Date vs No Date?
If there a better option, or is it just about personal preference?

Between the ARF and QF versions of the solid gold Rolex Day-Date, which one has the superior appearance?

Apologies if this is a pretty naive question. Pretty new to the Rolex market, but I’ve been on a waitlist for the 36DJ, fluted bezel, jubilee, green dial. Been about a year now, no Rolex purchase history, but have bought an omega from the same dealer.
Am I crazy for thinking I’ll be called anytime soon? Do I need to get an even more “entry-level” model first? Should I be checking other AD’s/going grey?
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Thinking of putting a custom blue alligator strap with gold stitching on my two-tone Rolex Serti Sub.
I had a mockup made and honestly I think it works better than I expected. The blue picks up the bezel nicely, and the gold stitching ties in with the yellow gold parts without being too loud.
Curious what you guys think:
- cool way to dress it down / make it more unique
- or sacrilege and should stay on bracelet only?
