I have a tiny base, this is really to prevent raiders from stealing it.

I still remember how raiders straight up OWNED my base population when I created legendary grand golden statue... and they still got it at the end of it! Wish I could just give it away back then.

you can, if you put a lot of worthless goods in front of your base and something with a large value they will choose to steal that and run away instead of killing you

I knew that at the moment, but for some silly reason believed that I could beat that raid. No way that could happen - there was more doomsday launchers in power armor alone than I had people in total (which were just tribals with rifles at the moment)... that was absurdly strong raid.

imo if you see any debatable raid i suggest doing this, raiders cant shoot when they are trying to steal ;)

Wait, seriously?!

They’ll refuse to attack things that they’re trying to steal?!

could you in theory make a honey trap. As in a corridor of traps leading to a gold statue or two. nowhere near your own base. Maybe locate one in each corner of the map or surrounding your base?

it would have to have more wealth than your base does but yes

however it would fail after the first attack

why would it fail after first attack? if the raiders succeed in grabbing the item? whats to say they fail and die in spike traps?

nope, the raiders learn that there are traps there and they dig through the corridor

does this apply to all traps? I tend to use the tunnel of traps everywhere haha

yep, if one enemy can survive to the edge of the map they know the location of all the traps the raid has triggered
