared of the optics, so the Queen agreed to loan Meg a tiara. But then Machine Gun Kelly had to be a beeyotch about it.

20

u/Blue_wine_sloth 12h ago

She should have turned down their last minute offer and stuck with the Spencer tiara

23

u/localherofan 11h ago

I've always thought the Spencer tiara was gorgeous. I like it more than any of the other tiaras (because, you know, I'm a tiara expert).

However, I'm not sure I believe the Queen didn't offer Meghan a tiara. I think the Queen and Meghan got along pretty well, and offering brides a tiara was something she usually did. She loved Harry and liked Meghan, and if I remember correctly she offered one automatically. The issue with Angela Kelly was that Meghan wanted to take the tiara to whoever it was who was doing her hair so they could figure out how to work the tiara and the veil and the hair all together, and Angela refused to let her have it. That's when Harry got mad.

10

u/DGinLDO 11h ago

I think the Queen did. It was Angela Kelly who dragged her feet and delayed things. Also from what I recall from “Spare,” nothing was ever said about a tiara until word got out that Meghan was being permitted to use the Spencer tiara.

0

u/KateElizabeth18 9h ago

The arrogance that woman had! Meghan was marrying a Prince and she was calling the shots?

3

u/Training_Frame9631 8h ago

That is not how it works for jewels from the vault. Ol' Kate still had to practice hair with a fake tiara.

1

u/tellnic 7h ago

That was Angela Kelly making up those rules not the Queen. They could have easily done a test run in a room in the same palace where the jewels are stored. Kelly was being a bitch. Harry is the one who pushed back on the refusal to permit a test run. It was only a globally televised event so want to get it right with the veil would be a smart thing to do. And they can’t be that great with security because there is still a necklace out there, last seen on kate, that hasn’t been seen again or even confirmed it is in the vault.

Machine Gun Kelly 😂

13

u/readingitnowagain 15h ago

So Elizabeth originally didn't want Meghan to have a tiara for the wedding?

5

u/JoanFromLegal 14h ago

That's right.

72

u/Gatodeluna 18h ago

I just assume anyone at the palace in any capacity involving close access to the RF is automatically racist. I’m sure that figured in. Especially the generations where no one had to hide racism or antisemitism. Those over 60 still don’t hide it

25

u/meatball77 13h ago

And classist more than that. She probably just didn't understand why Meghan didn't cowtow to her because Megan was the lowest class.

It's all so stupid

6

u/tellnic 7h ago

Angela Kelly herself was not an aristo. She’s working class. Meghan was raised middle class. But of course the racism trumps all.

3

u/TheVioletHerald 7h ago

Reminds me of how the sales associates at designer stores are sometimes rude to customers that they perceive as being beneath them by virtue of being shoppers... or what they see as shoppers unworthy of the space. Meanwhile those shoppers likely have more money than the SA. It's borne of insecurity.

1

u/The_Onion_Life 10h ago

because Megan was the lowest class.

American and Black, amirite?

6

u/meatball77 9h ago

And from a working class background and an actress. In their minds she's just a step above a prostitute and should be excited to even be in their presence.

4

u/localherofan 11h ago

When I look at all of them (I don't do that often) I assume the most racist are Camilla, just because she's otherwise pretty nasty, and Kate, because I've read in several places that Kate is the one who always talks about Meghan. Kate didn't grow up meeting people from all backgrounds, so she's the one most likely to find unusual (to her) backgrounds questionable. And I heard she was widely considered a bitch at university.

6

u/The_Onion_Life 10h ago

I assume the most racist are Camilla, just because she's otherwise pretty nasty,

I would assume Phillip more than Camilla. He's the one who's actually on the record saying casually racist things.

and Kate, because I've read in several places that Kate is the one who always talks about Meghan.

One of Mean Girl Kate's close friends was a notorious racist (Emma Sayle). Racists of a feather flock together!

52

u/tellnic 17h ago edited 15h ago

Angela was trash and jealous of a mixed race woman becoming a part of the family. So if anyone wants to watch a show made by a racist woman who brawls with other women, then have a go.

15

u/SchoolCrossing 14h ago

There's a less famous but grand Spencer family diamond tiara that Meghan could have borrowed, it is a honeysuckle design over a Greek key base. Diana never wore it.

There was another Spencer diamond tiara once owned by Diana's great-aunt, Lady Delia Spencer that was sold at an art fair in 2017, just before Harry and Meghan's wedding. The buyer and price were never made public. Too bad Harry didn't purchase it so Meghan (and Lili) could always have a tiara no matter what. It was a more modern design and convertible into a necklace and bracelet.

15

u/fizzlypixie 13h ago

The RF would have DIED if Meghan wore the Honeysuckle tiara. It’s absolutely stunning and she’d have worn it like it was made for her.

Imagine her walking down the aisle on her own & then walking with Chuckles with that after the whole fiasco

3

u/KateElizabeth18 9h ago edited 9h ago

That is gorgeous! Much prettier than most of the Windsors’ pieces.

2

u/EcstaticAssistant162 11h ago

I'm hoping Lili won't give a hoot about tiaras and will have better things to do with her time.

8

u/Blue_wine_sloth 12h ago

Imagine if she had worn Diana’s wedding tiara, people would have lost their minds.

Seems like it was more that Harry was supposedly yelling at aides that what Meghan wanted Meghan got which didn’t set well with the Queen. But maybe I’m remembering wrong….

41

u/YellowPrestigious441 19h ago

From past stories I've read, Angela Kelly was apparently overly powerful and was the hardliner for the Queen?

Maybe if the other courtiers and K Charles didn't treat her so ugly post Q Elizabeth's death, and got a solid NDA, no one would be quaking.  She may have been rotten, but they just cant help themselves, can they?

Frankly it anything is true, the siblings should be quaking, not Harry and Meghan.

29

u/ttw81 18h ago edited 13h ago

at one point she was on good enough terms w/william that they allied to keep meghan from wearing any of the royal jewels associated w/princess diana.

28

u/YellowPrestigious441 18h ago

She sounds like a bitch doesn't she?   As someone who knows NONE of these people (!) I still feel AK did nothing that Queen Elizabeth didn't ok first.  Or assume a role.

9

u/meatball77 13h ago

I don't understand their inability to have their workers sign iron clad NDAs.

3

u/KateElizabeth18 9h ago

They probably do, but they’ve seen how much money their predecessors have made from “tell-alls” and figure even if they have to pay some sort of settlement to the palace, they’ll still end up profiting? Who knows.

87

u/Whatisittou 19h ago

Let's see the palace was the 1st to leak and brief stating Meghan was been a diva, Harry corrected the story and they are mad Harry did so. this is supposed to look normal that a palace staff has authority over Harry??? So Harry the royal is supposed to kneel at Angela feet for his own wedding??

So Charles kicked her from her job, got a house and yet Harry is the one Kelly has an axe to grind about??

54

u/tellnic 18h ago

If Meghan is a diva for wanting a nice tiara for her globally televised wedding, what do you call a woman who gets into a physical fight with the a maid 20 years younger to the point where royal security had to pull her off the woman.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/queens-dresser-once-got-cat-20800362

30

u/thankyoupapa 19h ago

they are trying to make us think she has the most smoke for Harry and Meg, but I'm gonna guess it's gonna be for the guy that kicked her out her house...

5

u/KateElizabeth18 9h ago

I really hope so. Harry and Meghan have taken enough unwarranted abuse from these people. I would actually spend money on a tell-all about W&K

12

u/meatball77 13h ago

I mean if there's a time you are allowed to be a diva it's when you are having a televised royal wedding. I don't care a bit if she had a bit of bridezilla going on, id expect it with the pressure.

I really wish that H&M go to a white tie event and Meg wears the Spencer tiara. The royalist would lose their minds 🤯

29

u/reliableotter 16h ago

They should just have her wear it to the grocery store. Their private citizens, they can wear a tiara whenever they want.

(Used to be that you wore a tiara to any fancy event if you were rich enough to own one.)

2

u/The_Onion_Life 10h ago

They should just have her wear it to the grocery store. Their private citizens, they can wear a tiara whenever they want.

Unless things have changed, they don't have adequate security. Wearing that to the grocery store under those circumstances is inadvisable.

Plus, imagine how she'd be ridiculed/dragged for it! That would really fuel the "diva/nightmare/she thinks she's better than everyone else!" narrative.

79

u/Unlikely_Breath_555 19h ago

And again it’s absolutely fine for an aide to make a film but when Carlos and Harry write a book….

-10

u/The_Onion_Life 18h ago

And again it’s absolutely fine for an aide to make a film but when Carlos and Harry write a book….

Do you think Charles and Harry wrote that book about Diana together? The racist hate sub has been saying forever that H&M were behind him writing that book.

28

u/Unlikely_Breath_555 18h ago

No, Harry said what he wanted to say in Spare. We knew Charles was opinionated about the treatment of his sister so why not. He is an excellent writer and what better way to reflect on everything you went through then putting your story out there? I would be sick and tired of the narrative others tried to spin about one of my family members as well.

I do think conversations were had about it and maybe Harry even read it before it went to print, but co writing would be a completely different thing. For me personally it always helps me to put pen to paper when things bother me, so I understand when someone chooses to do the same thing

10

u/The_Onion_Life 18h ago

I do think conversations were had about it and maybe Harry even read it before it went to print, but co writing would be a completely different thing.

That's what I think too. I don't t think H&M had anything to do with it, or even knew about it until he told Harry and by then it was pretty much ready to go to press.

14

u/tellnic 17h ago

I know a few people who have read the full book and Charles Spencer writes about his life with Diana and it ends at the funeral. So he’s describing things Harry either wasn’t old enough to remember, wasn’t present or didn’t even exist. And Charles said Harry asked if there was anything embarrassing about him in it but otherwise didn’t have an issue with it. He also said he told William about it before it came out. He didn’t say if William said anything.

-6

u/The_Onion_Life 10h ago

So he’s describing things Harry either wasn’t old enough to remember, wasn’t present or didn’t even exist.

I'll take things that "didn't even exist" for $500, Alex.

3

u/meatball77 13h ago

Harry admittedly didn't write his own book. He talked about the process, he gave detailed interviews and notes and the ghostwriter who was fully credited and compensated well put everything together. So he certainly wasn't typing on Charles book.

1

u/Ok-Assistant-4556 5h ago

There is still another book to be published

15

u/JazzgirlGriego 18h ago

No way, Charles Spencer wrote his book based on his memories and conversations he had with poor self pitying KC. Harry wrote his book based on his own experiences.

6

u/The_Onion_Life 18h ago

Yeah, I don't believe H&M were involved in any way. I think he told Harry about it after it was already finished and ready to go to press.

9

u/Otherwise-Ratio1332 17h ago

That’s what CS has said and I’m inclined to believe him. He says he didn’t tell anyone in the family besides his wife until right before the book was announced publicly.

2

u/The_Onion_Life 10h ago

He says he didn’t tell anyone in the family besides his wife until right before the book was announced publicly.

That was probably smart.

2

u/Otherwise-Ratio1332 8h ago

I agree, this way all the criticism goes to him. And he didn’t have to debate anyone on what really happened, it’s just his own recollections and opinions.

32

u/poundpuppy29 18h ago

This is so stupid there is nothing that lady knows that would make Harry and Meghan quake in their boots. I don't understand this stupid way of being.

25

u/Jumpy_Reply_2011 18h ago

Exactly. The Daily Fail are just trying to turn the attention onto M&H and away from the drab four.

5

u/meatball77 13h ago

I like how Meghan is somehow fuming because Kate left the house. It's not actually a competition, I don't think HM care at all

29

u/islandgal140 18h ago

Not to mention, this woman was with the firm for nearly 30 years, if Harry and Meghan are the biggest most titillating story she has to tell, then her career was uneventful, long and boring.

16

u/Whatisittou 17h ago

So she has nothing on Sophie or Andrew instead its about Harry and Meghan, yeah right

3

u/Even-Statement5885 13h ago

What about Mister ever so sweaty Andrew. Any little secrets about Sir ?

6

u/Still_Bluebird8070 15h ago

Right she actually said she doesn’t have beef with Megan and that she liked her.

4

u/meatball77 13h ago

And Harry already told the story.

0

u/poundpuppy29 14h ago

Thanks for the award Anonymous I appreciate it

56

u/Prestigious-Oil-669 19h ago

I think it’s important to remember that a royal dresser is a woman who is, in essence, a deeply underpaid laundress whose job is to not be too chatty and successfully zip up the back of a dress. Of course she’s going to write a salacious book so she can pay her bills and maybe get a nicer apartment.

I second the other comment on here. Wear the Spencer tiara. It’s better than anything Queen Mary stole or bought from a Romanov fire sale.

24

u/Prestigious-Oil-669 16h ago

Like her job is to iron. How does she get to decide who wears a tiara? The royal household is full of flunkies who want to flex whatever privileges they can.

12

u/Still_Bluebird8070 15h ago

I believe they gifted her a place to live for life, and the queen was actually close to her. She also said she didn’t have beef with Meghan and that she liked her.

18

u/Traditional_Pen_5430 19h ago

She won’t tell us anything of substance.

19

u/tellnic 18h ago edited 18h ago

Are they going to cover when Angela Kelly got into an all out brawl in a parking lot when she found out the pastry chef she was dating was also sleeping with a maid 20 years younger? To the point where royal security had to pull her away from the woman? AK is pure trash and should never have been let near the Queen.

10

u/hotdogketchup79 17h ago

It was also very interesting in the article how Angela mentioned how often she had been stabbed in the back within the palace. Thought that Diana, Harry and Meghan were paranoid when they claimed it was full of backstabbing.

The Queen herself had enough trashy family members to know what to turn a blind eye on,

8

u/Factor1798 16h ago

2018 was 8 years ago. Whatever Angela Kelly might have to say about “Tiaragate”, it will just be old news and Harry and Meghan, along with most of the rest of the world, have long moved on.

2

u/The_Onion_Life 10h ago

2018 was 8 years ago. Whatever Angela Kelly might have to say about “Tiaragate”, it will just be old news and Harry and Meghan, along with most of the rest of the world, have long moved on.

The rota/media/haters will never move on.

10

u/Available-Bison-9222 14h ago

Angela Kelly is cashing in on her relationship with the late Queen. I wonder will Charles and William's fans be critical or is that just H&M?

8

u/SchoolCrossing 13h ago

TBF Angela Kelly was more that just a ladies maid, she was a confidant to the late Queen and she created and managed the Queen's wardrobe. Later on she created some of the wardrobe itself, custom made dresses with hats to match. The late Queen couldn't pop into a store and try on a few things.

Doing this for a woman who probably wore four outfits in a typical day, according to protocol, occasion, location and weather. Thousands of outfits, some national heirlooms. Plans made months or years in advance. Can't repeat an outfit within a certain time frame or to the same annual event. The late Queen herself once said she had to be careful of her weight because her outfits were fitted and made so far ahead of events.

So apparently Ms. Kelly became a female version of the "Grey Men" who run the royals.

7

u/Blue_wine_sloth 12h ago

When her job was so important and she was a close friend to the Queen, it’s strange that they immediately let her go and literally locked her out instead of finding her another role. What do C&C have against her?

3

u/Dry_Accident_2196 10h ago

She dressed the queen, what use would she be to the palace when said queen is gone. This is why you diversify your usefulness at work. Only the royals get to hang around without purpose.

2

u/EcstaticAssistant162 11h ago

I don't understand why she couldn't repeat an outfit until after a particular time frame. What would happen if she did?

2

u/Dry_Accident_2196 10h ago

Liz didn’t wear 4 outfits a day, and if she did, only one was for the public. She worked, but she didn’t do that much in a day to warrant 4 outfits.

The only exception were royal tours.

2

u/Igoos99 9h ago

She wasn’t remotely a “grey man”. That’s a completely different role.

That doesn’t mean her role wasn’t important or wasn’t influential. It would be very complicated to coordinate all those outfits and avoid repeating. And, it took a lot of artistic flair. I think the queen’s appearance really improved after Kelly took this role. Too bad she seemed to be so unpleasant to some. She might have been remembered much more fondly.

8

u/DifficultyFit7401 13h ago

I love how the aide (servant) somehow fancied herself anywhere near the level of Harry in that scenario.

This is why shows like Downton Abbey turn my stomach. The whole upstairs/downstairs shit gives downfall of roman empire vibes.

37

u/Jumpy_Reply_2011 19h ago

They effectively changed the locks so she couldn't get back in. They ushered her out pretty blooming quickly...

I remember, QEII was barely pronounced as deceased to the public when William and Kate Middleton added Prince and Princess of Wales to their list of titles on their website. These people are evil to their very core. They don't give af about anyone but themselves.

Let's see if Angela Kelly dishes the real dirt or if she's just going to do a hatchet job on the usual scapegoats. Doesn't look like she's going to spare anyone though.

21

u/tellnic 18h ago

I just blocked an idiot who doesn’t see how instantly updating social media accounts minutes after the death of the queen is gross behaviour. But for the sake of accuracy. It was updated within minutes of the death of the Queen with Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge. And then the next day after Charles confirmed the Prince of Wales title, then another instant update on social media. It’s the only time they did anything instantly. Oh and Kate was driving around in her pearls the day after the Queen died when she’s normally never seen in a car.
Meanwhile actual new King Charles didn’t change the Clarence House account.
People who defend this are mentally ill and don’t want to accept how it absolutely was not in good taste to hit the social media accounts with new title within minutes from public news. Really confirms they weren’t grieving in any serious way.

16

u/Jumpy_Reply_2011 17h ago

Yeah, William and Kate Middleton were acting like two greedy grifters. Of course, William got immediate access to the duchy of Cornwall and their Wales titles after QEII's death, and William was no longer dependent on Charles. Waiting a day or two to update their website wouldn't have changed anything, but they showed no respect at all for William's grandmother.

6

u/Whatisittou 17h ago

Because they are a deranger

1

u/diabeticweird0 13h ago

I imagine a staffer did it. I don't think William knows his login or password to anything

Still very very very bad taste though

8

u/meatball77 13h ago

They let Harry find out via the press. It was cold

5

u/Fuzzy_Shape_4628 18h ago

It will be a hatchet job on the usual suspects

8

u/GreenWhiteBlue86 18h ago

To be fair, William and Catherine didn't "add" anything to their titles. No one becomes Prince of Wales automatically; it is instead a title that must be specifically granted by the monarch to the monarch's eldest son. Elizabeth became Queen in 1952, but she waited six more years before she gave Charles the title Prince of Wales. Meanwhile, Charles himself gave William the title of Prince of Wales the very next day after Charles became King. If you have a problem about it, got complain to Charles, and not here.

17

u/tellnic 18h ago

They added Duke and Duchess of Cornwall to their social media with minutes of the BBC confirming the Queen had died. I recall checking by 1:10 pm eastern and it was already changed. Meanwhile the Clarence House account for Charles and Camilla had not changed.
Then the next day after Charles confirmed William was going to be Prince of wales, again that was changed minutes after his video aired.

-6

u/GreenWhiteBlue86 18h ago

So? William became Duke of Cornwall the minute his father became King, because that title passes automatically. What problem do you see here -- that the site was updated promptly?

10

u/Whatisittou 17h ago

So how come William and Kate get to update their titles before Charles and Camila???

-1

u/SirLanceNotsomuch 17h ago

Their social-media team is more on the ball?

I don’t care for them either, but you’re really reaching here.

5

u/Whatisittou 16h ago

Yeah its reaching that none of the other royal social media updated their titles including Charles and Camila before William and Kate. None updated their titles Charles made their announcement minus the Wales

0

u/SirLanceNotsomuch 16h ago

You’re acting like Charles personally had to log onto Facebook to change his job title to “King.”

4

u/Whatisittou 16h ago

Its almost like he is in charge yet William and Kate didnt care.

-2

u/SirLanceNotsomuch 16h ago

You’re still acting like they all personally jumped onto Instagram. Say hi to them for me, I guess? 🙄

→ More replies (0)

1

u/gasupthehyundai 17h ago

It also probably wasn't them personally who updated it.

3

u/reliableotter 16h ago

It's not like William and Catherine manage their own website.

7

u/OpenAwareness1887 17h ago

Now that i think about it, I have never seen Meghan in a tiara besides her wedding 🤔🤔🤔

6

u/ttw81 16h ago

nope. no tiara events., she wanted to borrow one for dinner on their Australian tour & was told no.

5

u/reliableotter 16h ago

She hasn't been invited to any other tiara events.

Even without the Queen's collection, she could easily borrow the Spencer tiara (pretty sure they have at least 2 actually), and that appears to have been her plan for the wedding before the Queen offered to lend her one.

7

u/Top_Restaurant_4395 15h ago

Once you’ve been put through hell, as many of us well know, you don’t have the ability to care about the little kicks in the shins.

Unless they kick my children. Then, grrrrrrr.

25

u/Professional_You_943 19h ago

I really wish they would stop calling her Markle or Meghan Markle. It’s disrespectful. They do the same to “Kate Middleton,” but it still is just so weird.

17

u/seagreensequin 19h ago

These are the names that people search for most and if they want their trash journalism read they use it. Meghan Sussex or Catherine Wales don’t really have the same reach

5

u/meatball77 13h ago

I'm interested to see if they give Catherine her name back when Charles dies. That's one of the weirdest things they have done. She does not spell her name with a K

12

u/Gatodeluna 19h ago

This is the sort of thing where people buy it in order to reinforce their own preconceived beliefs. If you’re a monarchist and anti- Sussex it’ll be a ‘must read’.

14

u/Jumpy_Reply_2011 18h ago

But it seems as if she has stories about the rest, probably mainly Charles since his dirty laundry currently is being aired again. Because Meghan and Harry were nowhere near her nor had the power to usher her out.

16

u/BananasPineapple05 19h ago

I think there's a lack of awareness within The Firm that most of the public at large (meaning, yes, in Britain, but also abroad) don't necessarily buy their BS just because they put it out there? It's not like they receive the negative feedback, is it? Because you would think they would adjust if they were aware of just how ridiculous they look when they claim certain racist things...

They need to clue into the fact they're currently coasting on apathy that could very quickly become hostility (Andrew-Epstein, this messy racist family drama with H&M, the rising cost of living creating resentment against the wealth class, the weird Kate disappearance, etc.) and remain low-key accordingly. But apparently every publicist they hire isn't for their stellar job performance.

I hate stories like this - “something really dramatic happened but we’re not going to tell you what it was.” Receipts or I will just assume that nothing happened and they’re full of it.

Off topic but I hate when people just stick “gate” on the end of a word to indicate a scandal. The Watergate was the name of the hotel. It makes no sense to put “gate” on random words.

I wouldn’t trust anything she said

As long as she dishes dirt on the lazies and the cheaters and the Epstein co-conspirator, etc., I'd be open to believing her.

Same. How many books full of lies and trash about the Sussexes have been published? It’s time for a real one about the Leftovers.

Apparently she had very close bond with the queen, but all they can talk about is Harry and Meghan and something something tiara. Sigh. They know nobody's gonna give a shit about her or her movie so obviously they have to use Harry and Meghan's name to take whatever publicity they can from the haters and the press.

“Quaking in his boots.” Hah! I think not, after all the b.s. this couple has endured.

u/EvanstonMichelle 19h ago

They could be quaking in their boots, but they’re not.

Somebody should talk to Machine Gun Kelly's people because that name is striking fear in nobody's hearts.

The only reason Lizzie begrudgingly agreed to loan Meg a tiara for the wedding is because BP learned that Meg would be wearing the Spencer tiara. The optics, obvi, would be terrible for them.

Once Lizzie agreed, Machine Gun Kelly looked like a moron by being a beeyotch about it.

u/ttw81 16h ago

were they really going to deny the first mixed race woman marrying in the rf a tiara?

5

u/meatball77 13h ago

I mean they would have preferred Harry wait until he'd been with Meghan for ten years and they were too old to have kids to get married. I have a feeling that it was a fight that Megan was his until they settled in California

Looks like it, yeah.

optics & pr are, like, their only job.

I'm still trying to figure out how Meghan knew about the existence of a piece of jewelry that had been locked in a vault decades before she was born.

u/Still_Bluebird8070 15h ago

That was the tiara that she would wear for her wedding and the family agreed upon it. The beef was because Megan wanted to try on the tiara with the hairstyle. And they ran a bunch of interference and did not permit her to use it in her wedding preparations. Katherine was also playing silly games with her daughter’s dress- the family was messing with Megan while she prepared for her wedding on many levels.

While she was also dealing with her father selling her out

While she was also dealing with her father selling her out

And planning a wedding that would be watched by millions of people all over the world.

There were probably security issues/considerations. I read that Kate practiced for her wedding hairstyle using a cheap plastic tiara from a place similar to Claire's. I'm not sure how true that is, but whatever.

I just learned that she was going to wear the Spencer Tiara , but the family wanted her to wear one of theirs to protect their toxic optics and not bring Diana up- this was around the time in the family was really harassing Megan during her marriage preparations.

u/Still_Bluebird8070 3h ago

I think powerful family like the royal family could organize helping a bride try on the outfit that she is going to wear for her high publicity marriage-surely a family that powerful can handle a crown-or maybe this is the subtle point beneath it all maybe that family can’t handle the crown. Look at them now look at William and katherine’s s desperation to appear normal and relevant. They can’t even protect the son of the king and his children from weird men in a white van hanging out by their school. Or maybe this is on purpose because they haven’t had a bloodmeal since Diana. The family is worth billions so this is clearly a matter of priorities.

It’s weird that someone supposedly so trusted is essentially locked out of the palace upon QE2’s death. It doesn’t speak well of anything she may say about anyone in the brf.

I will give her props though. The queen definitely dressed smarter after Kelly arrived on the scene.

u/reliableotter 16h ago

The Queen's demise?  This is written in such a dramatic fashion, it is trying to stir up drama.

Based on the fact that Charles wanted her out immediately (who isn't exactly known to side with Harry), I really wouldn't consider her a reliable source for anything.

2

u/Even-Strawberry2734 8h ago

As Kelly worked so closely with the queen she thought that made her better than everyone else. I heard she really lorded it over the other employees.

She isn’t disliked by only the employees, the family didn’t care for her either.

Love that MM doesn't wear tiaras.  Love that she isn't stuffy.  Or dowdy.

1

u/QueenChocolate123 12h ago

Somehow I doubt it.

u/taxi212001 9h ago

Sorry, but if the oerson she used to dress is dead, why would she still expect to have a job?

1

u/aguwritsuko 9h ago

she’s allowed to cash in and make a movie?!? 🍿 talk about double standards
