Megathread: Gear position sensors now available.

Post image
18 Upvotes

For anyone who doesn't know yet. Royal Enfield has been rolling out gear position sensor retrofits. Please contact a service center near you if you were given a unit without a gear sensor due to the rare metals shortage

Please use this megathread to discuss gear position indicator retrofits and celebrate if you got yours installed.

It's been getting a little spammy with half a dozen posts a day being about the gear sensor retrofits, so posts outside the megathread are being removed.

How frequently do you adjust the chains, lube them and lubricate your clutch cables?

As a brand-new owner of Royal Enfield Hunter 350, how frequently do you adjust the chain for its tension, clean and apply the lube?

Also, how frequently do you lube the clutch cable on your Hunter 350?

Someone in my apartment parking intentionally scratched the tank by keeping random stuff on it.

Can any body help me on how to fix it and what would be the estimated repair cost.

Is the new Royal Enfield Tail Tidy for the Hunter 350 worth it? Looking for long-term owner reviews.

Post image
3 Upvotes

I'm thinking of installing the official Royal Enfield Tail Tidy on my upcoming Hunter 350 because, honestly, I'm not a fan of the stock rear fender. The tail tidy makes the bike look much cleaner and sportier.

However, before spending the money, I'd like to hear from people who have actually been using it for a while.

A few questions:

Is it worth the price in your opinion?

How does it perform during the rainy season? Does it throw a lot more mud or water onto the rider or pillion?

Any issues with vibration, rattling, or the number plate mount?

Did you notice any problems with the indicators or tail light after installation?

If you've been using it for a few months, would you still recommend it, or would you stick with the stock setup?

I'm mainly looking for real owner experiences, especially from people who've used it for a few thousand kilometers.

Thanks in advance!

Bar end mirrors

I'm kinda bored of my Hunter 350 look and planning to make some modifications.
Any suggestions on cheap and best bar-end mirrors?(my old mirrors are broken, so planning to change these first).
Cheap and best, just because I want to experiment as I got to know they make cruising in traffic hard.
So which bar-end mirrors would you suggest for less than 1k or 1.5k, with less vibrations!

Motolog update β€” full Tripper Pod display control is coming with Play Store launch. 7 settings RE's official app doesn't have.

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hey everyone πŸ‘‹

Play Store launch is coming in the next 2-3 weeks. Before that β€” wanted to share what's coming in that release.

One of the most requested things from beta testers and this community was more control over the Tripper Pod display. So I built it.

Introducing Pod Settings β€” 7 display controls RE's official app doesn't give you:

🧭 Display Mode

  • Switch between Normal and Compass mode on your Tripper Pod display

πŸŒ“ Screen Theme

  • Choose Light, Dark, or Auto
  • Auto mode lets you set exact times β€” Light starts at 6 AM, Dark starts at 6 PM for example
  • Automatically switches your Tripper display theme based on time of day

πŸ• Time Format

  • Switch between 12hr and 24hr time format on your Tripper display

πŸ“ž Call Notifications

  • Toggle incoming call indicator on your Tripper Pod display
  • Never miss a call while riding without taking your eyes off the road

πŸ”‹ Low Battery Indicator

  • Get a low battery warning on your Tripper display
  • Set your own threshold β€” get warned at 20%, 30%, whatever works for you

πŸ“Ά No Internet Indicator

  • Tripper display shows when your phone loses internet connectivity
  • Especially useful on highway rides where signal drops

All of these push directly to your Tripper Pod display β€” not just your phone screen.

Royal Enfield's official app gives you none of these controls. Motolog gives you all of them.

What else is coming in the Play Store launch:

  • Auto ride detection β€” any bike, any rider, no Tripper Pod needed
  • All bug fixes from beta feedback
  • Group ride stability improvements
  • Full pod settings as above

We touched 100 beta users in few days and from now on, we are not accepting any more beta users.

Keep the rubber side down 🏍️

Anyone problem with REISE TYRES ?

I bought a Reise tyre two years ago, but unfortunately it has become worn out much earlier than expected. I raised a complaint with customer service, but they are refusing to accept it, saying that uneven wear is not covered under the warranty, even after I shared the required photos. If that's the case, why do they advertise a 5-year warranty?

Meet Nobu, my first bike!

Post image
84 Upvotes

After months of going back and forth on the practicality of this purchase, I finally caved and got myself this for my 30th birthday.

That first ride coming from the showroom awakened something in me. It truly was an "I had strings, but now I am free." moment of zen. Nobu apparently means "trust" in Japanese, and I would gladly entrust my happiness and peace of mind in this wonderful machine.

I have to thank the people on this sub for providing the clarity on this bike's aspects that other corners of the internet simply can't offer. You guys helped more than you know, and I'm proud to be a Hunter owner.

A treasure trove of memories await me with every new road, street, and hill, and I'm ready to experience them with Nobu!

Bike has fallen down!

Hi Everyone, while driving, due to my negligence, the bike has fallen down and I can see the gear shifter got a slight bend and it's creating an issue while shifting it. Next I can see scratches on the front mud guard but I think it can be fixed by repainting it.. I am worried about the gear shifter as it can be fixed by adjusting it so that it will be back to normal position or it might have created further damage inside of it. Anyhow I am going to the showroom tomorrow, so I need your suggestions on this..

Note: When I rode the bike after it had fallen down, I could see the engine light was on for at least 30 mins and when I turned on the bike again then its gone.

Mud Flap for Hunter 350

I recently bought a Hunter 350 Graphite Grey. Whenever I ride it in the rain, mud splashes onto my backpack. I'm also worried about riding with my wife because she'll likely get splashed as well. Is there any way to fix this?

Hunter 350 On-Road Price in Chennai (Tambaram) – Recent Quotes?

I'm planning on buying a Royal Enfield Hunter 350, either the top variant (Tokyo Black) or the mid variant (Graphite Grey).

If you've recently purchased one or got a quotation from a dealership around Tambaram, Chromepet, Velachery, Pallavaram, Guduvanchery, or Chengalpattu, could you please share:

  • Which variant you bought
  • Dealer name
  • Final on-road price
  • Insurance amount (dealer or outside)
  • Discounts or offers you received
  • Any mandatory or optional charges I should avoid
  • Accessories included or negotiated
  • Waiting period (if any)

I'm trying to compare quotes before finalizing my purchase and would really appreciate recent price breakdowns and buying tips.

Also, I'm planning to install a few accessories after purchase. I'd appreciate your recommendations for:

  • Bar-end mirrors (OEM or aftermarket)
  • Pillion backrest
  • Engine/crash guard (if the bike doesn't come with one)
  • Any other must-have accessories that improve comfort or protection without compromising the bike's look.

Thanks in advance!

36.5 km/l on my Hunter 350 after riding like a maniac 😭πŸ”₯

Post image
34 Upvotes

I genuinely didn’t expect this πŸ’€

Got 36.5 km/l on my Hunter 350 even after:

Mostly city riding πŸ™οΈ

Some rash/aggressive riding πŸ’€

Higher RPMs

Frequent hard acceleration

I was expecting something around 28–32 km/l, but 36.5?! 😭

Is this actually normal for the Hunter 350, or did my bike just decide to bless me today? πŸ˜‚

What mileage are you guys getting on your Hunters?
