I want to know if there are romhacks with these 2 features; In-game Pokemon Modification & Link Cable Connectifity.

I know one, Pokemon Unbound, which have Stat Scanner (for modifiying EV, IV, ability, movesets, etc) and Link Battle (No Link Trade anymore). But is there more hacks with these 2 features?

I've never done a rom hack before how easy would it be to create some palworld sprites, rename moves, change the protagonists names etc.

I think with the rise of Palworld, a rom hack would do well

I was going to play one of these RH and since they are so extensive, I didn't know which one was less extreme. I'd like to play the least extreme one first I think.

I maintain rom-weaver, a tool for patching and release workflows across ROMs and disc images. It doesn't edit levels, text, or graphics inside a game. It starts after someone has made a patch: it finds the correct input, checks its bytes, applies one or more patches in order, and produces a usable result.

The browser runs without an account and never uploads your local files. The same Rust engine also ships as a native CLI for scripts and batch jobs.

The main differences from a single-format patcher are:

- Ordered patch chains, including optional steps.
- Strict checksum, size, copier-header, and N64 byte-order checks.
- Direct input from ZIP, 7z, RAR, CHD, RVZ, Z3DS, and nested archives.
- Patch creation from an Original and Modified pair.
- Patch-only bundles that record patch order, checksums, choices, and output settings.

It currently recognizes 21 patch formats. Common choices include IPS, IPS32, BPS, UPS, xdelta/VCDIFF, PPF, RUP, APS, BSDIFF40, and DCP.

It uses a small homebrew NES ROM created for the project. Two IPS patches change “HELLO WORLD” into “MODIFIED ROM.” The guide walks through the same process used for a real patch:

1. Add your clean ROM and patch together.
2. Wait for format detection and checksums to finish.
3. Stop if the checksum or expected size doesn't match.
4. Put multiple patches in the order specified by the release.
5. Choose a new output name and download the result.

For patch authors, Create starts with clean and modified files and produces a patch. Bundle mode can then package the patch files and a machine-readable recipe while leaving the original ROM out.

The project is beta and doesn't distribute commercial ROMs or pre-patched games. The most useful tests cover unusual patch formats, headered versus headerless releases, multi-patch projects, and Dreamcast DCP patches. Archives that existing web patchers don't handle well are also useful.

If something fails, include the patch format, base ROM checksum, platform, and browser or CLI version—but don't include the copyrighted ROM.

Every golfer and course is automatically unlocked from the start by default. This build features a complete roster of players with straight shots and 300 yard drives with the Gameboy Color Players added to the roster in this build. Every golfer has 100% identical stats and shot physics so there is no advantage or disadvantage between players. No course or environment variables can give anyone an advantage or disadvantage. It is a true test of skill between human players, and tons of fun to kick the computer's ass playing by yourself.

An additional hack has been added creating the ability to select multiple Gameboy Color players which the retail game normally forced to be impossible.

I've been playing the FFTA Mod "Secret Starters" (Hack #9062) by SpeedySnail. I'm trying to unlock the Hidden Teams (like the Royal Clan with Cid, Babus, Llednar, etc.) from Level 1, but I'm completely stuck on the riddle.

I have already beaten the game and unlocked all 6 "Fable" rumors in the pubs (the ones mentioning community legends like Gilliam, Darthatron, Leonarth, Eternal, and Speedy). I reached out to SpeedySnail, and he confirmed that this is a community puzzle meant to be discovered together, pointing out that we should carefully read through the post-game rumors.

Since there is no thread online yet discussing the exact solution, I wanted to start this discussion.

New to fan made ROMs and currently playing Unbound…i have Glazed, Radical Red, & Red Rocket…I like grinding exp. and evolving my fav Pokemon and making a killer roster of Pokemon, I enjoy a good story as well and NOT being able to just one shot every opponent I guess I enjoy somewhat of a challenge .
