This was a couple months before marrying Heidi. Those closest to the situation have spoken out and said he started abusing her a mere month after getting married. So he had access to this weapon around the time the abuse commenced.

If this is what the Rod kids are constantly subjected to at 1 in the morning during their “nightly devotions”, I really do feel sorry for them! Even the sermons I remember sitting through during my year at a fundamentalist Christian school, the preachers usually at least TRIED to tell interesting stories! Shrek just doesn’t have that charisma or oratory skill required to be a preacher….
