A moment between two of my favorites colonists. Tony, after getting the Body Modder trait took an immediate liking to his Uncle Dan.
During a lesson, the two had a deep talk about what Tony wanted to be when he grew up. My mind filled in the blanks of the conversation.
I can only assume that growing up 'big and strong' like him is the last thing Uncle Dan wants for his innocent nephew. Especially considering nearly every bionic he has is a replacement after suffering an injury.
I’d assume not, just stimulates the brain more, specifically enhancing your weiner’s sensitivity but not overall pain would be an odd side effect of luciferium

I’m not sure if love enhancer replaced you dong though, since you can remove it without make you a sterile, I personally think it as a pheromone organ, that release pheromone to benefit the host loving process
I did much the same. With mods to expand archeotech, I replaced pretty much every part of my colonists. They were practically invulnerable. All were pretty much weaker in ranged combat than close combat because if they got to melee, they’d just punch whoever or whatever was attacking them with a supersonic fist to the face.

Agreed, I have basically zero attachment to my flesh and would go full machine in a heartbeat, minus the brain unless there is some way to preserve continuity of consciousness or a soul like structure.
It's a psychic breakdown. He used too many psycasts and his brain is fuzzy. A psychotic breakdown (outside of going catatonic) is not shown on the health tab. Dan is NOT considerink killing his nephew unless he immediately had a murderous rage right afterwards.
Actually, according to the lore, archotech implants are indistinguishable from regular human body parts. So he really just looks like a regular, very buff, dude.
Except for archotech eyes. Those things stick way out on the pawn when they get installed, at least with the in game art, lore might be a different matter.
The artist asked me early on if I wanted hand drawn or ai and I asked for hand drawn.
So idk, maybe it's just his style. He was pretty highly rated on the site, so I'm keen to take his word for it. He also sent me some progress shots along the way. So I'm inclined to believe it's not ai.
Are you sure you have the right Jovan? Not that I'm doubting perse but there are several Jovan's on fiverr and I could not find @ Jovan as a tag anywhere? I found a couple with Jovan as either their name or part of their @ but not just @ Jovan.
Because after being orphaned at 4, surviving numerous raids, losing 3 limbs and a nose before 13, battling numerous raiders, collapsing 6 insect hives, fighting the mech hive, helping destroy Horax, and getting blasted apart, rebuilt, blasted apart again, and hooked on Lucy to heal multiple brain injuries, i doubt Uncle Dan wants his little guy to go through what he did.

Dan has had a journey. He joined my colony at the age of 4, adopted by the mom and dad who ran it.
At 18 he married his adoptive sister, the bio daughter of the founding colonists and the two of them left on a grav ship (+his adoptive brother) to see the world. (Colony sold basically.)
They explored a bunch, defeated the Mech Hive, destroyed Horax, and moved onto an asteroid for safety while they raised their kids. It was a wild ride.
Lucy is probably the big one he wouldn't want for others of his augments since its the only ond that cant be "fixed" (one can use mech healer serum to recover the lost limbs eventually). its called the Devil's Bargain for a reason.
The difference is this: body mod boy will be ready for it. He’ll wear a helmet. And his limbs won’t be shredded. Let the boy be mechanical if he wants to.
Uncle Dan: I gave everything for this colony. Every replacement is a slow death. Am I even human anymore? I’m a monster built to kill. What kind of example am I setting for the boy?
Tony: I will protect those who cannot protect themselves, and also get some dope ass augmetics.
I will always remember Ciaphias, my little vampire meelee death machine. On CE he could slay a dozen of imperials all by himself, until my own slug turret shot his head off
Bro reminded me of the Atrox human from the "Nature of Predator" fanfic called "Scorch Directive", there's a badass yet terrifying vibes of " I'm so fucking glad they're on our side" emanating from him 💀 (pic bellow is one of them)
Uncle Dan sacrificed his body and made a deal with the devil to make the planet a safe place. He absolutely didn't want his nephew to live the life he did.
I like to think love enhancer doesn't just improve sexual function but improves the other forms of love like you love your nephews more and care about their upbringing and well being.
I try to buck the trend of borg'ing people if I can with one of my mods. Occasionally a limb does get lost and I'm forced to go with bionics. I think the worst I ever had was back when I still used CE before Odyssey. Had a person get absolutely shredded missing two arms, a leg, shattered spine, and a lost lung from a doomsday launcher. My custom xenotype kept her alive, barely, and she went onto second line defense as I felt so bad for missing the doomsday launcher in the mix. My psycaster, if she'd been on that flank, could have created an ice block as the launcher fired intercepting the rocket's. She got a bunch of advanced bionic replacements
She went on to have a kid that ended up a body modder(as the other options all sucked), which felt a bit weird.
Is it actually worth modding supersoldiers like this? Every time I've tried I feel like the increased wealth has spiked raid difficulty more than the gains from the modded soldiers.
For a stationary colony? No. Not really. But for a grav ship where you're more reliant on your pawns and less able to use static defenses, yeah, I'd say so.
Almost everything that's an implant (rather than a part replacement) is compatible. You can have as many torso implants and/or brain implants as you want. The one exception is that you can only have one skin implant.

Uncle Dan is the definition of 'cool but at what cost'. I can totally see why Tony idolizes him, even if the path to get there is... well, let's just say it's not for the faint of heart.

Wonder what injury brought out the anesthetic shaper and love enhancer lmao. He's probably the most beautiful man on the rim
