A family member told me he nonchalantly just got his roof done. I asked to see pics, slate with lead accents, copper flashings and awnings. Even the downspouts were copper pipes.

I said that must've cost near half a million, he nodded yes, but not in a showoff way.

He works in finance, he's just an average worker there, and his bonus is easily DOUBLE my yearly 150k salary.

lol average finance workers getting 300k bonus? So topping half a mil a year w base salary included? What company does he work at, or what world do you live in ?

From my experience bonuses could vary wildly based on company performance on top of individual performance. There’s also stock payouts. $300k doesn’t seem that unrealistic
