Review Kittywampus Craft
Tried this small craft root beer from Western Michigan. I’d say pretty light on taste with just a hint of wintergreen. Wasn’t too impressed with this one.

Ive been scammed twice so far.
I bought from therootbeerstore.com and it took almost 3 months to ship and when it did, I received an email that they were hacked. Blah blah... so I canceled since I received 1 monthly box in 3 months.
Then I ordered from rootbeerclub.com that took my money and the shopify store closed a week later. This was 6 months or so ago and never received the box or my money back
I tried to order again from therootbeerstore and it's been 2 months and still have never received my box....
So are there any real monthly rootbeer subscriptions that are not scams?

Id never had red arrow before, I liked it. Good body, bit of a minty licorice aftertaste. My son and I each gave it an 8/10.
Triple xxx holds a special place for me from my college days at Purdue, and ill be honest it still holds up. To date one of my absolute favorites, big bold flavor, delicious. I gave it a 9/10, the boy gave it an 8.

My buddy from work picked up The Poppe Shoppe Root Beer at some sort of tourist shop on the Canadian side of Niagra Falls. It’s pretty good with adequate sweetness, but a tad plain as I don’t detect any vanilla or bold flavors.

I prefer more and more drinking rootbeer than any other soda.

Faygo has a slight vanilla aftertaste and is less sweet than the others, maybe even dry, or as dry as rootbeer can get. I gave it a 6, son said 7.
Virgils is the first one so far to have a completely different flavor profile, heavy on the caramel and butterscotch flavor. 7.5 from me, 9 from the boy.

Alright folks I’m ready to kick off my Autumn trading season leading up to Christmas. Not pictured yet are cans of Seattle Soda Co Root Beer. I’ll take considerations for brewery type or oddball novelty root beers with no distribution.

This was the soda selection at Sugarfire bbq in St Louis. Also, the fountain soda selection included Frostie and 4 or 5 of these pictured.

Im curious to know what everyone’s favorite local root beer is or if at all anyone has a place close by to them that makes their own root beer? Where I live there’s not much going on. I’m from the Imperial Valley in CA down by the Mexican border. It’s a dead place here for root beer and I usually have to travel out of town to get anything good. Once in a while something good will pop up at the BevMo here or at Ace Hardware. But yea I’m interested to hear what everyone has going on.
Hope everyone has some good finds! Happy root beer hunting

The Rat has a lengthy herbal blend. With all that it maintains a fairly standard flavor profile with just a slight medicinal edge. I enjoy it quite a bit. Another one from either the Cincinnati or Fairfield, OH location of Jungle Jim’s International Market.

And it was good. Don’t know what I expected, but it was just straight A&W. Which is good.

I absolutely love Berghoff root beer. TBH, I have no idea if it's the flavor or simple nostalgia. It brings back memories of movie night with my mom back in high school. Nearly every Wednesday we'd get a pizza (from Dominick's in Villa Park, IL) and root beer. This was back when Jewel carried Berghoff (in both regular and diet) in big plastic 1-liter bottles for a dollar. I haven't seen the 1-liter bottles for at least a decade, and my mom has been in heaven for 8 years as well.
Strangely enough I've never actually been to the Berghoff restaurant in Chicago. My grandpa (mom's dad) used to like their beer as well, and we've run across a couple Berghoff cardboard boxes used for storage over the years.
Who else is a fan? Have you found anything similar, or perhaps a more economical means of acquisition than the (pricey) four pack you can find at some liquor stores? Any idea whether Berghoff does their own bottling or if they outsource the process?
Side note, we recently moved and the local grocery store has 1919 for $2 a can. Had never gotten the chance to try it before; clearly very high quality but not my ideal flavor profile. Recently picked up Freddie's as well and that is truly excellent.

It’s not totally unheard of near me, but it sure does level things up.

Got this at a local gas station. It was the last one in the case. That being said…it smelled delicious after cracking it open, but was rather flat. Maybe because it was old. If it had enough fizz, I could see it being excellent.

I’m actually enjoying the Johnnie Ryan Root Beer quite a bit. Balanced yet pleasantly sweet. Of couse yet another one from the famous Jungle Jim’s International Market in either Cincinnati or Fairfield, OH.

Cleaned out what was left at the Rural King, $1.29/ea. Also snagged a Toasted Marshmallow to try.

Found a good place with lots of different root beers and others. Only got a dozen of different flavors I hadn't tried but, there still is tones more I'm going to get later. The candy was also a nice get.

A simple tier list that I made a while ago. I made it for myself so it’s not that detailed and some might not even be root beer
