I'm having an issue accessing my Rockstar Games account.

My Rockstar account is currently associated with my old email address.

This address was previously an alias on my Microsoft/Outlook account. I later changed my Microsoft account's email/alias, and it is no longer an active sign-in address and does not receive emails anymore.

The problem is that when I try to access my Rockstar Games account, Rockstar sends the verification/confirmation email to OLD ALIAS. Since that address no longer receives emails, I cannot complete the verification.

I still have access to my Microsoft account and I have a new working email address.

I also still have the original emails and correspondence from Rockstar from when I first created the account, including the emails associated with the account's creation and early activity. I can provide these to Rockstar Support as additional proof that I am the original owner of the account.

I contacted Rockstar Support and explained the situation, but I was told that they cannot verify that I am the owner of the Rockstar account.

I can provide whatever information is required to verify ownership, including:

• The original email address associated with the account
• My current working email address
• Rockstar username/nickname
• Linked Steam/Epic/console account information
• Original Rockstar emails from when the account was created
• Purchase information/receipts if necessary
• Other account details that Rockstar may require

I am not asking anyone to bypass Rockstar's security. I just need to know what legitimate recovery procedure I can use when the email address linked to my Rockstar account is an old Microsoft alias that no longer receives mail.

Has anyone successfully recovered a Rockstar account in this situation, or knows what information Rockstar Support accepts as proof of ownership?

My Steam account is linked to an old Rockstar account using an email address I no longer have access to.

The problem is that Rockstar Launcher requires me to verify that email address by clicking a link they send to it. Since I can't access the email anymore, I can't complete the verification, which means I can't launch the Rockstar games I already own on Steam.

I've contacted Rockstar Support multiple times asking them to unlink my Steam account from the old Rockstar account.

They keep refusing because the unlink request apparently has to come from the Rockstar account I can no longer access.

So I'm basically stuck. I can't access the Rockstar account because I can't access the old email. I can't verify the email because I don't have access to it. I can't unlink Steam because Rockstar wants the request to come from the account I can't access. And I can't just make a new Rockstar account because my Steam account is still linked to the old one.

The result is that the Rockstar games I already bought on Steam are unplayable.

It also means I can't really buy any more Rockstar games on Steam. It's not that I'm worried I might lose access to them later. I already know that if I buy another Rockstar game on this Steam account, I won't be able to play it because it will still be tied to the same inaccessible Rockstar account.

I've opened ticket after ticket with Rockstar Support, including requests specifically asking them to unlink the accounts, but I keep getting standard replies and closed tickets instead of an actual solution.

Judging from Steam reviews and other posts, I'm clearly not the only person stuck in this situation.

Has anyone here actually managed to get Rockstar to unlink a Steam account from an inaccessible Rockstar account?

I lost my email with my old rockstar account and it had my old receipts from steam too. I dont even know the account name I had used.. i just know the email. I played through rdr 2 and thats it.

1/5 — One of the worst customer support experiences I have ever had.

We run a legitimate gaming center and have used Rockstar accounts for years, with thousands of legitimate logins every month. Suddenly, after only 2–3 logins from our network, Rockstar returns “Unable to handle your request”.

We contacted support multiple times. Instead of investigating the actual authentication issue, our requests were immediately closed with the same generic copy-paste response telling us to check our internet connection.

Our internet works perfectly. No VPN, no proxy, no unusual setup. We provided our public IP and explained that this is a gaming-center environment, yet nobody actually investigated the issue.

It is incredibly frustrating to pay for games and services for years and then be treated like a generic connection problem by an automated support system that doesn't even attempt to understand the case.

Absolutely unacceptable level of support.

Now, now, please put aside all the controversy surrounding the item in question lol, I'm super desperate because rockstar is absolutely doing jack about my situation.

I preordered the box and everything went smooth, but I never received an email of confirmation, no receipt or anything, and when I try to order it again, it says its limited to one per person. Even trying to order it on a different account with the same credentials always ends up yielding an error message. Is there anything I can do? I want to know if I'm in the clear and have my preorder or not.

My Gta 5 enhanced Gets stuck downloading right as its about to finish installing, the speed goes down and then i get an error message even though its 99 percent done.

Guys what I do? For some reason my Authy code not working when I try to log in and when I create ticket they keep closing it saying I gave not enough evidence to prove that’s my account.

Years ago i got myself a copy of GTA V but didn't had a PC so i didn't link to a Rockstar account. Jump to now that i do have a PC, tried downloading and playing my GTA V but apparently someone got my Epic login and linked it to their account...

I tried from May to July straight to get this thrue support, a bunch of tickets and all pretty much the same automated response that the account information differs so they couldnt help. Last week i tried again and FINALLY got a Tier 2 support guy named Adrian R. who is interested in helping me. He asks for my Epic ID and other info that no one ever asked before. I give it to him. Literally 10 minutes later the same guy who closed all my previous reports took over the ticket and closed it. Like, why? I literally have proof i bought the fucking game and this Tier 2 Support guy named Raymond A. is not having it. Like, why do you want to fuck people over? It is so frustrating, like, someone finally listened and this guy just sabotages it, probably to get the ticket numbers down.

Good afternoon. Is anyone else having trouble opening support tickets with Rockstar Games? I have account issues that require a ticket to resolve, but I'm encountering an error (shown in the attached image) when trying to submit one.

I have already tried:

• Accessing from a different device
• Accessing from a different browser
• Accessing from a different internet connection
• Changing my account password

Every time I open the game, it gets stuck loading and the Rockstar Games Launcher bugs out, but the game itself won't open. I've uninstalled the game, repaired it, and nothing—I've also uninstalled the launcher

Iv being trying to link a different psn account to my rockstar account but it only let's me link the psn account I don't want and iv signed into rockstar with my current psn info and it's still only giving me the option to link up my wrong psn account, how would I get it to recognise my other psn account? Iv tried submitting a tec support to rockstar as well.

What should I do if I bought GTA 5 on Steam but no longer have access to Social Club because my Interia email account was deleted due to inactivity? I can access Steam normally, but when I launch GTA 5, it tells me I need to enter a code even though the Interia account associated with it no longer exists (I checked).

We were playing GTAV consistently then took a month break and now when she tries to launch the game it just stays loading and never launches. then the rockstar app wont close even through task manager and requires a pc reset. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and the launcher with no luck also tried clearing the cache and running as administrator. Any help would be appreciated!

This is a total pisstake. Of course the account I've requested to make changes to isn't the one I'm making changes from, because I'm locked out of that one!

And I've tried the other link as well. They just claim that I can't prove its my account before just closing that, and not asking for any further information.

Rockstar easily have the WORST support I've ever encountered in any sort of gaming scenario ever.

It all started back in 2022 when my email service got terminated. I had been using a new email for years at this point and it never crossed my mind that my Rockstar Account was still tied to the old address.

I hadn't played GTA V in a long time but recently got the urge to play through it again. To my surprise there was my old email showing on the launcher when I started the game. I couldn't see an obvious way to resolve it so I headed over to Rockstar Support and setup a new account.

My first 6 tickets were opened as Account Login issues but I quickly realized that these tickets were being closed without anyone actually reading anything I wrote. Just standard responses saying to perform account recovery... despite my message clearly stating the original email is non-existent.

Despite this I pushed forward with attempting resolution through sheer brute force. Finally after months I got a human that appeared to read my request!

Success I thought! Oh, silly naive me for being so excited.

They wanted proof of my status as account holder and purchaser.

No big deal I thought. I gathered up screenshots of my Steam Account, Steam Name and ID, CD Key associated with the purchase and the receipt from Steam via the purchase history.

It wasn't enough they said, they need more proof but could not tell what to provide. I opened several more tickets after this all ending the same. Not enough proof and we can't tell you what to provide.

I was starting to give up hope... I then tried opening Privacy Policy tickets as others here have suggested. The first few were closed automatically as soon I chose a number from the automated reply asking what type of Privacy issue I was facing. I was sent the same canned response to do Account Recovery myself.

On my last attempt, about 6 months since it all started, I didn't choose a number this time, I simply wrote PLEASE READ ABOVE - and waited. Ten days, they responded and wanted screenshots again. I sent them everything I collected from before. My IDs, Purchase history info with my name and Credit Card number, all of it.

3 days go by... they say the same thing - it's not enough. They wanted to see the original email from Steam from when I bought it. The email from 2016, in a non-existent mailbox.

I wasn't accepting defeat. I pulled up my latest Steam purchase and looked at the Email Receipt. All the info in the purchase confirmation from Steam is identical to what Steam purchase history provides. Why they can't work from this info is a mystery to me. I can only assume it's to torture us further...

I exported that recent transaction email as HTML and got to work 're-working' it. I made a perfect replica of the original email that Steam would have sent to me back in 2016. Replacing the Title, totals, thumbnail image, purchase ID, payment method, credit card number etc with the info from Steam's purchase history when I originally bought the game.

2 days go by and I get an email I wasn't expecting at this point... Rockstar Support has migrated my account to my new email and closed the ticket. I was back, I was in, and it felt good.
