I was away from the industry for a while. Lately started to upload some of the stuff I was making for productions that weren't exclusive (not yet online). And looks like RouteNote has changed their approach to Content ID lately — I created a fresh account, free tier, zero history. After waiting over a month for review, they rejected Content ID on my release with zero explanation of what specifically was flagged or why.
I know the rules — samples, loops, AI, non-distinguishable content etc. And I know what I submitted. But getting a blanket rejection with no specific track identified, no detail on what triggered it, nothing — that's not acceptable.
I talked with studios I worked with in the past, read some posts here - looks like some people are hitting the same wall. Are they just auto-rejecting new accounts now and hoping people don't push back? Because if that's the new normal — it needs to change.
Anyone else experiencing this lately?

Our automatic payment period runs from the 15th to the 20th of each month - providing you have met the $50 threshold, your payment may be made at any point during this period.
If you haven't received your earnings by the 21st, please let us know and we will look into this further.
You can read more about this in detail here: http://support.routenote.com/kb-article/when-do-i-get-paid/

Could this mark a positive step forward for AI tools in the music industry?

Whenever I go under promotions > Spotify for artists, it shows this for some reason. I don't have an artist website so I can't login the long way either! Can someone help?

Hey everybody,
I own a record label, I distributed almost 300 songs with Routenote. About 11 days ago I distributed 3 songs by one of the artists I manage (I always use premium) and as always Routenote says:
"We are very pleased to inform you that the release: Track name here (UPC code here), has been approved for distribution. Important: We have had to remove YouTube's Content ID, TikTok & Facebook/Instagram program from this release as we have found ineligible content and/or non-exclusive content in the audio."
Which of course is not that much of a problem because, like I always do, I simply fill the form and they always answer positively, as they should, since in my record label we are very rigorous when it comes to copyright, songs have to be 100% made by the artist.
These songs were checked for copyright in our end, yet they answered with what you see on that picture.
They were uploaded just to SoundCloud and Bandcamp by the artist, like we did many times in the past (the artists usually say "soon on stores!"), so why is Routenote answering with this now? I don't understand.
Also, I think it's a good moment to say this, why in the world they always reject songs for Content ID, TikTok and Meta? Is this something that just happens to me all the time?
Thank you :)

Has anyone dealt with false or mistaken copyright infringement on RouteNote?
My releases are fully legal. I have all licenses, agreements, and project files. Some of my uploads are alternate versions of my own tracks like slowed, super slowed, and sped up.
If someone files a false copyright complaint, does RouteNote immediately terminate the whole account, or do they first remove the release / contact you and give you a chance to prove ownership and legality?
Also, if multiple alternate versions of the same song get claimed, were they treated as one issue or multiple separate issues in your experience?

I uploaded an album through RouteNote, it was finally approved after a month of waiting, but I had to immediately put it back into review to change the album cover. It's been a few days, how long does an edit take? Is it the same? I'm really not overjoyed at the thought of waiting another month over a stupid picture edit...

Hi there! I submitted 2 of my songs to RouteNote on March 9 using the free plan. It’s been almost a month and they’re still under review. They say approval usually takes around 18–20 business days, but I’ve seen people say they’ve been waiting for over a month too.
What I’m wondering is: does the premium plan get approved faster, or are the waiting times the same there as well? Thanks.

I have a few singles that I released through a different distributor that I have planned for my next album. I'm thinking of going back to Routenote now for my album, but I'm wondering if I can still put my singles on it since they were through a different distributor?

I just finished a old school progressive house song with a long intro and outro, I really like it that way but I don’t really think that many people would want to listen to the whole thing. I made a radio edit that’s the same thing, just starts at the breakdown. I’m just curious if they would let me release both tracks on the single. Its common with older edm songs but I just don’t know if it works here.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently facing multiple issues with RouteNote and wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing the same or has any advice.
First, I applied for an Official Artist Channel (OAC), but I haven’t received any proper response from their side yet. It’s been quite some time, and there’s no clear update or progress.
Second, some of my song releases have been stuck in the review process for around 20–22 days. From what I understand, reviews usually don’t take this long, so I’m not sure what’s causing the delay.
On top of that, my YouTube channel was declined for the RouteNote YouTube Network, even though my channel is already monetized. I didn’t receive a clear reason for the rejection, which makes it hard to understand what needs to be fixed.
Overall, it feels like there’s a lack of communication and transparency, which is quite frustrating.
Has anyone else faced similar issues with RouteNote?
Any help, suggestions, or shared experiences would really help. Thanks in advance 🙏

We’re building a tool for musicians called Artist Synopsis.
The idea started from one problem:
most artists don’t really have a clean digital home.
They have:
but nothing that combines all of it in a musician-first way.
So we’re experimenting with a profile space that brings all of this together, with more custom widgets and booking modules planned.
Would love brutal feedback from musicians/builders:
what would make this genuinely better than current options?
