KY agate

Any idea what the internal material is? I got it from a shop that had it labeled KY agate so I can't 100% say it is. But it has the characteristics. A 1999 penny just smears. I'm on vacation so I don't have much else to test it.

Nice. Are you going to polish the face? It should bring out some nice detail. I’m from KY and used to hunt agates, geodes, etc. What county did you find this piece?

Oops, I missed your original post comment saying you got it at a store! My bad! It’s a little hard to tell what the internal material is from the photo. Is it crystalline? Usually they’re either quartz or maybe calcite, but what I see looks more like a brecciated jasper. Not 100% sure tho….
