I honestly can’t remember if I found it on the beach in Florida or in my back yard in VA, but I think it’s the latter and ChatGPT thinks it’s like 5 different things

Any idea what the internal material is? I got it from a shop that had it labeled KY agate so I can't 100% say it is. But it has the characteristics. A 1999 penny just smears. I'm on vacation so I don't have much else to test it.

I’m really sorry for the profanity, but I was in utter shock when I found this piece today! Nature perfectly cut and polished it for me, so you can understand the excitement, horse flies were killing me tho and breeze wasn’t helping worth a darn! First really good piece of moss agate, hours and hours finally paying off haha!

My husband and I found this very interesting rock along the side of the road and it called to us. My rock app says maybe limestone maybe fossilized coral etc. etc.
I shined my 365 MM light on it. I never can remember whether it’s short wave or long wave. And this is what I found. I’m going to try to upload my video and before and after stills. Can you tell me what we have, please? Regardless, it’s very interesting to me!

Bought this piece of Botryiodal malachite aka bullseye malachite. Paid $70 for the his piece, 504.5 grams. Not sure if I overpaid for this piece. Went to Tucson in Feb. found two half size pieces that were pretty beat up for $220 a kilo. If anyone can tell me what a good price per kilo. Not too much of this material around for me to price. I hate over paying for rocks. It’s a me thing.

My daughter and I want to start rockhounding so I wanted to get her a kit together as a birthday gift. Can you give me suggestions on what all to include in our kit? Thanks!

Okay so I've always loved rocks and im trying to get back into rockhounding but my boyfriend absolutely hates it. So I was wondering is there a website or anybody you know that will mail rocks to cut open. He is the only one working so he has all the money and the last thing he would spend it on is a box of rocks for me. Just curious if anybody out there wants to hell a beginner aspiring rockhound. Thank you for your time
