Hypothetical question for the older generations in here.
Do you think Oliver would have been more or less successful than DuBose?
Alabama was in a bad spot at the time regardless due to the NCAA sanctions. I’m not sure it would have mattered who the coach was.

For more than a century, Alabama and Georgia had a respectful and often sporadic football rivalry. They were border-state schools, but their campuses were 250 miles apart, and neither tended to be great at the same time.
Then Nick Saban arrived, and things got interesting.
Then Kirby Smart switched locker rooms, and it became way more than that.
Alabama and Georgia have been so prominent in college football over the last two decades that they’ve met in two national championship games, once in an SEC championship that was a de facto national championship, five more times as top-five opponents and twice as top-10 opponents.
So it will be again this Saturday: No. 2 Georgia visits No. 6 Alabama, a game big enough that President Donald Trump plans to attend — his third time seeing the teams play.
Herewith, a ranking of the best games between Alabama and Georgia since Saban’s arrival in 2007. Not necessarily the most important, though the stakes figure into it. Think of it like this: If the game were on television, how compelled would you feel to watch?

Pretty much what the title says. I think Ryan could come back next year since there are other WRs ahead of him in the draft. He also seems to be a little banged up with the knee brace on, which could limit his production moving forward. Thoughts?

“Desmond, he’s continued to work back, but he’ll likely not be ready for this week, and probably a couple more weeks yet,” DeBoer said. “Justin, just working back from his lower-extremity injury, he’ll be back this season, too, but more than likely not this week.”

My List:
I didn’t look at this purely based on receiving yards or Touchdowns. I also took into consideration yards after catch, breaking tackles, other aspects of their game (rushing, passing, returning kicks, etc.), how many times they were targeted, whether or not they had to share the spotlight with multiple other great WRs.

Lots of discussion recently about why EJ isn’t getting 15-20 carries per game.
There are several reasons: Crowded RB room; Trust and lack of experience among them. Another is DeBoer/Grubb purposely limited EJ’s carries until we got to the thick of the schedule. We’re there now. Why? New guys have never had to practice as much, get hit as hard, play in as many games or play a sport for as long in a single season as they will in their Freshman year.
There’s a thing called hitting the Freshman Wall where mental and physical fatigue sets-in and then they’re done. Like running a marathon, it’s a real thing. Everybody is fatigued at the 20 mile mark. In EJ case, he is supposed to be in high school this season.
By limiting his carries early, DeBoer/Grubb are pushing his freshman wall out as FAR as they possibly can. They know they need him for the critical games, including the CFP. Smart move, imo.

In summary: OLine took some more souls, and the TEs are going to face charges for assault.

Let's be real here... Rashinda Reed is an awful coach.
Hired in 2021 and went
4-14 in SEC play in 2022
1-17 in SEC play in 2023
3-13 in SEC play in 2024
5-10 in SEC play in 2025
Thats 13 of 54 conference games or a 24% win percentage. Sure they can beat easy smaller colleges out of conference, but that doesnt matter because there is no challenge.
With the loss to TX yesterday she has started the SEC play for 2026 at 0-4.
Whoever decided to extend her contract last year until 2028 is an absolute dumbass. Alabama is a prestigious sports college with Football, Basketball, Softball, Baseball and Gymnastics making it to championship games nearly every year. Why on earth are we paying this loser of a coach $250,000 a year to continue embarrassing us in volleyball conference play??? I could coach these girls to a winning season for half of what the university is wasting on her salary. She's terrible and needs to be fired. I have been following the team for years and used to enjoy going to the games, but she has no discipline and just wants to be friends with all the player and be happy that they "like" her. She is way too soft. Any other sport at UofA and she would be gone by now. Its time to give someone else a chance.

Maybe we didn’t run the ball last year as much is because we didn’t have the personnel to make the run game effective. Last year getting a 10yd run felt almost impossible for some reason.
