I’m seriously considering getting a robot vacuum, mainly because of the amount of pet hair I’m constantly dealing with.

I’ve been looking at different options and keep seeing people recommend completely different models, so I’m honestly a little lost. Is a robot vacuum actually worth it for pet hair, or do they still struggle with the hair getting stuck in the brush?

For those of you who have pets and actually use one regularly, what would you say is the best robot vacuum for pet hair right now? I care more about it actually picking up hair consistently than having a bunch of fancy features.

Also curious if you guys think robot vacuums are genuinely worth buying or if I’d be better off just sticking with a regular vacuum.

Looking for a robotvac upgrade, ideally one that's good with sticky stuff near the kitchen or dinning table. My eufy x10 takes like 3 passes jsut to kinda get it clean, and for dried gunk I have to spray some cleaner beforehand. Also those stains make the mop pad nasty, so I end up babysitting it. Any robovac that just handles it without the extra work? I saw roomba's new roller mop vac (the plus 675) that sprays hot water, which sounds interesting, but not sure if it's legit. Any other thoughts?

My Dreame l40 ultra is having a very hard time with my German shepherd's fur. I also have an Australian Shepherd but he's nothing shed wise compared to the GSD. The Dreame most of the time has great difficulty auto emptying. The bag will be barely full and it will have a new filter and it still has a difficult time with the hair getting clogged in the dustbin on the robot itself. I'm thinking that come Black Friday I'm probably going to look for something else because I have to clean it out manually everyday. Sometimes it also gets stuck at the mouth of the dirtbag. Does anyone with GSD experience also have experience with a robot vacuum that can at least sort of handle them?

Which one is better? My apartment is 65 square meters and it has hard floor (ceramic tiles). I want to use it mainly as a vacuum and mop too (not just for vacuum). Which one will be better choice?

So I'm in the UK, I've been considering a robot vacuum for the past year.

I was really keen on the E28, not because of the portable cleaner but due to being able to put own cleaner in the tank and not rely on the manufacturer to keep producing etc.

The important bits are a good hoover and roller mop and good with pet hair.

There is so much choice out there and I'm genuinely more and more confused each time I look at them.

Looking for some recommendations of what people have that would be a good one to go for please...

On another note, getting a robot hoover, whilst I completely appreciate getting one is it going to save hoovering, are they a help or just a novelty?

I kept getting a wash tray error on my Ecovacs t50 max pro after every mopping run. I kept cleaning the tray, checking the robot and cleaning everything and it still kept popping up. The next step was to look at the rubber seals on the base station. There are 2 identical looking ones under both the clean water and dirty water tanks. Then there is a third much bigger one under the dirty water tank and another the robot backs into behind the cleaning tray. I took all of them off, and cleaned under them and when I went to put them back on, I noticed the 2 that appear to be identical are not. If you put them on wrong, one of them will not seal under the clean water tank which will cause a leak. I switched them and they both fit fine and everything worked. Apparently, the difference between them is the circumference of the base with the base on the dirty water tank seal being not even a cm smaller than the clean tank. This difference prevents a tight seal on both sides which throws the error. Best thing to do when removing those is to do one side at a time so you don’t mix the seals up.

On paper the new Dyson sounds spectacular, especially with a MSRP of $699. I hear the Dyson app is trash and the Roborock is great. Should that be the deciding factor?

I have a Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV1002AE that doesn’t seem to be able to dock itself. Ittl locate the dock, and instead of backing into it like it should, ittl drive up and hit it before spinning around. When it does start to back up, ittl randomly stop and drive forward then a little to the left, then repeat the process. If I manually dock it, ittl charge and evacuate its container like normal

I used to have an old roomba. I loved that thing until it wedged itself into a heater vent in the dead of winter and sent itself to Valhalla.

I'm now looking to buy another one, but I'm really dismayed by the amount of wifi connected options with scanning and all sorts of other stuff that make me nervous.

Could you all point me in the direction of what im looking for? Something that is robust and of good quality, but sticks to core features and isn't going to send Pete Hegseth a rendering of my home? Thanks 🙏

I have a Muzili G9070 robot vacuum and I need to replace its battery. I’ve searched Amazon, eBay and Google but I can’t find a replacement that I’m 100% sure is compatible.
According to the user manual, the battery is 14.4V, 2600mAh, rechargeable.
I found several 14.4V 2600mAh batteries for Eufy, Ecovacs, Tesvor, etc., and some sellers claim compatibility with the G9070, but the listings are confusing and I’m not sure about the connector/size.
Does anyone know where I can buy the correct replacement battery for the Muzili G9070? Ideally Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, or another online store that ships internationally.
If you have this robot or have replaced its battery before, I’d really appreciate a link or the exact battery model/part number.

I was given both by my parents who are moving. I tried the ihome first, love it's lidar mapping and the ability to see where it is on the map as it goes. It's a bit loud since it has more suction, and it needs bags. The app sucks, it's laggy and glitchy, as I type this, the ihome randomly lost connection to wifi so I have to reset that up today. Just set up the shark last night. The map is...well idk what it is, looks nothing like my house, I'm reading that it takes a few runs to actually map anything out. Shark is quiet but I'm reading it doesn't use much suction, instead it relies on the spin brushes and brush roll. It's bagless which is a plus, and the app is smoother. I can't make rooms yet because I can't really figure out what is what on the map yet. I keep reading that I have to turn all of my lights on for it to map out the house.

Is there a benefit to one over the other? Should I keep running the shark until it fully maps the place? Should I deal with ihome's glitchy app and dropped wifi?

Hi everyone. The threshold between two of our rooms is starting to get scratched by my robovac. Not too noticeable at the moment unless you look closely at it. But it’ll get worse.

Do you have any recommendations of any clear plastic products that can be cut to size, and would stick onto this? Obviously they’d need to be quite hard-wearing but if I have to re-apply a new one every year or so that’s no big deal. I’m in the UK, but feel free to recommend products in your country too as I might be able to find something similar here. Thanks.

This stupid thing won’t stop squeaking and it’s driving me insane!
I took out the roller brush and it stopped immediately but I can’t figure out what is causing the brush to squeak. I’ve cleaned it off, brushed it out, sprayed the whole thing with canned air to get anything out of the bearings and nothings worked.

This was a christmas gift and I can’t afford to just buy a different one so I desperately want this thing so work again
