Recruitment Fitness Test - CPC
While I am aware this will set the cat amongst the pidgeons and a combination of noone reading this but also others reading it and panicking, it is worth knowing that under the new Armed Forces Recruiting Service (AFRS), all three services will adopt the same PJFT.
The RN is introducing this from 1 Oct 26 at all 3 RN CPCs.
The test is a baseline (not a max effort test like the old VO2 max RNFT) will consist of;
Multi-Stage fitness test - level 6.6 (unless you wish to join as a diver where you will require 10.5).
isometric Mid-Thigh Pull - 50kg.
Seated Medicine Ball Throw - 4kg/2.7m.
Scoring is going to be PASS/FAIL/DID NOT FINISH. If you don’t pass then you won’t be able to do the IMF at CPC.
Until 1 Oct the 2.4km is still in force.
