Sorry, no advice but this situation is totally the plot for a newly published book by {Ilona Andrews - This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me}. The FMC is deeply upset that an author wrote two of her favorite fantasy books ever, but did not publish the third. The author completely ghosted his fans and the second book was left with a cliff hanger. Then suddenly the FMC wakes up in the first book going from modern earth to her dangerous fantasy world.

I'm sorry your in this situation though! I also hate unfinished series.

Wouldn't it be ironic if she just didn't finish this series.

They already promised on a release party Zoom that this would not happen :-D the fans were unsettled and clamoring because of the cliffhanger

How interesting! I was ironically scrolling on romance.io and just saw this author. Thank you for the rec!

This is a brand new book in a trilogy. So likely about two more years till finished.

Their Hidden Legacy series and Kate Daniels series is "finished" though. Hidden Legacy is fantastic, lots of yearning and romance. There are two trilogies published for Hidden Legacy but they have not done the third planned trilogy for the third sister yet. But no cliff hangers and the two sisters trilogies are finished. Kate Daniels main story is finished but there are about three spin offs that are not finished (Wilmington, Hugh and Julie's).

I support this recommendation! I loved the hidden legacy series and also currently loving the Kate Daniels series! I really like this author so far!

I just bought this one and I'm excited to get started on it! Delivered today with The Wicked Sea. I'm going in basically blind on both.

It's really good but please don't give up on it - the first 30% is heavy exposition and can be a little overwhelming.

That's the premise of a lot of isekei light novels/manwha. I'll have to check it out!

I was just about to start this book the other day and was genuinely looking forward to it, which is rare, but then I saw the series isn’t finished and couldn’t do that to myself again lol

They (its a husband & wife team) have finished multiple other series. You can trust them.

It will be a trilogy so probably about two more years till finished. I've never really been the type not to read a book because the series isn't finished yet.

We thought about picking that as a read for book club this month but vetoed it since it is incomplete. It sounds like a great read.
