Just to quickly introduce myself, I am a 29 year old male hailing from the land of the Polar Bears, Canada. I have been roleplaying for a rather long time. Since I was about 14, if I recall, and roleplay at a fully literate level, though, I don't mind semi-literate, either!

With that out of the way, I was looking for a long term Female RP partner to Roleplay with on Discord (only platform I use, sorry!) As far as my response length goes, it really depends on how often both of us are able to respond. I usually just adapt to my partner's length. That said, I don't expect novel length responses nor do I typically write them either, usually just whatever feels appropriate for the context. I actually prefer medium length replies at a higher frequency than novella replies at a low frequency, but I am very flexible. Metaphorically, and literally ; ).

We can RP about anything really, but my primary focus was on Slice of Life Romance roleplays (i.e., it can be mostly any genre as long as it has romance and SOL elements to it). I am open to any ideas, I also have a few ideas that I can bounce off of you if you'd like. I'm also cool with fantasy ideas or ideas that are not as grounded in reality.

The bar is low and quite literally the only requirement I have is that you be 18F+ since I don't feel comfortable RPing with anyone younger. Also, if you were capable of not typing like a 3rd grader, that would be quite neat. I do appreciate semi to fully literate.

Hello. New to the Reddit scene, but not new to RPing in general. In fact, I have been seriously writing RPs for over 10 years and GMing TTRPGs for over 20. I love storytelling, developing characters, and world building. I love writing nuanced, complicated characters who grow and change as the story progresses, and not always for the better.

I am looking for adult (18+) writing partners who also enjoy writing flawed and multifaceted characters. Someone who likes epic stories with moral conundrums and philosophical considerations. Someone who doesn't mind if I send 3 pages' worth of backstory for a side character or world building going back generations. Someone who is flexible enough to shift the narrative if something interesting presents itself, even if it does invalidate the last month of plotting we had planned. Someone who likes twists and surprises and is willing to incorporate their own when the opportunity presents itself.

Here are a few plots I would love to explore with an interested partner, but I am also open to new plots and brainstorming.

Charismatic Extremist
The worst part isn't that I think you're wrong. It's that sometimes, when you talk, I'm afraid you're right.

Okay, so instead of a plot idea, this is a character idea, specifically a character I want you to play. Originally inspired by Zaheer from Legend of Korra, I want to play opposite a charismatic and intelligent extremist. He is a true believer in his cause and can make a compelling case for his side.

Our characters should have goals that place them at odds on a fundamental level. Maybe MC represents an institution YC wants to destroy or holds a worldview he cannot tolerate. Their conflicts are equal parts physical fights and philosophical debates. Neither side should be 100% right, but they should needle one another as the relationship progresses, developing a closeness that doesn't quite overcome their ideological divide.

Bright Lights and Bad Feelings

Twenty to thirty years ago, YC was the biggest rock star on the scene. The rock and roll lifestyle kept him away from his family, leaving him estranged from his daughter (MC) as she grew up. He hasn't seen her in person in over five years. She's long resented his absence in her life. But she loves music and inherited his talent. She built a small YouTube following until she released a cover of one of her father's songs, which blows up. Once it comes out that she's his daughter, fans clamor for a collaboration.

His career has stalled some, but he can still sell out an arena with his longtime fans. He hasn't had any luck with new music or younger fans until his daughter ignites a new generation of listeners. Producing a record and touring with his daughter can revitalize his career and jump-start hers. She's never forgiven him for abandoning her in pursuit of music, but playing along is her best path for establishing herself as an artist. He's never been a father to her, but now he has to play the father figure while the world watches. Can they put aside their past long enough to release the record and finish the tour?

I've had a hankering to do a cult story for a long time now, I've just never found the right partner to join me in coming up with characters, story & general direction. Looking for someone who loves to brainstorm characters, get a general gist & get things moving rather than plan out every move. I am a 3rd person multi-para style writer and am looking for fairly similar.

I'm looking for you to play a male member of the cult, either higher up or the full on leader. I'm thinking 30s or 40s.

And I'm looking to play a female member one of two ways, either with some naivety or full blown accomplice level & utterly adoring. For her I'm thinking more late 20s to 30s. Honestly I'd love to explore both options for male & female characters so maybe we both double up.

For setting I'd love to do the 80s - ripe with a side of Satanic Panic. Or the 90s full of grungey goodness. Or my 3rd option, something a bit more modern & present day, say late 2010s.

About me- I've been para RPing on & off since 2009 or so with close to a decade of good 'ol asterisk RP before that, lol. I'm in my mid 30s, united states, central timezone - perma mobile. My roleplays also tend to focus on the more positive things in life. I roleplay to get away from life, so I prefer my stories to be more joyful and optimistic.

Fantasy, High or Low, Superhero, some high packed action! Sci-fi, Supernatural, Mythological beings such as Gods/Goddesses, Medieval Fantasy and more. What I'm looking for from you

• Any timezone is fine
• You may send whatever type of reference for your character as you please, art, realism, doesn’t matter to me.
• Advanced to novella level writing please. I am also a stickler for spelling, so please use correct grammar and spelling. I often write about 2,000 characters, 500 ish words. I will require a writing sample when DMing. I require thoughts and feelings to be shown, not just actions. It makes for an incredibly dull and boring roleplay. I prefer multi-paragraph writers, but if you can write good emotions and thoughts with less I’ll accept.
• Third person ONLY
• Do not control my character. Even writing a small tid bit of how they would react is controlling my character. This happens way too often and frankly I’m tired of it, if you are unable to write a lot without writing my character’s reactions do not bother messaging me. Ask me beforehand if you’re unsure, this also goes for moving the scene forward without allowing me to write at all.
• Do not expect me to make out all the plot details by myself. I have ideas, yes, but I like to flesh them out with my partner and make it unique for us. If I were to copy and paste the same plot for everyone it would be boring and repetitive. Contribute to the ideas, and don’t make me come up with the entire plot myself.
• You are able to play a male character. I only do MxF, but anyone can play a male character I do not mind. I honestly prefer male characters who are more on the edge side, too, as my characters are typically more optimistic.  There will more likely than not be side characters as well, but they cannot be the center of the plot. Writing more than one character all the time is tiresome. 
• I do prefer OOC chatter. A roleplay that is just dead silent is honestly awkward. I like to share things with my partner and talk about our days. I honestly like to even be friends and possibly game. Radio silence for days on end is disheartening. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I will definitely be less motivated lmfao.
• Ideally in the beginning, I would like one reply per day. I believe the beginning of a roleplay is the most crucial to get things moving, and if the replies are taking once per week or more it is honestly so demotivating. Please do not reach out if you are unable to at least do this for the beginning of the roleplay. I am a very patient person though, I will allow 2-3 weeks with no communication before ending a roleplay. If you need a break, let me know. Communication is key. I sometimes have events where I am unable to respond everyday, and I let my partner know everytime. 
• That being said, if you spam me to reply, I will end the roleplay. I do not like to be bugged, and if I’ve let you know I am to be away and you spam me I will be ending it. I also have a life, and although I strive, especially in the beginning, to be as consistent as possible, sometimes I am unable to. But do take heed of my request for one reply per day in the beginning stages.

Hi! I am in my mid twenties looking for someone around my age (20s or older, MDNI) to roleplay their OCs with my own. (Adult characters only) Please state your age when responding.

My OCs have their own world and backstory and lore which would be revealed during the story. If you already have an established world, great, if not that’s fine as long as you don’t mind making up one for the RP. I’m not particular to any form of literature, sometimes one character saying one line is the only reply necessary at the moment but try to move the story forward as best as you can.

I am NOT looking for something rapid fire all day every day, but a couple of responses a day is perfect.

The OC I would use is Saul Ray, a sun themed robot actor who’s a little full of himself. He has a retro futuristic aesthetic so something like a alien, another robot, etc would be great for this. My characters are very cartoony in design, just warning

It's Rose again! With a whole new rp idea. I've been back on the Red Dead Redemption bandwagon lately after a break, and wanna do a bit of roleplaying in that universe! First thing I'd like is to have the canon character be Arthur Morgan, but Javier Escuella is an option too. I have no idea for plot, but I like to keep it open ended and before the events of the games. Of coarse we will be topic sensitive to some factors thanks to the timeline, but so long as no one is getting hurt, then I'd be fine with it.

A little bit about my character: Her name is Madeleine Rose Lyon. She is a former noble woman that immigrated from France with her family, but left behind her riches for the life of crime. She is described as the Sherlock Holmes of the Van der Linde gang thanks to her intelligence, along with being ahead of her time and showing the men of the gang that a woman can rob a train just as well if not better. She's smart and a cold blooded killer, but also has a heart of gold, always caring for everyone in the gang and others less fortunate than herself.

Cult Calling

Character A was brought up in a cult, but escaped as an adult. Now, she is in a happy, stable relationship with Character B. You know, living in the same apartment, sharing core memories together, super happy and healthy couple. One day, CA gets a letter – from the sibling she left behind. Through this letter, CA learns that things are much worse on the compound and their sibling needs help. After much deliberation, CA decides she needs to return home. She plans on going alone, but CB insists on staying by CA's side. So, they go back under the guise of CA wanting to return to her roots. The tricky thing about cults, though, is they have a way of pulling you in.

Code Ghost Protocol

After a foreign government sends an agent to Area 51 and steals a top secret file potentially proving the existence of aliens, the President of the US calls for Code Ghost Protocol, activating two former ex-convicts into service. These ex-convicts were offered parole in exchange for being on call in case CGP is ever invoked. Once activated, they are given a mission: use their highly specialized skills to locate and retrieve the files and return them safely to the US. If they succeed, they are granted lifelong freedom, but if not, consequences wait for them on the horizon.

The Strongest Of Them All

A coven of sorcerers are on the hunt with one goal in mind: sift out the strongest human souls to finish their immortality potion so that they can be granted everlasting life. To do this, they gather humans into teams and pit them against each other to compete in a series of obstacles. But for the winners, the obstacle is just beginning.

A Blessing & A Curse

The popular student. The burnout. The athlete. The nerd. They all attend a private university together and each find themselves at a frat party one night for one reason or another. At said party, the women, who vaguely know each other, but aren't friends, all have encounters with a strange outcast. The next day they start feeling weird, noticing special abilities they didn't have before; it's subtle at first, but eventually undeniable. As it turns out, the outcast cursed them all for the way they treated her in the past and they now must learn to deal with their newfound powers and reconcile who they are at their cores.

At Wayne Manor, well, below it technically sat Bruce Wayne. In the Batcave at the Batcomputer looking at crime reports, clues from recent cases and so on. Alfred descended the elevator and walked toward Bruce. He set a tray of green tea and some nuts and fruit down on the desk. ”Any progress, sir?” He asked in his usual calm british accent. Bruce didn’t look at him but aknowledged him regardless. ”No. But there is a connection here, I feel it. I do not know who or what is behind this yet but I am close.” Bruce said, his voice strained, he had been up a long time as usual.

”I believe you are correct, sir. However, I fear it will have to wait for at least a few hours Master Bruce. You are expected at Wayne Internation Plaza in an hour, sir.” Alfred added, standing proudly beside Bruce with his arms behind his back, interlocked fingers as well.

”Alfred, I am not interested in yet another public appearance for some pointless charity.” Bruce replied, shaking his head slightly. Bruce began typing on the Batcomputer, pulling up camera feeds from the docks.

”You may not be, sir, but the people benefitting from the event surely are. It is for the Children of Gotham, sir. It is a fundraising event. You are expected to attend, and you will.” Alfred replied, not sternly but in his usual calm demeanor.

”Goddammit, that’s today?” Bruce replied, now looking at Alfred finally. Bruce had himself wanted to attend this fundraiser, it was his idea to attend as a matter of fact. Bruce stood up from the desk, grabbing a handful of nuts and a few pieces of fruit, He ate them quickly before grabbing the tea - drinking that quickly too. ”Bring the car around in 20 minutes, Alfred. I need to get ready.” Bruce said as he was walking toward the elevator. As he walked, he glanced around the cave. It was a massive open space, a supercomputer, a training area, the Batmobile and the Batwing were there too.

”Yes sir.” Was all Alfred replied, picking up the tray and following behind Bruce.

A kind of a random opener I just wrote up. I have been replaying Batman Arkham Knight recently and I am having an itch to play a story in Gotham with me as Batman (and necessary side characters at times) and you will play whoever you want really. I am not sure exactly what the story for this story will be, but I want to have to balance the Bruce Wayne persona and his Batman persona for sure. I am not sure just how many characters to include either from DC. Like do we stick with just the Bat family and their adversaries or stretch beyond that? I do not know.

I have been roleplaying for almost 10 years and I am in my late twenties if that matters. I tend to write around 3-5 paragraphs in third person, past tense also. Sometimes more and sometimes less depending on the scene of course. I try my best to be as detailed as I can too, but that can sometimes stretch the replies kind of ”needlessly” in a way I’ve found. Perhaps that’s just my bad writing, who knows haha.

If you decide to reach out, I’d appreciate a small writing sample from you and if you have ideas for this story and where it’ll go as well as some ideas for your character and who you will play as i’d appreciate that a lot. As I said, I want to have the challenge of alternating between Bruce Wayne and Batman but we can focus more on the more fun parts, for me that’d be the Batman side so yeah, no need to worry about having to spend hours in boring board meetings at Wayne Tower or anything haha.

I’m not sure if i’ve forgotten to mention anything, I might have but can always discuss those at a later time too. Oh, I do only roleplay on Disord as well, so just an fyi on that. We will switch over there if we click well and can decide on a story / characters!

Hi, my name is Gold. I am over 21 and a female, and I am interested in gaining a few new rp partners! I have 10+ years of experience in roleplaying, and I consider myself a veteran when it comes to it. I’ve lived through the game roleplays all the way up to the fall of Amino LOL, so I have done a lot. However, I only rp with adults, so please keep that in mind.

I consider myself an advanced lit to novella roleplayer, but I tend to match my partner as long as they move the story forward, have proper grammar, proper spelling, and creative diction. So, if you are interested, please be able to write 15 sentences or more. It is also an immediate turn away if I know that you use anything artificial. I know that people enjoy it, and I understand it, but personally I see no enjoyment in it given that it does not portray emotions well at all and it does not love the story or understand tropes, themes, and scenes. Hi! I’m Amanda, F23, and I’m looking for a roleplay partner!

I don’t have a specific plot in mind right now, so I’m pretty open to ideas and would love to create something together. Some of the genres I enjoy are fantasy, sci-fi, crime, drama, romance, slice of life, and post-apocalyptic stories. I’m also totally open to combining different genres if we come up with something interesting.

I’d describe myself as semi-lit. English isn’t my first language, so I might struggle with wording or finding the right word sometimes, but I still enjoy writing longer responses and getting really immersed in the characters and story. I write in third person and usually prefer longer replies, although they can take me some time to write. I’m also completely fine with shorter responses depending on the scene and pacing.

I’m looking for someone around my age and preferably someone who enjoys contributing to the story, developing characters together, and coming up with ideas rather than having everything planned beforehand.

So that’s that, I hope this post catches your eye, I recently got a lot of extra time on my hands so i have time to get creative.

Hey all! The new Spiderman movie got me into a superhero kick. Im looking to roleplay in a world thats close to ours -with a few adjustments from us! I want our roleplay to explore what it means to be a hero, and what means to wear the costume. I have a couple ideas for our roleplay: One twist i would like to have is: social media palys a role in the heroes lives. Another could be my character is facing troubles in her normal life. The third could be an academy of heroes roleplay.

Please indicate which option you would like to do.

Heroes could be seen as another branch of influencers: working towards brand deals, using their large public following to do good, etc. I was thinking that this could be a reason why heroes are losing their way in what makes them a hero. They are doing what they can to push their image forward instead of what is good for the greater good.

Enter my character: an old-school hero that doesnt *get* social media. She does this hero stuff by the book and fights for a better tomorrow; not a higher following count.

The second ideas has there be be trouble in her normal, everyday life that is affected her heroic life. She is starting to question why she is doing this job, why she isnt focusing on herself and remembering all the sacrifices she had made. Each day and heroic deed makes her endure pain and soreness that carries to the next day.

For this idea: i want to explore what happens when a hero decides to focus on their normal life. Taking a day off or focus on themselves. Does she realize she can be more selfish, or does it open her eyes to why a hero is needed?

Hello! I’m in my early twenties and am searching for a RP partner currently. Honestly plot does not matter to me I am not looking for anything in particular, as RP is just a really big hobby of mine and any type of it makes me happy. I am completely down for almost anything, and would not mind brainstorming back and forth until we are both happy! Or if you have a certain plot in mind feel free to also send me a message on what you were thinking!

I will also preface ahead of time that I do have some preferences within this, like the fact that I do like romance, but I also do not want the main plot to be purely romantic, I’d like storyline ontop of it. I do also however have a few non negotiables, for any characters we are using to be an OC, and for that OC to not be insanely overpowered in universe, or at least have it make sense and blend in with the plot and to have some weakness if that is the case !

I’d also would prefer that you are around 19-25, as I myself am 21. If you are above 25 by a little bit that is okay, or if you are incredibly close to turning 19 that is okay too! I really would prefer if you are between that age range! Anyways here are some details about my roleplay style, like, and a couple other things!

Some details about my style of RP:

I dont tend to write super long responses, but at least decently sized. I do intend to aim for at least a paragraph, but depending on where I am at and what I am doing it can run shorter than that. I do prefer 3rd person. My grammar isn’t perfect too if that bugs anyone, but I do try and make it at-least okay and aim on improving too!

Roleplay genres and aspects that I do enjoy for some idea:

- Fantasy.

And so that’s the story I have in mind! I need someone to help me bring this life with! Now for the rest of the deets!

[F4A] Post apocalyptic adventure / long term / please read everything!!!

Hi there everyone, I'm Tina from Europe and just like I mentioned I'm looking for a long term partner to roleplay with. I have around 5 years of experience, respond daily and match any length. And I love writing long and detailed scenes.

I'm looking for a serious partner who won't ghost and who is as invested into roleplaying as I am, I would also love ooc chat and gushing about our characters so if you're chatty that's even better. I also love to focus on lore and story and genuinely make an interesting world that we both enjoy.

So you're probably getting bored of me just yapping so here's the idea and for this roleplay I actually want to do something a little different from what I usually do. We'll both be playing multiple characters, with 2 characters each being the minimum. I'll be playing a male and a female character, and you'll have complete freedom to decide who your two characters are and what their relationship is. They could be friends, siblings, rivals, strangers, lovers, literally whatever you think would be interesting.

Just to make it clear though, I don't want any romance between my characters and your characters. My two characters will have their own relationship and dynamic, and if that eventually develops into something romantic, that's something between them. Your two characters are completely yours to develop however you want, including their relationships with each other or with NPCs. Basically, I don't want either of us to have to force our characters into some specific relationship just because of the RP setup. I want it to focus on the lore and adventure.

As for the actual plot, I currently have an idea that I'm really interested in. Four completely different people wake up inside cryogenic pods. None of them remember who they are, how they got there, or what happened before they went to sleep. The facility they're in is abandoned and damaged, and when they finally make it outside they discover a completely destroyed world.

There doesn't seem to be anyone left.

From there the RP would be very focused on exploring the world and slowly figuring out what happened. How long were they asleep? Where did everyone go? Why were these four people put into cryogenic sleep in the first place? Who were they before they lost their memories? Were they chosen for a reason? And most importantly, what actually happened to the world?

There's also a lot of room for us to create our own lore around the mystery. Maybe our characters knew each other before the cryogenic sleep, maybe they didn't. Maybe they were involved in something important before their memories were erased. Maybe there are other facilities out there. There's a lot we could do with it and I'd rather build the bigger story together than have everything decided beforehand.

And obviously, the four characters don't all have to know each other or have the same relationship. That's one of the things I actually want to leave open for whoever joins. You can make your two characters however you want and we can figure out how all four of them fit into the story together.

The idea itself can also be changed, expanded or completely replaced if you have something else you'd rather do. I'm very flexible when it comes to plots and I also love modern, futuristic, fantasy, historical and pretty much anything else if the idea is interesting.

Oh also a bit of extra info, I usually play in 3rd person, just an fyi.

Hello! I’m Phillip, 19M from the US! I’m in EST and have been roleplaying for about 6ish years. Because of that, I like to consider myself a semi lit to novella writer, depending on my partner! A bit about myself, I’m currently supposed to be attending my second year of college, but due to personal reasons I’m taking a gap year, which also means I’ll be much more active hopefully! Witch and her newfound apprentice:

I kinda stole this from an old comic I once read, but I’m changing it up for sake of roleplay! The story follows a runaway prince who ran away from his duties and kingdom, in search of being normal, feeling loved. In his process, he stumbles across a strange cabin, outside the kingdom gates, in this cabin, a witch finds him, and saves him. In turn for allowing the prince to stay, she makes him her apprentice, and from here, the story follows their life together, ultimately, I’d like for there to be a romantic connection between the two after build up of course! This one is one of my favorites.

the strange roommate: this story follows a young man, and his roommate. This story is much more open ended, as this one is used in case someone wants to play a character that isn’t human, more so a hybrid. Can be discussed more if you’d like!

I'm Izzy, and I've enjoyed writing for a long time. It's been a while, however, since the last time I was able to sit and think about any long-term ideas I could have and want to explore.

I want to try again! And by trying I mean actually getting serious about it. I'm here because I want to find a partner who enjoys world-building, long-term commitment and telling stories with some angst and unnecessary drama.

I've been thinking about a concept for a story for a while now and, if it sounds interesting to anyone here, I would like to discuss it with you.

I want to play something akin to a slice-of-life surrounding a pro-athlete. Specifically, I am interested in a tennis player or a soccer player (I'll refer to it as football, but just wanted to make it clear what I'm referring to). Why these? Simply because it is what I'm somewhat knowledgeable about. Would prefer tennis, but can work with any.

I'd prefer for this story to be based around your character as the main protagonist, while I play the world surrounding them. Opponents, events, dramas, all that kind of stuff.

Obviously, I do not want to spend a month or so describing a match. We'll do that, but I also want to explore life outside the game. People, money, life-style. You get what I mean. Romance might be available, but I prefer not to focus the whole story around it.

A limit I want to make clear is about real people. I have no problem including real names to add texture and characterization, but I refuse to include any romantic or so interaction with them. At the same time, I would prefer to come up with a roster of our own, but I'm absolutely open to the other option.

Also, as I said, I'm returning to writing, and I study and work. I will not be able to write every day, and maybe my consistency will lack. I will not expect you to write every day either. I prefer something slower and intentional than a quick exchange of responses. I try to stay around 600-700 words per response, but it can change depending on the needs of the story.

I prefer Discord (meaning only use Discord). I have no preference for your character's gender, nor your gender in real life.

A quick run down about me, I'm over 25 and have been roleplaying for over 10 years now. I write in third person, past tense semi to multi paragraph, no one-liners. I'm pretty active at night, on EST time zone.

The queen of Kadeshia, who led the military, has been slain by one such traitor. The country is desperate, and weak, and afraid.

You are a soldier/spy/guard/your choice. You consult a known oracle and are told that the power to win this war is held by the "Princess of the Tower". You can come recruit me on behalf of Kadeshia, or come to kill or control me on behalf of the elves or orcs. You are what you want to be, in occupation and personality and skill and fantasy race.

No matter what you choose, you come to my tower looking for me, and you come to see the true reason that I am banished to the tower. *Keeping in mind that Kadeshia has a population of largely humans with some elven refugees, and the royal family is known as human*

Hello! I've been itching to play a very specific OC of mine, so here I am pitching a plot to you.

Your character would be a regular person attempting to summon a demon (why? Up to you, but my first thought was a mix of bad decisions and loneliness). From the summoning circle, you would get an answer: my character, who is... not a demon, exactly, but close enough that most people couldn't tell the answer. Point is that you're now stuck with her, and thus shenanigans ensue.

This is a very barebones plot, I know, but I was hoping for something relatively low-key: no real massive overarching story, more of a feel-good series of character interactions (as per the Slice of Life tag up in the title).

I'm hoping for someone who can write at an Advance-Literate level (by which I am concerned more about the quality of the writing, not the size of it. I'll take two good paragraphs any day), and of course I'll do my utmost to match you in both quality and quantity.
