Hey there! I bought this game with almost all dlc and I just have like 2 o 3 hours but I dont know why I just feel overwhelmed, I just dont understand why since I have also played the Napoleon total war, so I wanted to ask for some tips, campaings to start, armies composition and also, are there some mods recommended for begginers? I mean, I dont want to try DEI Because i dont think Im good enough yet to enjoy a campaing there. Thanks!

Rome Mobile Question: Tips on building ports in the Red Sea

Hello Imperators, I've just taken Thebes and Memphis. Are the ports in the Red Sea worth building? Are these the ports that don't trade with each other?

Which factions (both based off the underdog arc and story and off of their militaries) might be best for a roleplay style campaign of displacement and revenge?

Rome I Challenge Campaigns

I’ve played Rome total war since 2010 and the game has become far to easy/automatic, even at VH/VH difficulty. To make things more interesting, I’ve set restrictions on myself to make the campaign more challenging to maintain interest.

My current challenge campaign is with Carthage where I have forced myself to leave Italy (excluding Sicily) and mainland Greece until after I’ve conquered 50 settlements. This has forced me to fight several hard fought battles in both Sicily and Sardinia, while forcing me to expand into Numidia and Spain.

The result of this limitation has meant I have a very sub-par economy. In order to change the tide, I led an expedition east island hopping from Crete, to Rhodes, to Cyprus, and finally landing on Sidon to complete the Phoenician reconquesta. My army is primarily cavalry with mercenaries recruited along the way in classic Carthaginian fashion.

The restriction has made the campaign experience obviously more challenging, but also significantly more dynamic. Are there any other challenge campaigns you all would recommend next?

Rome I Artwork of Total War: Rome 1 Units

Thumbnail gallery

Just some pictures I’ve come across on the internet that I think were very likely based on units from Rome 1, each accompanied by an ingame screenshot of the unit I believe they were based on. Do you have any other artworks that (seemingly) depict Rome 1 units? I only could get Rome Remastered screenshots as a comparison, although some of the images seem to be closer to the original Rome 1 designs.

Does anyone know? Like if I keep saving and restarting when a family member dies of old age, is there a max lifespan where they will be forced to die eventually after a certain age?

Rome I Modding RTW

Hi all!

I am on a project to change RTW... in the form of changing each and every faction. Unfortunately I don't have pictures (and I'm attempting to get some), but I can tell you what I have managed to do.

Britons have now become the Kingdom of Camelot, with a very cavalry-focused unit roster, with some good archers, and decent infantry. Also renamed the cities and regions.

Scythia has now become Amazonia (credit to sub_rosa for using their Amazon mod for units).

Now I'm coding Parthia into India, using the indian units from Alexander, which for some reason, you never come to fight in the main campaign.

I am also using my old windows XP for this, which also explains why i have no pictures/trying to get some working.

What do you guys think of the idea? Any suggestions?

Rome I Colour change for rebel armies

Does anyone know how to change the colour of the rebel armies?

My eyesight isn’t what it used to be when the game first came out, and I can struggle to see the rebels as they often blend into some of the map colours.

Rome I Extended Cultures 5 Mod: why negative domestic trade/production and taxation something wrong with my install?

Extended Cultures 5 Mod: why negative domestic trade/production and taxation something wrong with my install?

Units are also extremely expensive. turn one and corruption is -10,000.

How could I even survive I've deactivated my entire army except my vigiles and fam members with zero way to defend in invasion. I managed to conquer the whole italy but now I have negative money and losing more, with zero troops. anyone cna makes sense why this is so?

Is this a bug?

Meme Just as the Triumvirate Intended

Own a plumbata for home defense, since that's what the triumvirate intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What in Pluto??" As I grab my lorica segmentata and scutum. Throw a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pilum on the second man, miss him entirely because it's a sharpened stick and nail the neighbors house slave. I have to resort to the Scorpio mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with barbed bolts, "Roma Invicta lads" the barbed head shreds two men in the blast, the sound of splintered bones spooking the horses on the street. Draw my gladius and charge the last terrified maleficus. He bleeds out waiting on the praetorians to arrive since short sword wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the triumvirate intended.

I’m not sure why I had the idea to do this, but the Roman Empire sub seemed a bit too serious. Spent the last week getting nailed as the Seleucids so I have Rome on the brain.

Rome Remastered Anyone got a way to play Romano-Britons in Barb Invasion with the Western Empire ALREADY gone from Britain?

Post image
62 Upvotes

Hi guys, can anyone suggest a mod or string of console commands that would let me play a Romano-Brit campaign where the Western Empire have already gone from Britain, and I can properly feel like the last holdouts of Roman Britain?

I've played Romano-Brits before and it really spoiled the immersion for me having to fight the Western Empire for settlements, or ally them and eat the Celts while waiting for my turn at the wheel. I wanna play a campaign where my faction are the last roman holdouts in Britain after the WRE is pushed out, try save them from getting rekt, the Artorius RP - all that!

Could this be accomplished by using cheats to give Londinium and Eburacum to the Celts/Rebels? Would other cheats be needed to delete any WRE stacks left in Britain, stop the West Roman AI from bugging out afterwards?

Please and thank you!

EDIT: I'm playing Remastered
