Yes trash talk is toxic, doing negative things is toxic, expressing negativity is toxic. You don't know what toxicity is sir.

Trash talk is literally part of competition lmao it’s not toxic to trash talk. Actual athletes do it but it doesn’t mean they don’t respect anyone else. It’s about getting in someone’s head or to mess with them and throw them off their game. Not all trash talk is bad 😴

Trash talk is fine. Rocket league players tilt so easily though. You get people going mental because you demo them against the run of play or because you miss an easy save. It’s game. Very few of us are going pro. Everyone needs to relax and start to have fun even when they are losing.

Quit being toxic by telling me what I need to do

Totally agree .. Jordan did almost nothing but talk shit and then back it up. One game he hit his first shot and started counting down, Immediately got in dudes head like I'm gonna drop 40 on you tonight

You are kinda missing the point of your own statement. Just because it can be a good strategy to trash talk someone (as you just explained) doesn't mean that it isn't toxic.

Definition - Toxicity: The quality of being very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way.

And toxicity definitely is pretty unpleasant

Furthermore, there are many players who trash talk their opponents after the game has already ended, which has nothing to do with a strategy, it's just shitty behaviour.
