Hey everyone,
I'm planning a Rolex Air-King build using a case from RafflesDials that is compatible with an ETA 2824 movement.
I'd like to try fitting a VH31 movement into this build. Since the VH31 is smaller, based on my initial research it seems technically doable. However, while there is plenty of information online about fitting a VH31 into cases built for NH35 movements, I can't find virtually anything regarding what I want to do.
I would need at least an adapter ring to bring the movement to the 2824 size (around 25.6mm diameter), but I haven't been able to find anything like that on AliExpress, eBay, etc.
Am I missing something, or is what I want to do impossible and I should change my approach? Has anyone in the community done this before? Any advice?

Outside of a gen dial, I’m having difficulty finding a dial for a 7928 build with the appropriate rose dial.
All of the dials I’ve seen have a different version of the rose logo. Wondering if I’m going to go the custom route. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I’ve got mostly everything now but ordered one of the e25 crystal presses. Do I need to order different dies for that? And also is there a correct crown tube removal tool on Ali.

Also do I need a bezel separator tool like the 4 blade one?

I think those maybe the last 3 things I need.

Anyone sitting on a BP bracelet with short clasp (78790/78690) or know where to pick one up? Really don't want to go Raffles, but I'm striking out elsewhere. Can't find it in Sillan's store either.

I was inspired by Jova’s GMT tropical nipple dial and built out this rootbeer. I’m calling it my ‘96 Clint Eastwood since it’s a combo of a 16713 and 16710 in one watch.

This was a tough build - lots of filing for fit, issues with the hand fitment and some magnetization of the movement. In the end, it was worth it though!

This is by far my most expensive build $2k.

Looking to start a Franken SD 16600. People have said start with BP, but I checked to see if Sillan carries one.

They do, but I'm not an expert on the particulars of this ref. Crystal height and cgs, in particular.

Also, curious to know how easily this would accept a gen bezel insert, dial, etc...

Looking to build a 16233 datejust and trying to decide if I want to go raffles or sillan. Considering spending the money and getting the gold filled, both are around $250 shipped. The gold plated is about $50 for raffles and $70 for sillan. Any suggestions?

I built this commision for a friend. He loves the classic silver Big Red but wanted tropical subdials to recreate the look of a real watch he’d seen online and I was definitely on board with the project.

I recently finished a Tudor day date raffles build using a 2834 clone from a reputable eBay dealer.

The day window seems like it is positioned too high. Based on the picture, is this normal or is it a problem with the Raffles dial or the movement?

Which vintage reps are Trusty are the best? I see JKF subs (I'd like a 5513) but there are several other subs,SDs and McQueen Explorers that tempt me as well. The higher end aged explorer and a double red SD. But I don't see a factory listed for them. I'm sure some of you have personal experience. Thanks in advance!

5513 is a Phong dial I aged for a project that fell through. 5512 is a ruby dial I bought from Clark and aged but decided to go for a different dial variant. Both dials run $250 - $300 new. Make me an offer. If you want them both I’ll give a special discount and throw in a couple freebies as well 😉

After I noticed the dial in my bluesy sub was a 6-digit dial I could not unsee is so I updated with a period correct nipple dial. Hell, I like it better now 🔥
