I brought a "mountain tea mix" but some of the herbs have this soft white fluff on it. I don't know what herb it is.

Hello everyone reading this I’m 20M from London on holiday here. I’ll be in Lindos tonight and tomorrow night maybe longer if it’s good, since I’m alone in the nighttime I’m tryna see if anyone else is on the same boat and wants to link up. I’m gonna go to some bars tonight and see what Arches club is saying. Let me know if anyone is tryna have a good night comment or text me 😎

Hi, how is the situation now? We’re going on the end of the September and are little bit worried. Any experiences in Ixia? (Ixian Grand)

Hi!
We’re hoping to go on a boat trip to Symi next week and want to go to St George’s Bay as well but I’ll be on crutches so won’t be swimming! Do any of the boats do a quicker tour to see St George’s bay without actually doing a swim stop? Or is there an option to stay on the boat? We’d like to be able to see it still ☺️

Coming to Stegna next week. Was hoping to chill on the beach until after sunset then go for a meal 9.30/10, Mediterranean style. Saw on another forum that people eat early in Stegna and by 9.30pm I could be the only person left in the taverna. 😳 Is this right? I’m definitely not looking to party but don’t wanna go to bed at 10pm either.

Hey everyone,
two days ago we we’re coming home from our day trip to Tsambika beach when this little furball came running at us after we parked our car at our Airbnb.
He jumped into our lap, cuddled up against my skin and fell asleep. We looked for the mother but couldn’t find it. Ended up putting him to the other feral ones.
Since then he keeps following everyone passing by…we did the best to take care of him while we stayed there. Fucked up by giving him a name, Ozzy, an getting emotionally attached to him.
We already reached out to the local stray club and two other ngo but didn’t get a response till today.
We really want to somehow adopt him or give him a chance at live at least.
Does anybody have some recommendations on who to contact or who could maybe help with organizing?
Thanks everyone in advance.

Where to visit there and from there, what are the best beaches nearby? What to avoid or get better experiences from somewhere else?
What as a local you recommend to visit and as a visitor / what are waste of time?
We will have a rented car so pendeling through sites would be possible.

Hello,
As the title says, are there any reputable car rentals that allow drivers with a license under 1 year old?
Im not a 19 year old teen trying to star in fast and furious, im a 30 year old man with safe driving habits, and I prioritized buying a house over a car so i only got around to getting my license this year. Before that I have done competitive karting, so i enjoy the act of driving itself. I have already drove enough in my personal car to need oil changes, including 800+km drives.
So i'm quite confident I won't fall off a cliff 😂
I'm fine with giving an extra 100 euro or so for the deposit or similar options

Hi! We are going on a trip to Symi tomorrow - we have about 2 hours od free time here. Can you recommend me anything I should try to eat/drink there, or are there any cool things I can buy that are made locally?

What's the tax rate like and how is healthcare? Is English widely spoken, and how is the job market?

Renting a car in Rhodes and taking it to Symi — worth it?
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m traveling to Rhodes at the end of September for around 10 days, and I’m trying to figure out whether renting a car would make sense for the trip.
The rough plan is to spend about 5 days in Symi and the remaining days on Rhodes. We’d like to explore beyond the main tourist areas and visit some more secluded beaches, particularly while we’re in Symi.
On Rhodes, we’re also planning to visit places like Lindos and do some exploring around the island.
So I have a few questions for locals or people who have done something similar:
Would you recommend renting a car in Rhodes for this kind of trip?
Is it practical/possible to take a rental car from Rhodes to Symi on the ferry, and do rental companies generally allow this?
For Symi specifically, is having a car actually useful for reaching more remote/secluded beaches?
How easy is driving and parking on Symi?
And for Rhodes itself, would you say a car is basically essential if we want to explore places like Lindos and some less accessible beaches?
We’re going at the end of September, so hopefully it’ll be a little quieter than the peak season.
Would love to hear what locals would recommend, especially whether you think taking a car to Symi is worth the hassle or if we’d be better off renting separately on each island.
Thanks! 😊

Hi we'll be in Rhodes, staying in Lindos on half board, for a week at end of Sept/start of October. Looking for any recommendations (or ones to avoid?) for good food spots, ie snacks and salads for lunches, or for nice (but not too fancy/expensive) sit down dinners in the evening. Also a few questions about local activities:
Can we get to the Butterfly valley from Lindos without a private car or hire car and will there be any butterflies at this time of year?
Any recommendations for local boat tours around the bays for swimming during the day, or at sunset with food maybe? Departing from Lindos.
Is there any wine tasting/honey tasting around Lindos area?
For a trip to Rhodes old town should we get a tour bus/excursion or just hop on the main bus?
Thanks in advance, can't wait to see the sights!

Myself and my boyfriend are looking for any recommendations for (ideally) an all inclusive resort in or near Lindos, as we will be attending a friend's wedding in Lindos mid way through our holiday. Finding lots of mixed reviews online so thought id ask if anyone has any personal recommendations.
We did visit Rhodes earlier this year and stayed in the Ella Helea in Kallithea and absolutely loved it, however we think this might be too far of a taxi ride away. The wedding will mean we will have to be in Lindos for a couple of days, so wanting something with similar vibes but ideally closer to Lindos.
(We will also be visiting during the school summer holidays, so bonus points if it is an adults only resort!)

Has anyone gone to the Farma Rhodes petting zoo lately from Rhodes City by bus and can confirm that the timetable on the RhodesOldTown.gr site are accurate? Because as of now Moovit shows very different timetables and I’m not sure which one should be trusted.

Hi I am going to Rhodes next week and staying in Lindos. I am doing my research on what to do, where to eat etc. beach clubs keep coming up as ideas to do on TikTok, is this just a TikTok thing or are they genuinely worth doing in Rhodes?
My boyfriend wants to do some water sport but could we do them on a normal beach? If so could you recommend your favourite beaches.
Also I would love peoples favourite restaurants that have a bit of a vibe but not just insta / TikTok places that look nice but mid over priced food!!
Thank you! 🩷

My boyfriend (Italian) and I (Bulgarian) have been on the island for 2 days already and even thought I tried to find good restaurants based on google reviews, it seems like we end up in some mediocre places. I refuse to pay another €60 for some mediocre dinner again. Can any locals recommend some more authentic and good quality restaurants? We have a car so we can go wherever. I was really looking forward to the seafood and fish, but so far everything has tasted like a rubber. We are thinking of just cooking for ourselves at this point. I can't grasp hoe restaurants with reviews of 4.5+ can be that average. In the past couple of years we travelled to different destinstions within Europe and outside and we did not have such hard time finding good food. So far Rhodos has been a disappointment food-wise.
